Firefox Users Targeted By Rare Piece Of Malware
Mr Inviso replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I have been using Firefox since 1.0 and love it. I just checked and their is no instance of Grease Monkey in the add-ons. I use the free Avast anti virus and active scanner. Once Avast has got this Malware into their data base I think the active scanner would catch it. And then I'd have to do a full scan to make sure it isn't hiding in my system. please correct me if my logic isn't correct on this. Thanks for the heads up Saint Michael! -
I just love joomla! It took me a while to get used to it. I jumped right into it without really reading any of the tutorials. I regret that and have since learned to read the documentation first. It is easy to get stuck using the web based install, which in my opinion is the easiest way to get it up and running. I had problems with getting the data base names and ftp settings right. Then once installed getting the articles to associate withe the correct menus is still giving me fits. My favorite part of the install is tweaking the templates using my limited html and css skills. I guess if I just sat down and tried reading the documentation first I would have a lot better luck putting together a quality site. Good luck with the wide world of portals.

I have to admit this forum is great. As for those who have a problem with your myCENT earnings. Maybe your posts aren't filled with enough quality content. Remember that Content is King! I find trying to help out others as I have been helped is a big motivator. Good luck, good posting and good night.

I had mine out when I was five I have real good luck with Advil for fever and pain. I give my kids liquid Motrin(Advil) when they are running a fever. Maybe that would help with both the pain and swelling. Hope you get better real soon.

I have two hosting accounts. I got both of them right here on Xisto. One of them has been earned through posting here in the forums, and the other is The free one liner from Free Web Hosting - Qupis. By the way thank you Qupis for the hosting and great forums. My rant isn't with you guys here. I requested a domain name transfer from Melborne IT over a week ago. They seem to be dragging their feet on this matter. After numerous support tickets, still no transfer. I originaly got the name through MS Live. MS hosted it for about a year. They have this stupid WYSIWYG editor to build the site. It got to be such a pain using their "themes". So I found free hosting and started learning how to use cpanel and insatalling various scripts. I was going to host my TDL on the full featured Xisto host. And host my friends domain on the Free Web Hosting - Qupis. I tried setting up joomla 1.5.8 on the Free Web Hosting - Qupis account and the install went bad. I don't know what happened but the install went to hell in a hand basket. I've set joomla up numerous times on other hosts with no problems. I'm out of work right now due to health concerns and need something to do and was so excited when both hosting accounts were approved. Now I'm just sitting here waiting on Melborne IT. I think I'll try setting up my friends domain as an add on domain on the Xisto account. I gave it a whirl the other night but seemed to run into some road blocks as far as user names go and such. I'll give it a try again today. Thanks for listening.

Does Using Google Adwords To Advertise Work? Lets look at the facts
Mr Inviso replied to billy101's topic in Business Forum
I have been trying to make money online for a couple of years now. I started out with Cafepress and it is the only thing I have made any money at all with. I tried the whole traffic exchange thing. You know promoting one traffic exchange on another just to get people in my down line. Well that turned out to be a vicious circle. Don't get me wrong all the time and effort wasn't wasted. I have learned alot about making money online. The first and foremost thing is to have a product or service that people need, Forget the get rich quick schemes. I did make some money doing get paid to offers. Trying things like block buster movies through the mail. But you can only do that for so long before you run out of decent offers. My latest endeavor is to help local companies improve or establish their web presence. I feel that adwords is the key to this. and the trick with ad words is keywords. No one uses the yellow pages anymore. They just google plumbers for instance and bamm they get results instantly. I'm looking into targeting certian parts of town or zip codes. One of my clients only compatition on the web is located on the far northern side of town. So their should be no problem drumming up business for them. I hope these ideas help some people who are serious about making a living. The web is a pretty big office space and I'm sure you can find a cubicle(or suite) that your comfortable working in. -
I had my first domain with Microsoft Office Live Hosting. I kept running into the same problems mentioned above. Nothing was customizable. The WYSIWYG was a real pain. So I quit the service. They released the domain name to me. It was registured with Melborneit. Well when it came time to renew the name at Melborneit they wanted to charge me $30.00 a year to keep it registered. I recently transferred it to go daddy and am now only paying $9.99 a year. I hosted the name with 000webhost for about a year until I realized that they were pushing porn and other non relevant ads on my customers. Then I tried another post for hosting company that was run by a bunch of immature moderators .That's when I found Xisto. I haven't earned my hosting here yet, but am looking forward to a lasting relationship with you guys. as far as ASP vs. PHP and SQL goes I don't know enough to voice an educated opinion. But I sure do love the flexibility that cpanel offers.

I'm getting this error during the database creationphase of the install. Cookies do not appear to be enabled on your browser client. You will not be able to install the application with this feature disabled. Alternatively, there could also be a problem with the server's session.save_path. If this is the case, please consult your hosting provider if you don't know how to check or fix this yourself. Do you have any ideas? I'm using WampServer Version 2.0. Also the Wamp icon in the task bar says that Wamp is offline, even though I;ve restarted all services. and turned off Avast(my anti virus software) opps..... Sorry to bother you express. I didn't follow your instructions to the tee. I put a password for "root" while creating the data base. I'm used to doing this online and creating the data base(using cpanel mysql). This is my first time using wamp and I'm sure I'll be back later with more blunders. Have a great day. And thanks again.

Fps/tps Co-op Games Finding them is hard, but when you do...
Mr Inviso replied to BravoNight's topic in Computer Gaming
I love FPS online games. My son and I really like Combat Arms by NEXON. I don't think it is really considered a co-op, but if you team up with some other players on the same team it can be real fun. We cover each other to get the advantage on the other team and try to keep them pinned down. My nine year old is so dang good at it. I'm just an old man newb. And probably always will be. But that dosn't stop me from enjoyiny the crud out of it. I get so excited some times I can't even manipulate the controls.More L8R -
I'm kinda new here at the forums. The last reply to this topic kinda hit home with me. I'm greatful that my child is being raised in an enviorment that he is color blind in. Their are at least ten different nationalities represented in his school. It kinda blows me away as I was raised in Southy (South Boston). As far as politics go, I live in the USA and am kinda getting used to the idea that President Elect Obama will be taking office early next year..

Can You Trace The Owner Of An Adsense Account?
Mr Inviso replied to rissee55's topic in Search Engines
I had a weird experience with ad sense. I built my site on another host. blended the ads with my theme. I was real happy with the results. I thought it looked good and the ads were relevant to the content of the site. Well I was checking out the site some time later and noticed that all the ads were still there, but now they were all about free web hosting and such. I never thought to check the source code and investigate the PUB codes. Thanks for the heads up on this one. Right away I suspected that the host was substituting their own ads for mine. LOL on me. We learn by doing. -
Antidepressants & Memory Loss memory loss
Mr Inviso replied to MartinaMargarethe's topic in Health & Fitness
Martina, I sympathize with you. My story is quite similar to yours. I started on the anti depressants about ten years ago. I have tried them all. They seem to make me crazier than I already am. The ones that I was able to stick with made it to where I don't feel anything either good or bad. Recently I have started eating better like the other posts mentioned. One of the best things that I have done of late is started taking B-12. My father in law told me that as we get older our bodies loose the ability to break down our foods to the point where we get the essential nutrients needed to function properly. I have tried all kinds of vitamins and supplements to no avail. But the B-12 seems to keep me alert and calm at the same time. I'm no doctor or guru and I'm not trying to advise you to do anything. I'm just speaking from my experience, strength and hope. My experience is a lot of loss, my parents were murdered a few years ago and my brother killed himself a few years before that. my strength seems to be dwindling away slowly with each traumatic event in my life. And I'm just plain *bottom* running out of hope. The one thing that keeps me going is every day I see and hear about people that are a lot worse off than I am. The one thing that makes sense to me is, Garbage in = Garbage out. So whatever I put into my body and mind is what I'm going to end up getting back in my life. I wish you the best of luck. Their are a lot of free support groups out there, whether they are on the net or in your community. -
I've kinda had the same problems myself with other hosting companies. So I just started installing scripts myself. It involves a lot of trial and error. I also found that Fantastico is behind the times when it comes to having the latest versions of the software I wanted to use.

Talk To Anyone If you could talk to anyone, living or dead
Mr Inviso replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in General Discussion
I'd love to talk to the creator. Some of us have to have this whole religion/God thing screwed up. I'd want to know what the heck he really wants of me. I'd want to know why we are here. I have a lot of doubts about the whole God thing. -
Virus Help Cant get this sucker out
Mr Inviso replied to Echo_of_thunder's topic in Security issues & Exploits
I have had great luck with Avast. Some of my customers have been bringing me computers with multiple virus-trojans. If you install Avast then schedule a boot time scan. The computer will reboot then start the scan. The program will find the virus and ask you what you want to do with it. I choose the option to "Delete All". The only thing you have to watch out for is Avast will find a diffrent type of threat (malware for instance) and you have to choose Delete all again. It takes awhile for the scan to complete. And you have to keep an eye on it and choose the approite action. This program hasn't let me down yet. I'm sure that someone could be more technical in the explanation about how it works. But I've had great luck so far. I've quit looking for individual fixes and just let the software do the work. Good luck to you and let me know how it works out for you. Best of all the software is free, you just have to register to get a license key. -
000webhost Review Review of the hosting
Mr Inviso replied to Mike90014's topic in Websites and Web Designing
000webhost was the first hosting service I ever used. I knew nothing about hosting or how to go about building web sites. I will say that I had a lot of fun learning how to use cPanel. I guess the straw that broke the camels back for me with 000webhost were the pornographic ads that was pushed on my users. This probably could have been cured using a decent .htacess file. As far as their referral program goes. I think it is a scam. I never got anything from them. I'm looking foward to a good relationship with Xisto. -
Inbox Dollars Best Money making Site-I Got Paid
Mr Inviso replied to anime-ak's topic in Business Forum
I have been at this for about a year with Inboxdollars. I can't wait to get to the thirty dollar mark. It has been alot of work. It seems to me that only some of the emails are paid emails. Paid email isn't the way to make money on the net. -
Suicide seems to be a permanent answer to a temporary situation. I believe this because my brother killed himself a few hours before his lawyer called saying that he would be cleared of a crime he didn't commit. I'm upset with Yahoo for posting this story. As far as I'm concerned they are telling people killing your self is an answer to your problems.

Mr Inviso replied to joeblogg's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hey JoeBlogg, It looks like your off to a good start. Have you thought of using a blogging platform like word press where people can leave comments. This would allow you to break up the sections into individual articles.
