  1. A few years, I used to be in love with this site: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ I've since moved on to http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ because phynix is such a great designer & friends.. But the first one does have a huge range of stuff and lots of it is really good.
  2. I learned the ropes from my dad.. Who's a PHP expert guy chipmunk thing. I used to think it was absolutely great! that you would type in all the separate little things like <HTML><HEAD><TITLE></TITLE></HEAD><BODY></BODY></HTML> but now I avoid it whenever possible because I must have typed that stuff 2 million times by now..
  3. Are you sure it's not an username or password problem? Because a 530 error means either your password's wrong, your username's wrong or the password and username doesn't match for the same account. You can try this page which has a basic explanation of some FTP errors.
  4. Task manager.. Is that the one where you press Ctrl + Alt + Delete to bring up the thing that can kill applications and processes?

    Hi!

Hey there!I have a Norwegian web designer friend called Magnus. He's cool :(Anyway, welcome to Asta and so on, hope you're going to be active and participate blah blah blah.. Sorry, I forgot where I put the "How to welcome new members" article, so this'll have to do.
  6. If you can hear it its probably because the song's in your cache so it loads fast.. The others should be able to hear it to, but you have to wait a while before it downloads into the cache first then plays.

    Link Counter

What exactly do you mean? If you want a counter that counts the number of times a link's been clicked on, you can try the one here. If you want a count of all the links you have, you probably want a links manager, which you can get here.
  8. Ok, this is a bit pointless, but I just wanted to point out some of the things that happen.. lol..
  9. For those with Photoshop, there is a plugin you can download at http://www.telegraphics.com.au/sw/, which allows you to save images as .ico
  10. I believe I have a ph34r of the ocean. o.0
  11. I don't use Myspace because a) They won't let me until I am 16 and I've had enough of fscking community sites.. There are so many out there - profilenation, vampirefreaks, darkstarlings..
  12. I have honestly never seen or heard of that before.. I can only recommend the usual stuff - check whether is it the right size and stuff?
  13. HotScripts: http://www.hotscripts.com/ Another site with links to those types of sites: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  14. Oh, lol, sorry. That totally escaped my mind. http://www.cutandpastescripts.com/
  15. nene.. ne.. nene... *stutters in terror*I'm going to get nightmares about giant eyeballs looking at me now..
  16. Here's a list of the current scripts they offer:GuestbookForm ProcessingNewsletterCounterRedirectionVotingRandom ImagesRecommendationText CounterRandom TextRandom LinksCountdownSign up is very simple, and once you have signed up you are shown a page with a link to the Members Area, where you can use the scripts listed above. They do not have any visible ads, there is only a <!-- Code Provided by Cutandpastescripts... .. .. --!> in the source code which they require you to leave in. The site is very fast and reliable, and you can have multiple scripts of the same type, e.g. 5 guestbooks and 3 random links.
  17. Thanks for the list ^^ For those that understand German, http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (.de.vu) http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ (.**.tf) The default is a popup, but you can switch that off in the options.
  18. Yes, dual booting's a good idea but you can't do it on a old computer. Some kinds of Linux take up more space than others, you should choose carefully.
  19. Recently, I've been working on overhauling a long time project of mine (well, and a few friends. But its mine because I've done all the work). Of course, I wanted to make it all spiffy and memorable to people with ultra short attention spans who need new stuff every few seconds to hold their memory. The first step would be to make our site stand out in the favourites, have a favicon.ico. The other thing I wanted was a custom cursor. So I went questing for a program that would allow me to do such things, and at the well known HTML site LissaExplains I found IconArt, a program that allows you to draw and save .cur .ico and .ani files. The site also includes a first time how-to-use thing, here, but the program's pretty self explanatory. Hope this discovery will be of use to someone!
  20. for the love of Tyr.. Anybody who does not have gmail and wants it should have gone to google and searched "gmail". Gmail Counter Stop?

Ok, so who here is actually planning to use up their 2150mb in the near/distant future?
  22. Yes, I drew it, otherwise it wouldn't be on my gallery. And yes! I had black hands for 4 hours before it would finally come off fully with industrial strength washing powder and soap.

    Quake 4 When?

That's a great logo! I don't like the new Xbox logo, but the Quake IV one looks good
  24. Ever wanted to learn to darn holes in your socks, fix the stupid annoying zipper that got stuck or how to write a proper thank you note? eHow.Com can help you with all of those, and more . I found the site when I was despairing over how I have to cook lunch on Sunday (I've only ever cooked in Home Ec at school and that was a subject I almost failed). It has an easy to use navigation system, and has a "related topics" and "related sites" tab which is really useful as well.
  25. Firefox screwed up our Windows. Or our computer went and screwed itself up with the help of firefox. Anyway, we don't use firefox any more in Windows, but we use it on our linux. Happy birthday!
