I use Win2k Pro and thats all I'll use for the rest of my life (until I get my new computer). I really dont need the flashy interface of WinXP but I need the stability and speed of Win2k. I LOVE WIN2K!!!

Instead of using ME or 98SE, you should use Win2k Pro. It's much more stable and safer. It also runs faster and has the same reqriurments as Windows ME: -Mr. Bradeli

If I were you, I'd get the Dell Inspiron 700m or Dell Inspiron 6000(d). They are pretty lightwieght and cheap and they also are very powerful. If you don't care about money and wieght, get the Dell Inspiron XPS, one of the most powerful notebooks around.PS - I hate Dell... but they do have the best laptops

I have one Compaq s3200nx that I updrade about once every 2 monthsAMD AthlonXP, 512MB ram, 160 and 120GB harddrives, WinXP and 2kMy mom uses a Dell Inspiron 8100 thats dieing very slowly.My old PC is a Compaq Presario 5152 that is dead. (computers just can't live for that long in my house).I'm working on building my own soon. I already orderd all the parts from Newegg and am waiting for them to come. 19" monitor on 1280 x 1024, 80hz refresh rate. I can see perfectly with it! My eyes are used to it so, It's good. My moms laptop is on 1600 x 1200 and I can see that too. My eyes must be really good!

Just get a cheap 128MB one. For my old PC, I got a eVGA Geforce MX4000 128MB PCI graphics board for $10! It works great for the games that I play such as PristonTale and Guildwars. Its a great imporvment over integrated graphics.-Gotenx/Mr. Bradeli

I have to say Win2k is the most stable. I have had too many problems with XP. The classic theme overheats my CPU for no apparent reason, and takes up all of my ram. I had to switch to 2k because of that becasue I hate the XP normal theme and like classic. Plus 2k is FAST!!!

Windows 97 was the wierdest OS that I ever saw. I don't even know if it really existed or not. I have a vaque memory of my moms old laptop running it at her job, but so far i have been unable to find any informatino on it.P.S. - Windows ME SUCKS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!-GotenX/Mrbradeli

I've been borrowing my frinds PSP and it seems to have graphics that you would see in a cell shaded game such as DBZ Budokai 3 or a full 3D game such as FFIX. Right now it is one of the strongest systems around (even stronger than most consoles) and there are better batteries coming out for it so it will last longer that 2 hours. I would recomend the DS though because the PSP will get boring after a while becasue of the non-original ideas. The DS has games that are actually chalenging and very imaginitive.

I'm getting ready to build a new PC soon and I need to know if I can use my DDR266/PC2100 DIMM 256MB ram modules on a Gigabyte K8U ULi Socket 754 ATX Motherboard with a AMD Athlon 64 3000+ CPU. I can't buy any new ram because of the small budget I have (I have a small allowance each week) so if it's not compatible can you please point me in the direction of a mobo that has socket 754 and can run my ram? I really wish I knew this before i got everysingle one of my files on my windows partition unaccesable and my Linux Partition deleted. After that i couldn't even reinstall any of the OS's because LInux destroyed my HARDRIVE!!! ARGH!!!

Microsoft antispyware is probably the best becasue of its realtime proection and the fact that it detects and removes more than Adaware and Spybot... Spybot wuz the best like 2 years ago and Ad Aware doen't have many features like real time protection...

Shareaza, Limewire and eXeem are probably are probably the best one you could find around these days... mabey in the future there will be a better one with no spyware at all. Kazaa seems to be pretty good if you could get rid of all the spyware but for the best speeds you should get Limewire Pro. I always get 50kBps- 500kBps 0_o

Avg is free and pretty fast. I have norton but the scans took the whole entier day on my 500gig hard drive. It was getting pretty annoying when i was playing games and the scheduled scan just randomly came on 3 hours erly. Then auto prtect stoped working and they wouldnt let me renew my subscription. I tried PC-cillin but it never worked with my PC...

Dont ask why but I use a spyware loaded, fake speed telling download manager called Kontiki. It is the worst one that you could ever imagine and crashes so much. FTP downloads never work and it makes fast servers seem slow and its click catching is HORRIBLE!!!

I use one called core ftp. very small and lite. it works perfectly. its free and it has all the features of the other ones. Ive never had a problem with it. There is only one improvment that they could've made and that is the select all button. it never works

I use a spyware infested Windows XP home edition with no mew security patches and I also use Mandrake 9.1 and it doesn't run any software... It's so sad...

Trap17 is the eisiest host that i've ever used. The last I had with Cpanel and stuff wuz dead every day and I couldn't do anything. There FTP was crazy too.
