Css Alignment Bug Moves my page when I click on a link
BuffaloHelp replied to darran's topic in Programming
I thought aligning center is just margin: 0 auto;this centers from left and right. And to center top and bottom try placing padding instead of margin. -

A Way To Get More Space And Bw by credits
BuffaloHelp replied to khalilo's topic in Web Hosting Support
The credit system was designed to use it as "bartering" method to start a free web hosting, no ads by Xisto. Logically, if you have time and energy to save such amount of hosting credits to barter for extra bandwidth or space you are better off going with Xisto - Web Hosting's paid plan. For $3.33 per month you can have 2.1GB space with 33.3GB bandwidth. How much does it cost to post extra 180 credits? Perhaps more than $3.33 per month... :)Xisto isn't pushing members to become paid customers. However, it is sensible to start with $3.33 plan. Although a suggestion was good at this time the answer is no.However, don't despair. Getting a free domain name for exchange with hosting credits were suggested by many members and now we have that service. -
My Hosting Credits Were Lowered [resolved]

If you want to pick a part what is and isn't mentioned in our forum rules... perhaps you are not really understanding the vocabulary.PLAGIARISM covers it all.Refer to TOS and AUP section 8 and 22.In case you are wondering, unless an article specifically states, "free to distribute without prior consent" it is all copyrighted and need permission. That's why we have QUOTE tag. And even with QUOTE tag copying should be limited to few paragraphs. It is your responsibility to know and understand our forum rules. Please refer to Xisto Readme, found in my signature or on top of the shoutbox. -
Add-on for your account was, and has been, enabled. Notice the second part of the message: have you pointed your desired domain to ns1 and ns2.trap17.com? This is your first step. Then, use add-on to add another domain to your hosting. If you change nameserver to Xisto, take note that it may take up to 72 hours before you can Add-On to your account. It happens with some registrars and where you are located.

Any Recommendations On A Cooling System For A Laptop
BuffaloHelp replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Software
Just to update on the performance of Targus Chillhub. It was a flop! In the beginning it was all quite dandy. However, prolong usage proved that the effectiveness quickly dwindled as my sister's laptop began to run hotter.Just to be on the fair side, her laptop is still Compaq Presario with AMD 64bit chip that came out about 2 years ago. She is a school teacher and hardly ever use her laptop beyond 2~3 hours at a time. This one weekend she decided to do her shopping over the internet and used about 4 hours. Bam! Her laptop came to the familiar halt when she opened three internet browsers... we were so disappointed as you can see. This Compaq laptop had so many bad reviews to begin. So perhaps it wasn't Targus Chillhub's fault at all. But we did additional 6 hours of computer operation with just the normal $9.99 clip on house fan and we had no further freezing of computer operation. That tells me that Compaq design for cooling this laptop was/is very poor (I want to say even worse word but I'll hold) and any laptop coolers powered by USB isn't adequate enough to cool her laptop. USB's maximum voltage output is 5V with the tolerance of +-3%. This means, two or more fans for any laptop cooler are running 5V fans. Cheaper coolers may run two 2.5V fans. When was the last time you saw an effective fan doing anything with 5V? Even a decent computer case fan requires 7v or more. This raises the question, can a USB powered cooler be any good at all? -
Humm... perplexing... My next question is do you see NetWare installed under network connection? To check open Local area Connection PropertiesStart > Control Panel > Network Connections > right click on your connection > PropertiesUnder the General Tab, if you see NetWare installed and the box checked, simply click and select the service and click Uninstall.Let us know how it goes.

Home security and home safety have been the most highly addressed question but also the lastly addressed question. The majority of homeowners are quick to decide which house to purchase, which BBQ equipment or the latest entertainment set but never consider which security system should be installed, or matter of fact even consider a security system for the home at all. Home security should be any homeowner's first priority. You can be in your home, thinking that you're safe, but the chance of a burglar breaking in an empty home verses occupied home is the same! So what leverage do you have to deter burglars? Here are just some of "excuses" for not having any alarm system: Too expensive Too complicated Don't have the time to install Most alarm systems come in Do-It-Yourself kit. Although they are inexpensive and quick to start, how reliable is this kit? When you have a professional security system installer come and install the system for you there's no worry how effective and reliable alarm monitor would be. They are guaranteed. Professional installers are trained to install the best alarm systems therefore, they will do the professional job. And there's no need to question the complexity of your alarm equipment because the professional installer will handle any complex system. Most of installation are finished within just few hours. And since it is installed at your own convenient available time, there's no time wasted or waiting to do it on your weekend. So why are alarm systems give home security and safety? All highly rated alarm systems are monitored by central station that constantly receives reports by installed security system from each and every home. And since it's a centralized monitoring system they are also connected to your local emergency respond services, such as fire, police, ambulance and sometimes life line for medical alert customers. Even your home might be vacant during your vacation the alarm system constantly reports back to the central station--it's like having invisible eyes that watch over your house even when you're not there. Three biggest disasters for vacationers are: fire, break-in and flood. Many homeowners report that their homes were either caught on fire, windows smashed and burglarized or water over-flow that caused flooding on any level of the home. These and other unforeseen disasters can be prevented if they were connected to a centralized station that kept monitoring these homes. At the first sign of smoke, breaking of glass or sump-pump or washer water line breakage, an alarm monitoring system could have sent an emergency signal to the central station. Then the central station would immediately notify your local emergency respond services to take the next appropriate action. Installing reliable home security system benefits you and your home. Here are some of tips to home security and safety while you are away: turn off water valve to washing machine & gas line to dryer if applicable install sump-pump backup system (or have central station monitoring system installed for extra protection) notify your neighbors that you will be away--request for unchecked mail pickup* or keep an eye on your place *you can request your post office to temporarily hold your mail for duration of vacationing unplug all unnecessary electrical devices for they could cause electrical fire when unattended install timer to a lamp to simulate someone is present in the house at night install timer to a radio to simulate someone is present in the house Or, if you have central monitoring alarm system installed you can just call the mail service to be on hold and arm your security system. As the choice is clear that having central monitoring alarm system is A-B-C of home security and safety. To have your home security and safety monitored by a company that's trusted by over 7 million homes in the United States and over 6 million homes in Canada you can visit http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

Any essay written should not be published here unless it is accommodated by QUOTE tags. Going beyond of "double dipping" on credits by copying and pasting (from your Word or other), if you publish here and then submitted to your school (to avoid double dipping on credits) you may be accused of plagiarizing by your school, teacher. Why? Because you made your post here first. Some schools may look at it as a trivial matter, but any serious education institute should exercise the positive ethical manner by warning the student of disadvantage of plagiarizing. Having a strong, good moral stand at a young age will get you far and success in later life.

I Didn't Know Only English Sites Were Accepted
BuffaloHelp replied to Matoking1405241541's topic in Web Hosting Support
Your websites are to be made in English language so that gamma server technicians can know you are not breaking any AUP or TOS by posting illegal contents and such. <-- if that made any sense B)If you would like to make your website other than in English, you MUST provide 100% correct translation of that site. Furthermore, if you hinder any technician by providing a fake English site but any different content in other language(s) you are to be terminated of your hosting service and banned form Xisto site altogether. It is also strongly advised that your index (greeting or portal page) to be in full English and then lead to your native (preferred choice) language so that there isn't any confusion by server technicians.Thank you. -
Sorry about the Wikipedia... still working on it. Testing IMGALIGN Usage: [imgimgalign=right]image url[/imgalign][imgalign=left]image url[/imgalign][imgalign=right]http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ can format your post with more control and feel of professional publishing. By selecting RIGHT option, you can display an image to the right of the paragraph while the text automatically wrapping around the image with set appropriate margin. Options RIGHT and LEFT are available. If the text wrapping around is short you may use BR bbcode to start the new line. This, I hope, brings easier formatting of your posts that includes illustrations. [imgimgalign=left]http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ is to illustrate the LEFT alignment of your picture and using BR bbcode to show a break in line. This is the next line formed after using BR bbcode.[/br]When in doubt, you can choose to PREVIEW POST before submitting your post. BR should be used to enclose the whole line, for example, the BR code started at the beginning of the second line and closed at the beginning of the third line of this paragraph. [/br]See below for CODE: [imgalign=left]http://forums.xisto.com/uploads/1166611854/gallery_6042_7_2570.jpg is to illustrate the LEFT alignment of your picture and using BR bbcode to show a break in line.[br]This is the next line formed after using BR bbcode.[/br]When in doubt, you can choose to PREVIEW POST before submitting your post.[br]BR should be used to enclose the whole line, for example, the BR code started at the beginning of the second line and closed at the beginning of the third line of this paragraph. Any Recommendations On A Cooling System For A Laptop
BuffaloHelp replied to Saint_Michael's topic in Software
My sister's laptop was overheating as well. Last week, Office Depot had some great Memorial Day sales and I took the advantage of purchasing Targus Chillhub (retail $54.99) at a whopping $9.99. What a deal, what a steal!Powered by USB with additional 4 USB ports built-in to the cooler pan, two silent fans directly centered two cooling fans seem to be doing the job. My sister's laptop has not frozen in past 3 hours of constant usage. In fact I am making this post using her laptop. Chillhub does not cool the laptop significantly. But by circulating the hot air formed underneath the laptop, it's at least making my sister's laptop free from sudden freezing. The drawback to Chillhub's design is that it's not wide enough for 15.4" laptop design. It seems like it was designed for traditional 15" laptops in the past--which my mother's ultra thin laptop fits perfectly.Other designs were considered, such as Antec, APC and Kensington. But my skepticism superseded any effective functionality and the price won me over my decision. According to my sister, it is better effective to place an ordinary house fan across the laptop--which cools even further and faster than any laptop cooler. That's my sister; always practical. -
Oh I don't know... once you know the basics of how to solve Sudoku, it's not that hard--it just takes time and patience. We're all familiar with Minesweeper? Well, Sudoku works on the same principle; eliminate and logically predict the possibilities. I was recently given a newspaper clipping with three levels of Sudoku when I visited Toronto. This one version was called "Killer" Sudoku. This Sudoku did not give any starting numbers--there weren't any numbers at all! Except, this Sudoku presented hints of what two or more adjacent squares' total sum. I have never seen such puzzle and I was immediately hooked.

By default, IP.Board v2.x and above has RSS feed generated automatically. It's located at the bottom of every page. GFXTrap.com is receiving RSS feed from Graphics forum since the beginning. ACP allows RSS topics to be isolated to any forum(s) of choosing. So the location and RSS generating aren't the issue.I am in the process of making xml to sort by title. If this works the second implement would be to sort by relevant keywords and list under said categories. Anything that does not fit to keywords or category will be listed under MISC category. If topics that are miscategorized all we have to do is edit the topic title. Then the title short will take care the rest.Since it would be written in PHP, I'll be hosting it with gamma server (not the forum server) and iframe to the post or the forum description area.
