Help - Setting Up Email I does not work
BuffaloHelp replied to levimage's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I'm going to paste Xisto's post by OpaQue one how to set your Outlook Express with Xisto SMTP and POP server. http://forums.xisto.com/topic/29059-topic/ Another possible issue is probably related to MTU value set with DSL. DSL's maximum MTU should be set to 1492. But the default on any router is at 1500. This conflicts with DSL's ability to send email using Outlook Express. This is speaking from a personal experience. If you cannot modify the MTU value, you can edit your registry by entering max MTU value. Search the web and there will be an easy direction as to how to modify and set your max MTU for your operating system. -
You can purchase hosting credits. But since the upgrade to Credit Systems v2, the purchasing page is lost.I'll let you know the correct URL. But in the mean time, contact Xisto - Support [dot] com and submit a general question.PS, this topic is moving from FrontPage to Hosting Members. Change Your Domain/subdomain (question)
BuffaloHelp replied to gisellebebegirl's topic in Web Hosting Support
gisellebebegirl,If you can access your domain name controller (that is, ask the support team of domain name you purchased) and change "Name Servers" to:ns1.trap17.comns2.trap17.comYour setting for your domain name, currently, is pointing to elsewhere than Xisto. Once you make your correction give up to 72 hours to fully resolve. Your domain name should work perfectly then. -
Yes - you can redirect from Xisto sub-domain to your TLD with a help of your cpanel or custom made index page (very simple).Yes - you can change your sub-domain URL to TLD using Manage Page (https://support.xisto.com/) and select Change Domain Name (requires 15 hosting credits).Avatar - go to your control panel [My Controls] in this forum (at the top of each forum page) > Personal Profiles > Edit Avatar SettingsDon't be hesitant to ask questions--only dumb question is one that's not asked. But do try to search the forum before making your case. You can edit your post (if your post is the last one remaining) rather than posting a follow-up. When you Park your purchased domain, both URL will show the same page (i.e. sub-domain/file and domain/file).The only trouble is if you call URL "sub-domain/file.name" from your A HREF markup it will lead to your subdomain. So the best way to make your web page is to always use A HREF=file.name or A HREF=folder/file.nameThis way, it doesn't matter if you use sub-domain or TLD (Top Level Domain) to point to the same folder or file. The second option is to Add-On domain and redirect from sub-domain to your TLD. You can establish redirect using any redirect service (i.e. .htaccess redirect) or make an index page to automatically redirect. If you have not gained important traffic to your sub-domain site, I would strongly suggest use the Xisto Manage page and change your domain name tied to your Xisto hosting account.

If you are using your own script to update SQL, it can be viewed as injection to Xisto server. This could be the reason why you may be placed under ban filter.AUP states that you will not be notified for any violation since it is up to you to know how to operate under the safe guidance of hosting TOS. So no, no notification. If you believe you are under Xisto's ban filter, please visit Xisto - Support.com and submit your IP to be checked and lifted from ban list. Register with your email account to keep track of support ticket status.Always include your full account information when requesting support:your forum nameyour cpanel nameyour server: gammayour email addresstype of issue, in detail, you are facingyour exact IP address connecting fromThank you.

I haven't programmed in C++ in years, but the above program doesn't look complete. Are you sure the above code produces all prime numbers?I would imagine you have to double check to see if the number selected between the range is TRUE prime. The best example I can think of is to start dividing a number and work its way down to see the remainder is a whole number. If there are multiple remainders that result in whole numbers, it's not prime.Such that,X = a number between 1 and 999temp = X//start loop//set COUNTER = 0//set REMAINER = 0//set temp = 0while temp is NOT equal to 0REMAINDER = X / tempIF REMAINDER is a whole number, COUNTER = COUNTER + 1IF COUNTER is grater than 2, then it's NOT PRIMEELSE IF COUNTER is equal to 2, then IS PRIME save X to ARRAYELSE temp = temp - 1//exit loopX = X + 1 and X is not grater than 999//go back to loop for checking PRIMEOooohhh... my fuzzy logic looks alright but I'm sure someone will find a flaw in it. Until then you get my point of view. Basically you are picking a number between 1 and 999. Start dividing a chosen number by numbers preceding to the chosen number. If a chosen number is divisible by other numbers (more than twice, itself and 1 which is kept at record by COUNTER) than it is NOT a prime number. And keep on going until X is equal to 999.

Help With Reactivating Suspended Account

PlugComputers,Your account has been revived. I will notify OpaQue with your account's status.Thank you. -
The key word here is "free hosting to any member" suggesting that any member who registers with Xisto forum receives 17mbs of free hosting automatically. Playing on the name Xisto with 17mb of hosting is clever. OpaQue always stresses that the quality is paramount than quantity. And I am concerned that sharing web server resources to anyone registering with the forum contrasting to members who are serious about Xisto forum is not fair to hosting members. The second is how to limit the abuse and regulation to free web hostings. The biggest downfall of any free web hosting is spammers dragging the reputation down. This is one of reasons why Qupis went from automated instant free web hosting script to manually activated hosting service. It takes just one spammer to use one small free web hosting to do some heavy damage--by sending tens of thousands of spam emails in matter of minutes with just small script using some small web script. It's nice idea for now but it's going to be hard to regulate so that serious hosting members are not inconvenienced.
