  1. Erm well thats cool - but what is "view" menu exactly?Edit:Oooh i see - thats cool :Pgreat tut - shall try out
  2. Audacity is great editing software - and the codecs are free which are used for it - but you need to get that separately.Personally however, Adobe soundbooth CS3 works the treat for me, and it has better effects than audacity - but i should see why since adobe needs licenses
  3. I cannot log in to my account! I have requested my username and password via the thingy - and i have copyed the details! And it still says my email address is invalid!
  4. I couldn't care less if there was a Bill Gates edition - theres Linux, and im happy with that
  5. Arent they those "Cheweee" bars from Aldi -- Oooo, very interesting! That dog and the head one, there was a man that did it with a chicken, but the other half - all he had to do was clean the neck area every hour or so, sew up the veins and arteries that joined up to the head and the chicken body lived for 18 months! Heard it off the radio about 5 years ago - i still remember it - heres an article about it http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mike_the_Headless_Chicken
  6. Yeah true... I just like going over the top on numbers (: -- Good tutorial though
  7. Actually you have a point there - i did have firefox at the time, and it was my main browser. I shall reinstall it on my desktop (fresh hdd) to see if its any better. But since i have been converted to linux there is no need really to use Opera - maybe theres an Opera for ubuntu but i'd rather stick to Firefox (: @pasten Yeah you are right too My parents use IE and i moan at them all the time lol - they do their banking on it and i was going through the security-lacking Internet Explorer has, eventually they gave in and my dad now uses firefox But yeah, every body i guess uses IE - Maybe when people realise that there are much better browsers out there, then maybe microsoft will consider a redesign (:
  8. After past experiences, never using opera again - but its ok if your the average person who uses the internet for accounting and playing flash games. With me, it had to much graphics on there, and my computer is slow anyway - so it didn't really have a nice match with eachother
  9. It uses the IE6 framework for the browsing - so what ever security vulnerabilities IE6 has, this will too. Also yeah, it renders slowly, poorly and any other "ly" word --Learn C++ and Gecko rendering! Then you could make one as good as firefox :DThat is... If you had a team of 50
  10. Not all of the Powershots are any good - my mum has a Powershot A560 and even though its a 7 megapixel camera - its shutter speed is only 1/150, which is incredably slow, so you will need a steady hand. How ever though with experience you can still take nice pictures with crap cameras I attached a copyright since i dont want people to steal it img_047453.jpg

    Escaping Text

So you want to strip clean of the numbers and non-alphanumerical data?Simply use Preg_Replace - which search for numbers and replace it with nothing? If thats what you mean...
  12. Yeah - not possible in PHP (unless you wanna echo it out, but whats the point in that?)
  13. Sorry i didn't see this topic earlier - but Xisto has been down for days on end for me I made an easy cut and paste if you want to use it - it just uses a random number from an Array and outputs it - very simple and little code. <?php // Simply add more onto $text = array( 'hello', 'goodbye', 'morning', 'i like cheese' ); // Count values $vals = count($text); // Set random number $rand = rand(0, $vals - 1); // Echo the text, with a random value echo $text[$rand];?>
  14. If you had a sniper rifle that could fire a bullet endlessly, and you were the best sniper on this planet then i would reckon you could shoot the satellite down :DYou will be undetected, since the satellite would come down and smash to bits anyway!--Other than that, theres no other way you could destroy it in secret?
  15. Wow thanks for that and thankyou anheizhiye
  16. So basically, wireless electricity is pointless overall on the ground - unless you are going into space and you somehow dont have a 5 million metre long cable to watch television, you would probably be using solar!! Wireless electricity is a good idea, but yeah, its not very efficient at all. The only thing they ARE effecient and do their job are telephone chargers and electric toothbrushes Other than those items, (maybe you have novelties that need a quick charge) wireless electricity has no other uses. You're not going to watch telly with an eletric transmitter would you? You (well me personally ) are going to obviously want your 600W subwoofer and surround speakers. And i dont think you will manage to get 700 odd watts flying through the air, before you know it, the air would start ionising! And also i bet that it would take like a kilowatt just to convert the damn current to radio waves. -- Magnetism is the best and most efficient way of transporting currents through the air. (since it is a force, it already exsists)
  17. There is an email in there But going into that email... So was i supposed to receive another email? Edit: Just to note - I did have the credits, but it deducted me for the transaction - just like the other hosting i applied for about a month ago
  18. Sorry if this is in the wrong category, but i could not find one relavent Hi, just a question about the progress of my hosting?I ordered a "Linux Regular Hosting - Logic Plan - $1.95 / mo. - FREE SETUP!" package with 5 gig of space and 50 gig of bandwidth, but this was on the 19th. Its now the 26th (nearly 27th ) and its STILL pending. However though, my cPanel username and password was set up. But i cannot access cPanel...
  19. People have never heard of Pidgin?! It comes with Ubuntu 8.10 (well the one i downloaded ) - and i believe it also comes with fedora (not sure)Pidgin is the most low resource instant messenger client i think that is out there, and it is more favourable than MSN In my opinion anyways :DAnd the great thing about it is that you can sign into about 10 or 15 different providers, plus you can have your own custom instant messaging provider. Rather simple in fact, just enter the server name, port and the configurations.Oh yeah and Pidgin works *not as good* on windows than on linux, but it is still very decent.
  20. Microsoft arent like that - since Antivirus programs are pretty much DESIGNED for windows.Microsoft are trillionaires, i think they should invest big time in a new architecture. That would make them more popular and more defendable to viruses. X86 has been going on for donkeys years, and hackers and viruses have found every way inside of it possible.
  21. Well, when these things happen with PSPs, sony didn't even bother asking me how it got bricked - even though i had to admit that i didn't do ANYTHING, but they are really crap at checking support - ie, they didn't even ask me how long i had had it, and my psp was actually out of warranty. But they still replaced it!I don't know whether the support lady was just being kind, or that they are bad at support - even though they have good support if you get what i mean --A broken iPod touch is basically the same as a bricked PSP - the only way to fix it is to reinstall the operating system (ie, iPod...). Since all the files are corrupted and it would fail to start.Just say to apple, that you just turned it off and it won't come back on again - thats what i did to sony and it worked!
  22. I would prefer CoD4 for PS3 - not that it runs better, not that it displays the graphics better (since theyre exactly the same pretty much) but that on xbox 360 Activision is constantly patching the glitches, which ruins the fun!If you want to glitch on the xbox 360 then do the old game update remover! It worked with rainbow six vegas 2 - but that was before they released that 360 update.--PS3 and Xbox 360 are nearly enough the same, the only downside to PC is that you can't even go into prestige
