Up Centering Tables And Image Mouse Over Effect
fffanatics replied to Florisjuh's topic in Web Hosting Support
ok here are some answers1.) for the table vertical alignment of its parts : There are a few ways, the easiest if you want all of your tables to have a top vertical alignment, just add this at the top of your page or in an external CSS page.<style type="text/css"><!--table {vertical-alignment : top;}-->or you can just put <td valign="top"> in the cells you want vertically aligned2.) you just have to use onmouseover and onmouseout. example: <img src="./images/transparent.gif" width="16" height="16" name="ff10">then all you would do is on the link after the image or put it around the image<a onmouseover="window.document.ff10.src='./images/handIcon.gif'" onmouseout="window.document.ff10.src='./images/transparent.gif'" href="">where ff10 is the name used in the image and the new images are located at the locations specifiedGood luck -
I think it needs work. For one, the music took forever to load (and i have a cable connection) and it was annoying. You should atleast have a player to stop or start it so that if you dont want to hear it, you can stop it. Secondly, a good site should not have a specified size needed for it to look good. So you should try to make it look fine no matter the window size.Thirdly, your link for making it a homepage should have a different title because its confusing. So overall, your design just needs some work. Your content is pretty good though so u have that goin for you.

wow, this is becoming a repetitive topics. Its posted again and again like every week. Well, once again i will say, it like both. They both have benefits and problems. IE, for example, probably is more compatible with website because of its popularity. Firefox, is amazing when makin a website because of the DOM editor and javascript debugger. So like i said, i like both but which one i use just depends on what i am going to go do.

How Much Space Does Google Have On Their Servers?
fffanatics replied to tariqrf's topic in The Internet
Yeah Google probably doesnt actually have 2 gig per person but i would guess that they use a compresion algorithm to cut down on the size needed. I know that numerous algorithms outhere (yes ones better than winzip) can shrink data to extremely small sizes. All google would have to do then is shrink everyones mail, and when they log in, unshrink it onto a temp holding space until they time out. -
Yeha the best customized windows is your own. The minute you start using someone elses cracked version you are setting yourself up for trouble. Since you didnt crack its yourself, you do not know what security issues are now open and how vulnerable you are as the users. Best to stay away and just learn to do it yourself

Best System For Site Statistics?
fffanatics replied to gotcha41's topic in Websites and Web Designing
I use extreme tracking cause like you said its free and doesnt require much of you as its user because of just a small image on your page. The only thing i did not like is it counts the same ip address more than once for a unique visitor if it is at more than one time per day so its results can be a tad bit swayed. -
Well, it isnt really a question of survival. If you have noticed, each of those OS have a different support base that need to be able to handle certain tasks. Mac is ment for video and image editing because of the architecture of the system itself. Windows, is meant for the everyday computer idiot who needs a very user friendly system and linux is for more of an expert. In the end, there probably still will be 3 OS but their purposes and user base maybe will be more subjected.

Longhorn's Avalon Under Windows Xp Is that true??
fffanatics replied to adriantc's topic in Software
Yeah Avalon will make the desktop look pretty nice. I believe it will look something like StarDocks DesktopX which creates moving objects on the desktop. The only problem with Avalon is it will be like flash and prob. will be created to be used on the web also so in effect it will compete with Adobe's newly acquired software. How this will turn out, who know. -
Hey I use nortons and have never had a problem. It stops numerous intrusions even on my school's network and is ever changing and correcting its own problems. Great firewall to just setup and leave it be because it will fix itself and update itself if there is a problem

Yeah i would have to recommend CS over Elements....Yes if you want to save money and arent going to use it for too much, stick with elements but if u are serious about image editing/creation, you have to go with CS. It just has sooo much to offer that one day you might actually use.

Possible New Design. comments please
fffanatics replied to dontmaimyourself's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeah nice simple layout that makes it easy to navigate. Just like the other person stated, i wouldnt center my text cause it just makes it harder to read. However, unlike the other poster, i think you should have used tables to center your layout instead of CSS because there still are people out there who cant use CSS in their browsers so its just better practice to support the most browers as possible. -
What Do You All Think Is Better? Internet browsers
fffanatics replied to sunster13's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Yeha i like IE still...havent switched over to firefox. To me, i have enough other software to protect me from spyware and popups so i do not need that included in my browser. However, Firefox does have its advantages. For one, the javascript debuger and DOM manager makes it easy to fix mistakes in your code. So, depending on what you are doin really should depend on what browser you use. -

Fave Type Of Music? Rap, rock, pop, country...?
fffanatics replied to sonyguy's topic in Art & Creativity
For me its rock. Ive never really cared for rap because of the language factor. Every other line there is a curse word and ive never cared to listen to that. Yes, rock can have the language too but it appears that most bands do not include it tooooo much. Also, i just like how there are so many types of rock music. You can find relaxing rock, exciting rock, and so forth. THere is something for every mood -
Will You Buy An Xbox 2 (360) Or Ps3 On The Day They Come Out?
fffanatics replied to truman69's topic in Computer Gaming
When those come out, i plan on purchasing a PS3. So far all playstations have yet to let me down. From this, i project that these 3gen systems will be around for 3 - 5 years like all other systems have been -
Adobe To Purchase Macromedia. Wow! For 3.4 Billion (appox.)
fffanatics replied to solankyno1's topic in Software
Big deal but i wonder whats going to happen....I mean all of macromedia's software was a one and done deal. Their software had one purpose of which it did very well. However, Adobe normally links their software. For example, if you are making a DVD, you would need Encore, AfterEffects, etc. I just wonder if this is going to happen to Macromedia -
The Realease Of Ff12 if you wnat to talk about it just come on in
fffanatics replied to Megaman's topic in Computer Gaming
Yeah FFX12 will be released this summer which is good news. However, it had previously been set to be released in the late winter or early spring timeline before the summer release date. SquareEnix did their normal 3 - 6 mon delay on their feature games which is a new trend for them. So next time you see a release date from them, just at 3 months and you will be right on time -
Definitely GMAIL. I never have liked hotmail. just not for me i guess. WIth all the space gmail provides and all who would refuse. Plus with its search features, it rocks

Yeah ive owned Dells, Gateway, and Compaq. Like you said the compaq performed ok but was totally unable to upgrade whcih is why i didnt ever buy them again. Secondly, my gateway ran great. It had an amazing ability to upgrade and never gave me any performance issues. It was a good system but i must include it was an old server which I upgraded to a desktop. Finally, my latest computers have been dell b/c they are affordable, upgradable, and never have given me issues. No hardware conflicts, drivers are easily accessible and there support system is great if you run into any problems. Overall, I rank the one ive owned in this order: Dell, Gateway and last Compaq.

Yeah Paint Shop Pro is no where near as good as Photoshop CS. Photoshop is amazing for anything from editiing photographs or making web images.

Final Fantasy Tactics the best race to have
fffanatics replied to toilet95's topic in Computer Gaming
Are you talking about tactics? or tactics Advanced? To be honest, it really doesnt matter which classes. I used in both of the games a variety of them so i experienced it all. That is my recommendation but besides taht it just is personal preference.
