The site looks nice, but there are some things I think you should change.First of all, switch to Joomla. It's just like Mambo, but it's free and will remain free, while Mambo will become... expensive The other thing is that you remove the ADMINISTRATOR button from the menu. You can always access the admin panel from http://ww1.youwebsite.com/ think about putting a header image

I probably wouldn't be able to live if a had restricted computer access :huh:But think of it this way. If computers were never invented, then you probably wouldn't miss it, right? That might be good, we would spend more time doing something that can't spoil our eyesight or make geeks out of us

Man Dies From Playing World Of Warcraft Gaming? Harmful?
pyost replied to half1405241509's topic in Science and Technology
Believe it... There was before a case like this one. Also in Korea. I am not sure what exactly happened, but here's the story. This man, he was in a playhouse playing Starcraft. I guess he ate and drank something, but he didn't sleep. He played it for about 48 hours without stopping, and then he died when he went to the bathroom. And this IS confirmed. People die because of video games all the time. In America, to teenagers went to a highway and shot at people's cars with a shotgun. And they picked it up from GTA III. Crazy folks.... -
I'm so sorry, I didn't notice this was in the MMORPG forum... I haven't played much of those, only a few, but the most addictive one is Dark Throne (web based mmorpg) and then after that Guild Wars. And that's all I've played
-
A game doesn't have to be good to be addictive, it just needs to be playable. I guess I'm most addicted to Counter-Strike The game really isn't as good as some others, but what makes it addictive is the possibility to play with players all around the world. Before I got a faster internet connection, I used to play CS in a local playhouse, on and on with the same people, at least 10 hours a week. And I didn't get bored. Later I didn't have that much time so I stopped, but now the old flames have burst once again Very addictive...

Um... I'm the starter of the topic, and I was giving the information about the monitor to Sarah81: Well, never mind, guess the short info is ok enough

Newest Site...need Review Plz (designing Aspects)
pyost replied to ebbinger_413's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Not bad... The banner is good, but the colors get you down a bit, you know what I mean? Maybe if you added some more different colors - at least shades of grey - it would be a bit nicer. Also, the menu, even though it works really fine, looks a bit old, with the sharp edges and nothing but lines. I think you should stylize it to be more modern. The last thing I don't like is the Go! button. It doesn't fit into your overall website desing. Think about these points. -
Hm... My post was deleted... I guess it was too long... Here's a shorter version of it. The screen is 17", it has 8 ms response time, good specs and costa about 250$, maybe it can be a bit more. All in all, I am very satisfed with it's specs and possibilities. End of story.

I have been using Asus ATI Radeon 9600XT for a year now. I bought it during the winter holidays, oaround new year's eve 2005. At first it was very good, I could play all the games on appropriate resolutions, and now I have to cut on details and/or the resolution. But the fact that I don't play games as much as I used to must be considered!Concerning the graphic card itself, it is very good if you want a cheap AGP card. On the other hand, if you want something better and/or pci-e, then buy a newew gforce card. Ati hasn't got good cards now, but the 1*** series will fix that (I hope). I've always prefered ati over gforce and that's why I bought this graphic card. And I ain't regreting it! All the games are playable, it's not like you have 2 frames per second It's really good actually!

Since it is my birthdya today, I was anxiously expecting to get the present (yeah I know... a real baby ). And what did I get? A Samsung 740N TFT monitor!!!!! It's a bit unusual for me, since I've had CRT monitors for 10 years, so I'm not used to the beauty of TFT Anyway, just wanted to brag a bit and also hear your opinions about that model. It ain't the best, but it works for me!

Which Is The Best Gaming Graphics Card? Which one?
pyost replied to webdesignunlimited's topic in Hardware Workshop
It's obvious that he was talking about pci-e, duh!If I were you, I would take the ATI card. I prefer ATI, because NVidia is like Microsoft - owning a big part of the market, but not so good. Sure, their graphic cards are good, but the new ati cards will destroy nvidia. Also, I think that 512 MB is waaaaaaaaaaay unneccesary. A year ago, 128 MB was a standard and 256 MB weren't even 50% better than the 128MB ones. ow it's the same situation with 512 MB - you don't get any better performances. On the other hand, the 128 MB NVidia card is quite good, but in my opinion, it's better to buy ATI nowadays... But don't listen only to me, I'm sure other people don't agree -

Is It Me Or Something Is Wrong.. Trap17.net Vs....
pyost replied to xboxrulz1405241485's topic in Web Hosting Support
Think of it this way. You need free hosting for your web site. And you need a lot of space. You can register here and have 150 MB with no ads, or you can go somewhere else and have 333 MB with ads. Now, I have always been annoyed by ads and I got here from a hosting with ads. I don't need so much space, so I really like Xisto.Back to the 333 MBs. People actually don't need that much space. They register, have ads, and use only about 100 MB. If they really DO need that much space, they will probably pay for their hosting - nad have no ads. And ask yourself - do you need that much space? If the anser is no, then Xisto is better. However, if the answer is yes, then you should save some money and pay for hosting!Hope this post hasn't been boring and confusing -
How Did You Choose Your Gaming Mouse Sensitivity How did you choose yours?
pyost replied to Solus's topic in Computer Gaming
Let's put it this way: I need to move my mose 5 cm (or 2") to move over the screen, over 1024 pixels. But in games, I need it to be a bit more sensitive. Fr example, in Counter-Strike I use 4 sensitivity. In other games I usually don't change the sensitivity, since it is quite ok for me. -
I played CS a lot, but then I stopped because I didn't have the time to play it and didn't have it. Now I've got it... The old passios has awoken! I have played is 6 hours today

Image Shack Image Hosting - http://www.imageshack.us
pyost replied to saxsux's topic in General Discussion
It is good, but I prefer photobucket. When I first needed something like that I look at both of them, and I found photobucket a bit more easier. As for imageshack.us, I have just tried to open it and it displayed an Internal Server Error Shame on them... -
I started to use instant messengers about 3 years ago. It was MSN that made me do it. I had it on my computer, but never used it, so I wanted to give it a try. And it turned out pretty well. Then, when Google Talk appeared, I downloaded it, but I didn't use it much until now, because I didn't have anyone to talk. Now I use it pretty often. The latest IM I started using is ICQ. I had to get some job done by ICQ, so I had to register and download it. I have tried it before, but I didn't fancy it too much. Even now I don't!So - 3 instant messengers:1. MSN Messenger - because of it's possibilities2. Google Talk - the opposite - because of the simplicity3. ICQ - because I have to

Www.rapidshare.de a good place to place your files
pyost replied to smyke's topic in General Discussion
I don't know if you've heard, but there is a rather new website where people put rapidshare links. It is constantly updated, so you get i pretty big database! Check it out at /legacy It still has only a part of what rapidshare is hosting, but some stuff can be found there. Be aware that most of this is pirated stuff. If this is against the rules, moderators, please delete this post. -
I Need Y`all Honest Opinions On This!
pyost replied to LikMeBalleFM's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Yep, I agree. The second is really much better. But there are still some things that could be improved. The floor and the wall (it rhymes ) look great, but the wheels are perfect, yet. As someone said, you should really improve the tires: they should definitly be thicker and have a pattern on them. And another thing I don't like are the rims. They are just to perfect, and maybe a little bit to think. They do look fragile, don't you agree? So, improve the tires, put some more solid rims, and make them a bit scratched (to be more real) and it will be perfect!Stupid missing edit button Now I saw the tires with the pattern, it's really got, just a bit thicker... -
Ugh... Windows... It may look the best, but the looks may decieve... If I wrote it well  Actually, I have never used anything else but Windows (MS-DOS doens't count), and I have always been satisfied - mostly because I was patient. And because I have a small hard drive Soon, I will get a new one, and probably install Linux on the other partition, just to try it. I'm sure I'll love it! I think both Linux and MacOS are better than Windows, but I must try it first...

But guys, wait! Maybe we misunderstood the question! After all, it is in the software forum... If you were asking for a program to play mp3 music, then WinAmp. And if you were talking about a hardware player, then anything Creative

http://chatwithigod.com/ We are nearing the top of the AI development. This is something amazing! It's a flash thingy that represents chatting with God. As long as you use proper English and make meaningful sentences, the chat program will answer you. I have spent hours chatting with "God" and I can say I am amazed! Go on, give it a try!

Darkthrone yet another text-based army game :)
pyost replied to Xacrosancxion's topic in Computer Gaming
And so, what turned out the best? I am also playing Dark Throne, the omega version. I've played it quite often before, but I've chilled since then. Now that the omega is ALMOST done, I'm starting to play it again. The problem with me is that I can't control myself - I just keep on getting experience. So, I get to a high level, but my defense and offense are low. Now I'm trying to hold on, and increase my defense, since I find it more important than offense. When you have defense, you can just sit back and spend the money you get by mining. Whereas when you attack you do get the money, but when someone attacks YOU, you are lost in the sea of faces A great game, nothing more to say...
