  1. [1]I agree whole-heartedly.

[2]Refer to number 1. But seriously, there are some monotone sigs and sigs without tones. I think you should go into all your sig posts and look for ones with high ratings and use those instead.

[3]You mean you see a new sig on Michael's signature on each of his post? Even if there are 2 posts on 1 page? But you see the same sig for all my posts on a page? Hmm, the latter seems to be true for Michael and me....weird. Your computer is messed up. Get a new one.

[1] I like this numbering system you have going on here...

    [2] I agree.

[3] Wow, that's REALLY odd...now it's the same one for each post, but I SWEAR it was different ones for each post not too long ago.

  2. Bah! Brushing is not hard at all. As long as you have the right brushes, then you could make any sig background look good. Just "stamp" a couple here and there and play with the color balance a little, and you've got yourself a sweet background.

Now I really wanna do my brushing tutorial, just to prove you wrong. :)

  3. well the thing with tech brushes though, you sort have to do take your time with them that means alot of trial and error to make them look good, you can't slap it on and say this is the best, i would have to say tech brushing is one of the hardest to and the one johnny did not even close, cuz the image is to flat, he had a good start but its need to stand out.

vectoring is next due to it bening able to make it stand out.

and then grunge, abstract, fractal are next due to them being the most easy to brush due to so many combinations to use them with.

Mike, you suck at sounding smart. :) j/k

Nah, I wasn't trying to make anything too great here. These are just examples of the different kinds of tech. You know how I operate. Nothing but the best. ;)

And the reason that they're so hard to use is that they're small. So you have to use more of them to fill up a sig, so it's harder to get them to flow nicely, as opposed to grunge or whatever where you can find some big brushes and fill it up with one or two brushes, if you really want to.

And nah, fractal's are definitely the hardest to use, IMO.

  4. Thanks. :) I first read "I could make it better." Oh man, I was gonna give you a warning or something for flaming, but you didn't flame. Thanks for the comments. ;)

I edited the other one. Brought the render up so that the scanlines are not going over the render, and changed the font a tad. Still can't get the font to blend in though. At least, not as well as Kubi.

    What do you think?

It's an improvement, for sure. And Nguyen, you can't warn someone if they say they could make it better. Everyone's entitled to their opinion.

  5. I can't tell if the background is brushing or filters, but the background looks good.

I don't like how the sig is monotone, though. You can read Brook's tutorial on brushing here instead of doing ctrl+u (I think you did that; I don't know for sure).

I bet if you blend the render in like you did with the font that it'll look better.

He actually didn't use brushing OR filters. It's all images, apparently. :)

I already gave you my thoughts on AIM or MSN or whatever. I tend to forget which is which as Trillian all looks the same.

  6. Thanks for this tutorial!! I'll definitely test it out later in Photoshop... *can't wait* ^___^

I like how you introduced different multicoloring techniques. I used to only apply the cloud rendering effect before, but now I've got more to experiment with! XD

WHEE! Sounds good. Be sure to lemme know (even though I stalk the photoshop forums like 24/7)

Sweet. Remember to post it so that we can make fun look at it. :)

I used the cloud effects on my tekken sig, by the way. If you care. ;)

Make fun? Want me to make fun of your sigs Nguyen? I can give you some cruel truth if you want me to. :D

  7. Mike's sig: Great job, but the text could have a bit lowered opacity to blend better and the color seems to be all on the right side. Great overall though.Phyre's sig: Bad move on the sliced look, and the "cutoff" corners aren't all that great either. Text could be better. Sorry bro...just took a leap of faith and missed the other side.Mike gmv.3-0
