Guess the tough ecomony is hitting them harder. Just called them to get refunded the charges they have been doing on me since May 2006. First they swore they didn't have my zipcode on file, finally got past that and offered to cancel the service. Fed me a line about how they try to be as open and honest with the offer and that I agreed to something that was in a pop up window. They asked me to confirm my yahoo email account to send me an email to cancel. She was getting pissy and wasn't offering to refund anything, until she asked 'is there anything else I can do for you today" so I told her "yeah you can refund me all the money you took from me over the past 2 years", she said "well what I can do is refund you the $10 charged Feb 18th, is there anything else I can do for you today?", so I said "so you're going to refund me 10 to the 200 dollars you stole from me". She came back with "well I can refund you the $10 charged on Jan 18th, so is that all?" And I said "no, how about you refund me all the money you stole since I didn't want this service, never used it, and you can google online for all of 5 seconds to find out what a scam this is". Her only reply (after a short pause) was "well I can email you a form you can fill out to see if you what can be done about the rest of the amount". So they are sending me that, but for now I'll get $20 of the $200 they took, we'll see how the email form goes. But watch out, they seem to be pushing back harder on the refunds these days.

I used to be able to play it on my ancient computer just fine and it was fun. I could afford everything and I felt equal to everyone. I stopped playing for a few years and when I got back on I was completely lost there were like 5 new places on the map, which is fine I guess, but they weren't as creative as the original places. Also it was so new it almost crashed my computer. Finally we got a new computer and I got back on and played for a while but I couldn't afford a thing, anything decent cost literally like 4,000,000 neopoints. Now there are people who are like 7 years younger than me who are more successful than I am because they bought Neopets premium, which is some stupid new thing where they get more money and enhanced features. The rumor is that Neopets is slowly switching all the decent features over to the premium version until eventually it'll be some stupid pay-only site.

Hello there. Dragon slaying is good, fast cash. If you kill green dragons in the chaos tunnel, you can get an easy 50k per trip. At the moment, I'm trying to get more cash for a Dragonfire Shield to match my bandos. Woodcutting is good money, but it's not very fast. Be patient and your money will grow over time. Money making does take a while... And the people you see with about 100m have been playing for a long time. The key is to not spend money. Enjoy your millions! ^^

My ThoughtsPrivate ServersThere's a lot of debate about this subject, I'm rather happy that I was able to post this reply without registering an account, as I wanted to have my say after reading through the entire topic and I'm quite lazy. XD Hosting a private server free game like MapleStory that features a cash shop (basically any korean grind lol) is morally fine in my opinion if the private server doesn't have a cash shop (even if the items are entirely free), even with a donation form on the website as long as it only goes to the costs of maintaining the server/webpage/forum etc. MapleStory is a peculiar case though as most games with cash shops are more focused on items that affect you ingame (Spros, 2x xp scrolls etc) then items that have no ingame value other then what you look like, and to be honest that's all the MS cash shop is basically, hundreds of different clothing at ridiculous pricing for a 2D; often under 100x100px image lol. There are two main reasons people play private MS servers, for one they wan't to get really high levelled really quickly, as they don't have the thousand to several thousand of hours spare to dedicate to grinding and MS takes a VERY long time to reach the max level, I spent a good few hundred hours on the game and never reached the last job advancement. The second reason is that they want to buy the full suit that they were able to preview in the ingame cash shop cause it looks awesome, but they didn't have the cash (often over up to 50USD for a full *custom* suit) to spend on the meaningless thing. So you're potentially losing half of your players if you don't have free cash shop items on a MS private server... Sort of... The only way to combat this would be to create your on ingame items, ones that looked as good as the real CS items, then make them free, if you manage to get a decent amount of players on your server without the real MS CS items I salute you, I've never hosted a server but I had a fair go at editting .Wz files and it's really not that difficult, all you need is a flair for 2D graphic design (but moreso *PIXEL ART!*) and time. Of course this is still infringing on the company's TOS and therefore after agreeing to it if the company is able to link your server to your character you *WILL* be banned whether you're a level 30 or a level 180 so if you do make a MS private server be smart and don't provide any relation between the real and private server. You can also be sued theoretically, but if you only make a pocket change from the donations there's not really much ground for their case (of course without you having a free MS CS items). Also honestly there are thousand of private servers out there many of them better then yours that might have been up for months or a year and a have a reasonable player base for a private server that haven't even been contacted by Nexon. So you really have *ABSOLUTELY NO* chance of them suing you, and they most likely won't even know of it.. Nexon *DID* sue Odin, but they were one of the biggest if not the biggest MS servers to date, it was a move done to scare other of. So to answer your question: "Is it worth it to make a MS Private Server?" I say*NO* as you won't make anything but chump change off it. The only way I'd sayYES would be if you had a coder, and a graphic designer at the very least to modify all the game images and the engine enough so you can't tell it's the MS one. You'd have to have this done before you got on Nexon's radar, so in other words don't get as big as odin until you're games done or damn near it. I didn't realise how long my post got... =/ That's what having an average typing speed of 200wpm does to you lol... Sorry if I repeated myself a lot.. I am no expert, but I do know that Firefox was taking literally about five minutes (!) to load on my XP computer. (No other programs take such an abnormally long time). I added the prefetch switch, and now it takes less than ten seconds. As such, I believe that you may be mistaken in your opinion that it doesn't help.

Checkwith a friend who lives nearby and uses the same P2P find out whohis/her ISP is, and what their opackage is. Check your REALinternational bandwidth with an independent speed test like http://www.speedtest.net/ There are many, many, speed test sites out there, just Google and try.Compare results between them (their ISP may be useless). Some countrieshave independent ISP review sites, so check those out, but be scepticalas they rarely report international bandwidth.If your ISP is sucking you dry, then vote with your foot. It have some problems with speed time to time, but it is not a broblem, and usually when they develop that game.Players there do speak english, but it is not very common, I believe that it is 50/50 that they don't want or don't know english enought to "speek" it to stranger. Getting poinst may feel difficult, but it is part of building your character at game.
