<p>Hello there, I just wanted to use this to rant for a bit because my account that I am 105 combat on, with 99 hunting 91 fishing 87 mage, and several other skills that are decent and took me forever to get has been banned today... I am REALLY pissed of right now. They say I was "macoring" although thats all, no explanation or anything, sure I play about 15-20 hours a day but still that doesn't give them a freaking right to ban me! I'm racing 3 other people to 99 fishing and its summer I have all day to play so hell yeah I'm gonna use that time on runescape. But now I'm gonna lose because those jerks banned me for something I didn't do! I leave my private and public chat off because I need to focus completely on fishing...This is my 2nd week of fishing I started at 72 and am 91 right now, I've caught 44k monkfish do you know how long that took to fish?! I am so mad I told them in my appeal they made a terrible freaking mistake and I agree with the person that goes by the name of "pissed off gamer" I will join him in blowing them the hell up for wasting 3 years of my life and then banning me for no reason. So they better fix my account they can watch me 24/7 for all I care, I do NOT macro! Anyways I feel a bit less mad right now from ranting...DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON RUNESCAPE THEY WILL BAN YOU FOR NO REASON EVEN THOUGH YOU SPEND MONEY ON THEIR CRAP.</p>-reply by Jadendueler

Alienware IssuesAlienWare - Good Or BadMay-2008 I bought an Alienware Area51 Desktop about 14 months ago. It's suffered "hard lockups" since the day it arrived. Basically, your video will freeze, your keyboard and mouse will not work and if you were listening to anything you will hear a rapidly repeated sound. The only way to get the PC working again is to physically power it down by holding in the power button on the front of the case. Initially, the lockups only happened every few days, but the frequency quickly grew. As the frequency grew, the system began to lockup during the BIOS/POST screens or never initialize the video at all. In order to get past this issue, I had to open the case and remove/reseat the graphics card. June-2008 I spent several hours on the phone with Alienware support. The support rep at one point had me insert the recovery CD and choose to reinstall the OS. He did this without warning me my data would be destroyed. I pointed this fact out to him and he "allowed" me time to back up my stuff to an external drive. Heh Eventually, he determined the problem was with the HDD... He charged me a deposit and sent out a replacement. This obviously did not resolve my issue. August-2008 The lockups continued, so I again contacted support. This time, they decided it was the motherboard at fault. They asked me to box up my system and send it to their offices in Miami, FL via FedEx Ground. I pointed out that I had an on-site warranty, but they said that only includes minor parts like HDDs and that my PC's water cooling system needed a specific environment. I relented and made the painful effort to box up and ship the 70lb monster back to them. The entire ship-repair-ship process took 16 days. The issue was still unresolved. October-2008 The lockups continued, so I again contacted support. This time, they decided it was the RAM at fault. "The Elpida RAM in your system isn't compatible with your motherboard". They charged me another deposit and sent me replacement RAM. Again, this obviously did not resolve my issue. November-2008 The lockups continued, so I again contacted support. This time, they decided it was the graphics card at fault. They charged me another deposit and sent me an nVidia GTX 280 to replace my GeForce 9800 GX2 dual GPU card... The GTX 280 was $300 less at the time, but was the best card on the market since the GX2 had been phased out by that time. I had no recourse and was denied a partial refund to cover the difference. The system was stable for about 4 months with the GTX 280, but then the same painful issue began again. The system would lock up hard just booting into Windows. By this time, I just wanted to be able to use my PC. I went to Best Buy and bought a 9800GT. The system was stable, but it wasn't performing very well. June-2009 I finally gave in and contacted support again about my unusable video card. They decided it was a video card issue again and asked me to send the card back so that they could replace it. I shipped the card back to them and they sent me an nVidia GTX295 as a replacement. I installed the card and booted the PC. About 10 seconds into my Windows session, before I had even clicked anything, the PC locked up. I shut it down and opened the case to take the card out and it was so hot it burned my finger. I put the low end card back into the PC and put the GTX 295 back in the static bag and put it in the closet. I didn't care to deal with support again, so I left it at that for then. July-2009 I emailed support this time and included the long list of repairs that have made my PC unusable for 4+ months of the 14 I have owned it. Six more of those months have been with a low-end graphics card. They decided to replace the power supply and to upgrade it from a 750watt to 1000watt size to better support the high power requirements of the dual GPU video card. I had to provide a deposit, but they agreed to send a tech out to do the replacement on-site. Present I'm waiting on delivery of the power supply so that I can schedule the tech to come out. I'm not overly optomistic that this will resolve my on-going issue, but there's nothing left to swap out. Conclusion I will never buy from Alienware again, or advise anyone to do so. It's quite sad that Dell has decided to phase out thier gaming lines in favor of Alienware systems. I will post again with the update once this next repair is completed.

Fahim AnwarSystem Does Not Detect Dvd/cdrom DriveReplying to iGuestFahim I had a similar issue with gateway but they told me my warranty had ran out after the second time I contacted them. Now gateway will not respond to my emails.The first time I contacted gateway I talked with a supposed IT engineer and his response was that he had never heard of this after trying many solutions of his. So as to not be without my computer I went on a mission to find solutions online. I tried removing the upper and lower filters and that worked great until; one of my configuration files was erased from drive C: during a file clean up I had ran. I KNOW I had not moved the file but it was gone I was then stuck without the ability to start Windows at start up. I had to go online and order the disk to reinstall original manufacturer settings because my back up disk would not work. The error message was something like my disk were not for this computer. FUNNY! After reinstalling the disk I received from gateway BIGFIX popped up and said my trial had ended I felt I shouldn't have to pay for software to protect my computer that gateway sponsored. I uninsulated big fix and my DVD/CD drive no longer worked I don not know if coincidental but the actions to my computer in my opinion speak volumes.-reply by Dennis

domain name cloaking/maskingHow Could I Cloak My Page Address?If you use php access checks on your site and then use the free domain names with their cloaking/masking option it will interfere with your security. I had trouble for long time and couldnt work it out untill I turned off the cloaking and voilla my security features came back immediately. I am not sure why this happens I just know it did with several paid and free domain names. I , like so many others, will habe to find another way to mask my url as I do not want the url forwrding address to be visible when this domain name is clicked.

yes, they are sleazyReservation Rewards - A Scam!I had been seeing their charge on my Mastercard for a few months, and when I finally called them they told me I'd signed up for some free trial on petmeds.Com. The thing was, they were charging a credit card I don't even USE--it's been cut up for years so I can pay it off. I do use petmeds, but I have always used a completely different card for my orders. I still do not know how they got my Mastercard number. But the customer service lady insisted that I had given them my email address, etc., essentially calling me a liar. Nice "customer service", assuming I was one of their customers. I still do not even know what service these people provide! Because of this fraudulent charge, I had to get a new card issued, and all kinds of screwy things happened with my account during the transition process. One of these was that my due date changed to 10 days earlier than previous, so I of course ended up with a late fee, which meant a whole other kind of dispute I had to make. Citibank of course eventually corrected the error, but it was a huge pain and could have ultimately damaged my credit. When I informed the Reservation Rewards lady of all the problems they'd caused me, she said, "You don't have to get so upset, ma'am." YES I DO! YOU'VE BEEN STEALING FROM ME! How have these people not been indicted for fraud yet?

Don't worry about losing the friends you made while playing an MMO. If they are actual friends, you have a way to contact them outside of game, and you will stay in touch. If you don't stay in touch, they weren't a friend, they were someone on your "friends" list, which really should be called a "contacts" list, but the gaming company profits more when you consider the people you meet in game to be your "friend" and not just some acquaintence. -reply by nobody cares

I then sent them an email, telling them I was unsure, as it seemed to entail a lot more, learning and finacially, and received a very terse reply that "HE" had paid $1.87 for my Internet Service Provider Address and there are NO refunds. I went to my old emails today, as I thought I would try this again. I believe that you can do this with layers. On the main, set the background-attachment property to scroll. Overlay this with a <div> block that is anchored at whatever point that will contain the things that you want to remain still. If this doesn't work exactly, overlay the page first with a div with a scrolling background and then place a <div> with no scrolling or only overflow scrolling under it (so it's not inheriting anything) and put you text in this second <div> block. also make sure the second div has no background or it will cover the first. -reply by beefdr

Even if it was like the matrixs, I think it would be impossible unless something from the real world kills you. According to your virtual reality, it is based on the theory that you feel anything because it looks so real I have come up with this. I think if you were to see a knife coming at you, your brain would sense an extreme amount of danger and it would cause your andenaline to pump. This is a real emotion but the knife hitting you isn't real but the pain is, how much pain would you actually feel though. Pain is generally a healthy response in your defensive system letting you know there is something wrong, HOWEVER, because this is virtual reality and it isn't actually happening there is no way your brain would shut down, or you would register that extreme of pain at all! To further prove this theory is correct I will demonstrate through logic. (If your brainshuts down because you think you got stabbed with a knife... I think youd have to be really dumb- I mean you can't think your dead, because when your dead you cant think. Lol) Have you ever been hungry and you close your eyes for a minute think about a big juicy steak, marinated in lush bbq sauce and a1? Can you almost smell that steak, can you almost taste it on your tongue? How about this. Have you ever heard the sound of someone running their finger nails on a chalk board? Picture the sound, the feel, the shreeking. Last one: Picture the most painful thing in your life. Purhaps it is jumping in a pile of coals with your foot, maybe someone snapped your arm playing football. What ever it was think about it. Where in your body do you feel it? For me I jumped in a pile of coals when I was young and thinking about it makes my foot tingle I can almost feel it thinking about it now.
