Why is it not linkingLinking A Url To A ButtonHi I have a flash menu bar with fly out sub menus. The fly out sub menus should link to the other pages created in html. Obviously they are buttons embedded in movie clips at the moment. I tried the above ActionScript by applying it to the buttons, yet they do not link anywhere. The hand shows when you hover over them, yet nothing happens when you click on them, not even an error comes up. Please help? -question by andre

And ventrilo really doesn't take up that much more of your RAM or proccessor. Yes, it does take like 4 times more than TS, but if running a program that is not even 1/2 as processor-strenuous as FireFox or IE is hard on your computer, I think you need to upgrade to the 21st century and get at least 2GB RAM and a 1.6Ghz processor. CS Source freezes after loading serverCounter Strike Problemhey guys,I pray someone can help me. For about a week I enjoyed playing Counter-Strike Source with no problems. I went to create a server, to do some headshot practice and the system loaded the server just fine, but when I got to the title screen I noticed that I couldn't click the "OK" button to begin playing. I realized the game had frozen because I was unable to "ESC" out of the window forcing me to use the task manager to end the program. I thought maybe it was because I did something wrong while creating the server so I tried to load a normal server and got the same response. The server I chose has music that plays and it was skipping/sticking and again I could not click the "OK" button forcing me to end the program.Can anyone help me with this problem, please.-reply by Terencio

To say SATA drives will not be faster then PATA is.. Well most likely wrong. While I agree that a hard drive is not likely to live up to the full speed of a PATA bus (although I don't know the details), what I can tell you is that PATA provides a shared bus where SATA does not. This means that only one drive can be accessed at a time via PATA if both drives are on the same bus. From the OS both drives appear to be openly accessable simultaneously, your speed will drop in half when you use them at the same time on PATA because the OS has to balance read/write back and forth between each one. SATA does not have this issue as each wire on a sata controller represents a different SATA bus. Also, although hard drives are the bottleneck of IO, two ways to speed them up are to invest in drives with a faster RPM and to invest into a RAID controller. Don't be fooled by motherboards that say they come with them because 99.9% that do have a "half" raid controller which is heavily dependent on software drivers and therefor not performing true RAID. Get a 3ware (now owned by LSI) 9650 or 9690 (I use both on servers I run) and setup a raid 5 or raid 6 controller between 3 or more drives. With RAID 5 you will have a speed increase as a multiple of the number of drives you have minus 1, I.E. 3 drives = twice as fast, 5 drives = 4 times as fast ...Approx, I should say almost that speed but not quite and not noticable enough for you to care. Also RAID 0 is faster but if a single disk fails on RAID 0 then all data becomes inaccessible. RAID 5 can support a minimum of 3 drives and has a total capacity of number of drives minus 1. So RAID 5 3 250GB drives will give you what appears as a single disk of 500GB. Raid 6 uses double parity and will give you a total capacity of number of drives minus 2 so 4 250GB drives on RAID gives you a total capacity of 500GB. RAID 6 needs at least 4 drives. Both of those 3ware controllers are hot swappable and just a couple nights ago I had to replace a hard drive on a RAID 6 file server. I removed the bad drive while the OS was running and put a new one in and the RAID controller rebuilt the missing data on the new drive and the OS never flinched or new that a drive was removed. Last thing to keep in mind, with RAID 0, 1, 5, 6 and maybe more, any disk is only seen as big as the smallest disk on the system so if you have a RAID 5 with a 100GB disk, 250GB disk, 500GB disk and 1TB disk, the RAID controller will only use the 100GB of each disk and will give you a total capacity of 300GB or 3 x 100GB with 1 disk size worth of data use for parity.

I played Tibia for quite a few years and I can personally assure you it's a game that's nowhere near worth the trouble. First off, if you expect to get ANYWHERE on it you have to pay, which I did for quite some time. Second off, you can lose a weeks worth of work in a blink of an eye. Most of the time this is caused by some error on the servers end, not your own(such as being kicked). If your still not convinced it's a **** game, go try it out, get to level 100, then think of all the things you could have done with the 4 years worth of your time it took to get that level. -reply by Kody

Problems with user accounts on windows XPUser Account ControlI recently rebuilt my pc and it worked perfectly until I updated the windows Xp files and microsoft explorer. During the process the system asked me to to enter a new user account with pasword and name. I left both blank and continued with the process. I rebooted and ended up with a new background and half my icons missing. I couldnt figure what went wrong and throught I had a virus. I have norton 360 so should not be the case.I closed down the system and rebooted and then a new opening page appeared with two users - my own original with all icons and background and a new one called administrator. I have tried everything to get rid of the new administrator but I don't seem to have any control over it. I went into user controls and unticked the opening screen element and saved and rebooted and it opened on the new administrator page with a different background and half icons missing again . Tried to figure a way out of this and eventually realised if I logged out I could switch back to my original screen.I have tried to change the user control to go back to opening screen with the two user choice but it won't let me, so end result I switch on machine, get to the new administration screen with half icons missing and then have to log off to get to my original screen - help there must be a solution to this what am I missing?-question by Bert

You can't pvp, gvg, or pvm in trickster unless you have the $$$, because everything revolves around having hax EQ's, and... Sadly you don't have good in-game EQ's... So your screwed if you don't have myshop... T___T BIG MONEY WASTER FOR ME T____T 2.) The GM's don't fix in game problems, and update like every month or more, the only thing they do with the players is O/X quizzes, other then that, you rarely even see them >_> 3.) The laggyness sucks, and most of the time you D/C then actually play them game... 4.) The game really has no story, all you do is do boring Episode Quests, and when you get too high leveled, episode quests aren't even good anymore and you end up grinding your way to level 400... ***? The games' IMPOSSIBLE to finish... T___T; 5.) The characters in the game are not equal... If your a sense, you automatically ****, and all you can do is compound/refine really hax eq's (which is myshop of course) /get really expensive items in game. (So you have to have a sense to have even more hax EQ's, and its already so hard to train one char to a high level like 200...)While if your a magic, your automatically hax, because ALL of the GM's in the game are dragons (except GM_Chaos hehe...) So... If your anything other then a magic, you automatically ****, because Charms and Powers only do physical damage, and Dark Lord's/Witches can prevent physical damage with dark barrier... (lol, and even if your charm has mana reflector it barely even hits DL's because their high in sense... And if your a Primadonna, charm wink almost never hits... So your screwed ) Plus if your a Priest/Witch, you have SOH, which means they NEVER EVER EVEr get hit... So if your a Charm/Power/ or Lion (Foxes **** at attacking, sorry all fox lovers out there ;- you can only fairly kill each other, no magics... If there is one in gvg or pvp, your automatically dead... (And theres always magics in there, so good luck lol xD) All I can say is at least Dark Lord's are possible to kill from being so fragile... Priests on the other hand... Well, those are all the things that I just wanted to highlight to anybody who really wants to play the game. And yes, the graphics are incredible, and the music isn't so shabby either, but it gets really gets annoying when they steal music from different places. So... If your willing to pay over $100, and your going to make a sense and magic at level 200 or more, ( most likely a fox because they are better at refining and compounding, and a dragon because their just plain better then a sheep) then you'll be able to actually enjoy yourself, so... Another disgruntled "customer" of this scam. I had charges first appear in May. I didn't at first think much of it, thinking it could be a legitimate charge associated with something I actually USED and WANTED. Once I realized it was a recurring charge for "rewards" which I did not (and still don't) understand what I was ever rewarded with besides $12 less dollars in my account- I called my bank, Chase. They gave me the number to Reservation Rewards, Webloyalty or whatever you crooks call yourselves, which I called. I received nothing but the runaround from them. I was basically called a liar in broken English, but after much back and forth I was promised a refund and cancellation. DIDN'T HAPPEN. I just talked with Chase and they are going to refund me all but 1 of the charges, and I'm canceling the card so you cannot charge me again. I see webloyalty has someone that tries to go around patching these things up- good luck with that, Mary O Reilly! There is a reason why "Reservation Rewards scam" turns up 85,000 hits on Google! I guess that is job security for you though isn't it? As long as your company keeps up the shady business practices you will never be associated with anything other than the well-earned poor reputation for perpetuating this kind of crap.

I'd just like to point out that we'd live in a very sad world if we were all Vegetarian/Vegan. I'm from a farming background. It's what my whole family have done for centuries and they wouldn't be farming animals if no one ate meat. There would be no money to live as no one would want the meat. So, say were all Vegetarian/Vegan, what happens...We only have wild animals in the countryside as no one is prepared to farm sheep, cattle, pigs etc etc etc. I find so many people are extremely naive about the whole thing and, not that I've read all these, but rob86, you're entitled to your opinion, but if wild animals weren't kept under control, we would be in a complete mess!! By the way, I'm personally an animal lover too, but I know the consequences only too well if we don't get the balance right!

RPG Maker TransportaionRpg Maker XpAll you have to do is select the events lair. Then you right click one of the squares(ex. The door of a house) then click new event.A window will then pop up. Once you see that large list of options on the right hand side of the window, go to the second tab of options. Then you click TRANSPORT. Another window will appear, then select your map, and select the square of where you want your character to transport. Click OK, then X it out of it. I played runescape for 2 years but I found it to be mainly a farming game that was extremely repetitive. world of warcraft is fun, but it is mainly full of endgame content and even then, you have to find groups of hardcore players to fully explore its content. If you aren't fully devoted to it you wont get very far. mostly what I'm looking for is a nice mmorpg that I can play at my own rate and not have to deal with a tight scheduel for raids ect. runescape would have been good but since I've quit they killed it with the wildy and such. All I remember of runescape was hours of fishing and mining coal, looking up quests on rune hq, and standing in a bank typing "selling BS" millions of times over and over again. -reply by Malgo

Now there's a note in the Quick installation guide that says 'during the installation under windows 2000/XP... For the installation you need administrator rights. In order to work ith the app. You must be a member of the group Power Users or higher. Now I use Vista. And I've read in some forums that the 'power uses' has been removed in Vista. Why the hell doesn't Vista allow me to install it? Something pops up saying I need administrator rights. The account I am using HAS administrator rights. I am logged on as an admin. How can I get around this problem? I don't know how I can be a 'member of the group Power users' I just want to install this damn CD. I would be grateful to anyone who can shed light on this. Cheers! Well as we know that intel is much expensive than amd processors... in my opinion I will say that Intel Core i7 is a perfect processor to buy ... It copies 2gb application in 2 minutes... Isn;t it amazing running at blazing speed of 3.2 ghz... only the thing to remind is that it runs on high temperature ,but that;s not a big deal. Replying to sourabhjIf your serious about game programming learn a programming language there are lots of languages you can use like VB.Net, C#, C++, Java, Perl, Ruby stuff like that even notepad is a programming language in its own right because its a text editor that if you use a .Txt filename ext it can be used to jot down notes if you save it as a .Vbs or a .Bat filename ext you can use it to script or if you save it as a .Html filename ext you can create web pages but becarefull because if you don't know what you are doing when saving it as a .Vbs or .Bat you can accidently create deadly viruses that can possibly damage your computer when run the only problem with trying to write a game in notepad tho is it does not have a compiler and just in case you didn't know a compiler is built into a programming language to debug the program before executing and when programming a game for a console the compiler alters the code so the game will work on your console. . . Anyway sorry I'm getting ahead of myself. The programming languages can be used to write the game unless you want your game in 2D I suggest using a 3D program, you can use Maya, 3D Studio Max, DirectX etc and I am sure there are more 3D programs out there to choose from well that about sums it upGood Luck in your searches-reply by Gilbert
