Public display of affection...I love this expression.First of all, I'm a high school student. I do not have a girlfriend, and no, if I had one I would not make out with her in the school hallways. At least it's very unlikely. But we are talking here about two people that possibly love each other. So why should they not be allowed to publicly display their affection? If you are 30 and dating someone, who you might marry, you are allowed to publicly show affection. Agreed, for most high school sweethearts marriage seems pretty unlikely, but still I resent the idea of hiding a relationship from the public, no matter how old you are. For me this has something to do with free will. Of course, it's not appropriate to have sex in public, at least I guess that most people would agree to that. But should holding hands or kissing really be prohibited? Concerning the argument with the learning environment: What can possibly create a more family-like and friendly environment than to see that people actually still love each other?By the way: I'm in a catholic high school, ergo PDA is strictly prohibited.-reply by Ira`

I recently bought my FIRST computer so bear with me. Its great when it works. I have HP Compaq Presario Windows VISTA Qwest DSL 1.5. IE 7 CONSTANTLY hangs freezes crashes. I must close w/ Task Manager or reboot. I delete browsing hx (websites, temp internet files etc). I run Windows Live Care One One Webroot Spy Sweeper Trend Micro Anti Virus. I install Windows Updates go to Problem Reports HP updates etc. I runs great then freezes locks and crashes. I love having a computer but it is fustrating.

Adding Quick Access Shortcuts Help: Adding My Videos Folder To Start Menu I know you guys are playing around to figure something out ( and I admire that and wish I could do all that kind of stuff myself ), and I also wanted to add My Videos and My Downloads to the Start Menu ; but there are a lot of people out there ( including me ) who are not as savy as a lot of you Computer Gurus so here is an easy way to access whatever " folder " or " file " you want . Just " right-click " and HOLD mouse button and Drag & Drop a shortcut on Quicklauch taskbar or right-click Taskbar and Click on Toolbars and then Create a " New Toolbar " of whatever you want by browsing to where it is and clicking on it .I do this with the Control Panel and Accessories and find it extremely convenient . I also have a whole bunch or shortcuts to different folders in my Quicklaunch Area , even one of the Quicklaunch Folder so I can add whatever to it that much more easily . I am a "historian" and not a web programmer, although I do have a monstrous site at http://www.indianamilitary.org/, hosted by the US Army. I am spending many, many hours re-constructing Infantry Division rosters that were all destroyed by the Army following WW2. Too date, it has nealy 30,000 names, each with a good deal of attached data. Now I find some museums in Europe are capturing my webpages and using them as thought they had done the work. I don't mind them looking up an individual, but not "listing" all 30,000. Everything is in HTML tables made by Lotus Approach. (DNF). I'd like some easy understandable method to keep all my work save yet available. That may not be possible, but I have to ask. Thanks for any help. -Jim West

Widescreen vs Dual Screen? Widescreen Computer Display Sorry, I just stumbled upon this site. Is this an appropriate place to post a question relating to widescreen computer displays? I'm in the process of purchasing a new computer. My boss offered to purchase a second/dual screen for my new computer along with the needed cards/etc since I often work in multiple windows. However, I like the idea of just having a widescreen rather than dual screen. Are there widescreen that accommodate two windows at an acceptable font size? What would be the pro's and con's to each? Also, I am leaning toward another laptop rather than a desktop. Does that make a difference? Any advice or tips would be appreciate. -question by Lisa

USB is connected but the Drive for it cannot be seen Winxp Cannot Detect Usb Harddisk Before, my computer can detect my USB and I can open the files in it.
