  2. Hello? My support ticket has gone unanswered. Almost a week of zero response becomes troublesome.
  3. The mailing list appears to be intact but every attempt to post to it receives a Delivery failure notice. Here are 2 examples from 2 different emails. I have already submitted a support request but have received no response in 24 hours. I apologize if this comes off as impatient but the mailing list is my primary method of communication for administrating a business. My domain is renaissance.trap17.com and the ticket ID is RLM-766960.
  4. The question is not about age but maturity. Maturity, maturity, maturity! As stated before phone privilages can not be awarded by age, but rather earned by trust. If a mentally mature twelve-year-old needs a phone give it to them. Don't give it for no reason, but perhaps as a reward for their maturity/responsibility. On the otherhand, an immature eighteen-year-old should not be simply given a phone. They can either work for the privilage (pay for it themselves), or if a parent prefers them no to work, an allowance system should be instated. For teens that display moderate maturity pre-pay or "pay as you go" phones are best. The teen will quickly learn to watch their minutes and respect the privilage. And as there are always exceptions, any kid who needs but is not mature enough for a phone (especially gradeschoolers), should be given a kids phone regardless of age. Yes, if a fourteen-year-old needs a phone, yet does not instill a good level of faith, give them a wisely limited child's phone.Basically, it all comes down to the mentallity towrds cellphones; if a person wants/needs a phone for valid reasons they tend to use it appropiately. However, those who want or "need" it just because, will generally abuse it the privilage if their not monitored.
  5. The price of medications varies from store to store. In general Shopper's Drug Mart is good http://www1.shoppersdrugmart.ca/en/home Good luck.

  9. It has been said multiple times already but "be yourself". If it doesn't work out than no amount of acting would've helped you, no matter what would've grown would be false and unreal. And if by chance you are uncomfotable with being yourself, your probably putting the girl on a pedestal or your genuinely second-guessing your personality.
  10. Perfect is an ideal; a theoretical goal. So indeed practice can't make perfect (it's mathemaitcally true)

  14. Congratulations! I bet you're busy infusing the newest member of the family with your good charms :PIt's really something when you hold a newborn in your arms and I bet you're excited to do so. Just remember to teach him sports and he'll be fine.
  15. As sad as it is it has to be done; such is the world that we live in. Why? Because the birth rate in 1st world countries are down, way down. Couples are delaying childbearing until their late 30s, even their 40s, putting their career and lifestyle before family. That's not to say everyone does it for those reasons, but it is a tragedy none the less. I heard it said somewhere that "today's culture" emphasizes qualitites opposed to being a mother/father; is that a cause? Probably not.I don't understand why "Russians are crazy" keeps being repeated in this thread. Yeah, it happened in Russia but the US and Canada are probably only a few steps behind. The advantage that the North America has is our high influx of immigrants. Yes, immigrants. Those people that are accused of draining federal resources are bringing their families; bringing their kids, and supplementing the needed youth into our system. But I digress...I agree that the situation presented requires some restrictions to safeguard against abuse. My first idea was to limit the rewards to married couples with documentation. This would however wrongfully discriminate against unmarried and otherwise fully capable couples. Short of making the incentives less appealing there doesn't seem to be a plausible limitation. Any ideas?
  16. For the most part these are private sector companies doing this to make money. They've had cars that could go in the water since the 1960s (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Amphicar), a couple of years ago they did a 3 seater with a land speed exceeding 100mph and a water speed of 30mph. The Aquada set a record for crossing the English Channel. Now if you want to talk about an RV driving in the water... that's still old news Link: http://www.camillc.com/terrawind.htm

  19. That is why I avoid dubs like a bad rash whenever I can. One of the worst dubs I've seen is the Trigun series.
  20. Hi and welcome to Xisto! The community here is something special once you get into it. As for your computer troubles, it just goes to show when they work they work, but when they don't, they really don't.Happy Birthday (a day away)
  21. I think it's highly possible if not probable. In the 1990s there was a guy who wanted to marry his car, a vintage Mustang, and there was a debate about it. I doubt he suceeded since a car can't sign it's name, but AI definitely can. Think about it; if there are people willing to marry something artificial with no intelligence, than there are bound to be people who will want to marry Artificial Intelligence, in this case robots/androids.Note: I looked for the article about the guy and his car but couldn't find it. If someone does let me know or post it here.
  22. SOURCE: URL: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ The common belief that the human body can only last a short period of time without oxygen is being proven false. According to studies some cells lasted as long as an hour without oxygen before deteriorating. What makes it even more interesting is the fact that it's the re-oxygenation that is killing the cells; the cell receives too much oxygen too fast and shuts down. Some doctors believe it's an anti-cancer reaction to a abnormal function of the cell. So really an anti-cancer mechanism may be responsible for making us kill ourselves (in a matter of speaking). By slowing the process of re-oxygenation heart attack caused ER resuscitation has seen a healthy improvement. The survival rate has increased from 15 to 80%! What does this mean? Well, for one ER resuscitation can be doing more damage than good, but it also means that victims of prolonged drownings are not as far gone as we thought. It's really interesting to find this out.
  23. I like it and hate it. Unfortunately, I feel that with the laws of elevation they've inevitably rreached a saturation point where it's impossible to continue. Perhaps they've be better of without a side series. New (weaker) characters fighting new (weaker) bad guys who aren't necessarily aliens/androids. True, the art is a bit different but you have to realize 2 things:1) The americanized versions are dated as it usually takes a few years for an anime to be picked up and aired in the US; the newest animes have sharper graphics, commonly cell shaded. Try some fansubs. 2) Art is art; some series makes use of simplified art to emphasize other parts of the story. Try non-americanized animes - you'll find quite a few good ones. I say non-americanized because indeed you are right, the vast majority of animes that are shown in the US have a rinse and repeat methodology to them. Real anime is inventive and compelling. Indeed, once they started going higher and higher in terms of the fighter's power levels, I knew the show was reaching an impending end. We also have to remember that the english version has several of the movies missing; the japanese storyline has characters like Broli(sp?) and the earlier androids.
  24. Very nice find indeed. I'm interested to see what he says on some games where my opinion contradicts the commonly accepted belief.
