  1. Heh, staying active is no problem for me. I may have mentioned it above, but I do Track and Field, and the physical activity we do in there is harder than most of the football players, who won their district championship by thw way, could handle. seriously, they joined and quit after the first time we did the dirty dozen. However, eating will not be all that much of a problem for me. almost all of the cholestorol I have is genetic. When I took the first test, after I had a full days worth of food, my cholesterol was 311, after I had fasted for 12 hours, it dropped less than 20 points tp 285. Basically the only thing I can do for it is take medication. I'm still going to see a nutritionist to see what I can do, but my doctor thinks a change of diet wont do much.
  2. I see now that most things say it's 500mb HOWEVER, this is the last place I had checked to see how much space I had and it says 150mb: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ . If you take a look at the second to last line you'll see "or package 2, which provides 150 MB of webspace and 5000 MB of bandwidth" But either way, thanks for answering that for me. I was getting worried I'd accidentally go over. I definitely like the 500 better
  3. This is probably a stupid question, but exactly how much space do you get with the default(30 cred) package? I know it says 150mb, but in my cpanel it says I'm using xxmb/500mb.
  4. For each of the categories, here are my favorites:Action Shooter: Return To Castle WolfensteinTactical Shooter: Battlefield 1942Tactical RPG: Fire Emblem 7/Gemfire (tie)Adventure RPG: Final Fantasy IV AdvanceSports: DOn't like sports games.Puzzle: Pipe Dream (oh yeah!)RTS: Rise of Nations
  5. Hello everyone, I've been using Ruby to script in RPG Maker XP, and I've started to explore making games with Ruby alone. The question I have, is how far can this language go? Is this language much more limited than say C++ or Java?
  6. True, if you are looking for something for a barebones forum, some of the simpler programs like Simple Machine Forums or an older version of PhpBB might be better for you. All free also.
  7. Hello, welcome to Xisto. I'd also like to say, don't worry, you've found the right host.
  8. Personally, I don't see why you have to buy forum software at all. I personally use only free Forums software. My favorite is PHPbb3. It took it until v3 to catch up with the others out there, but it really is as good as the payed software now. I've looked at the prices for software like vBulletin and IPB, and I think they're way over priced. When you think about it, PHPbb3 has everything that you really need for a great forum.
  9. By levels I meant different maps.As for PvP and PvCPU, I was thinking it'd be both. And to clear up any confusion, this game will be a top-down 2D shooter.
  10. Yeah, this place is definitely the best free host I've found. No ads, 50mb of space. The only cost is posting on these forums. That's not too bad at all. I've tried a few other hosts like 9999mb.com, and they wont even let you upload some types of files that you need to run, say, a forum. I'd like it if Xisto had bigger packages, but if you're just making a normal website it's great. Basically there's not much more you could ask for from a free host.
  11. Well, originally this was going to be an action game, so it would be just shooting, and each level only takes about five minutes. But, making a more complicated version may indeed be grounds to pick this project back up again. Including medics and such like in the battlefield series would indeed make the game more interesting, so we'll see what happens.
  12. For me it'd have to be Black Sabbath, Kiss, and The WHO. Those three bands together cover basically all the types of music I really like.
  13. Well, I would plan on having everyone get to have around 30 days free trial, then they have the option to keep playing for $2 a month. As it stands now, I'm not entirely sure I'll get the chance to swing back to this project. I have so many other projects right now, this one really seems not so good compared to the others now. I have to finish my Pokemon Starter Kit, I have to finish the website for my Game Development COmpany, I have to fix a Ruby script, then I have toi wrok on game projects with my company.I'll probably put polls around a few forums, including this one, to see if I should continue making it, because as it stands now, It may tirn out to be a pretty expensive project to complete.
  14. For me, it's definitely Acid Rock. Black Sabbath, Kiss, The Who, they're all great.
  15. Wow, it's a good thing everyone is still alive.Airbags, by the way, will kill you almost 100% of the time if you don't wear your seat belt and have the head rest at the right position. If you actually use all the safety features your car can have, you can come out of a serious accident without even a scratch. But, if you use the safety features wrong, it can be more deadly than without the seatbelt or air bag. People have gotten heads ripped off by seatbelts because they were laying down with their head wrapped in the belt.
  16. I think phpBB3 is really good. It's not too complicated to use. It has great funcionality, and I find that the Admin CP is more organized than in other forum softwares.
  17. That could work, but then you'd have to make a certain button on the controller or keyboard be to start talking. Then when you press it it could make the static sound.
  18. I started posting about a month ago and I just about gave up and went looing for a different host. I'm really glad I didn't.With age comes experience, and this place really is doing great.Happy 3 Xisto
  19. I would suggest BF 1942 now, and CSS when it's price drops a bit more. Right now BF 1942 is only $10, and it is one of the most addicting games I've ever played. Once I got up at 8am, started playing. I had no idea what time it was until at 5 am the next day I was in the middle of a backflip in a fighter plane and I fell asleep. I woke up when my plane crahsed and exploded.Another reason I suggest BF 1942 is that you can be more than infantry. In CS, you can't drive or fly or use any boats. In BF, you actually get to pilot the vehicles of WWII.HEY! Lemme know if you get BF, because I still play that game all the time. I think it's a bit better than BF Vietnam or 2.
  20. I know it's not all that high under normal conditions, but it's pretty high for such a young age, and I need to be really careful because, as someone mentioned earlier, it's in my genetics. My uncle had a heart attack at around age 33 and my father had one at 29 and like 34. My father's cholestorol get's as high as 500( it's a medical miracle that he hasn't died) when he doesn't take his medication and doesn't watch his diet. I've already started to lower my cholestorol, but I've never really had that much in my diet as it is. SO far, I've switched to whole grain cereals, I don't add salt on my food anymore(only every once in a while), and I don't refuse salads anymore like I used to. Oh, I forgot to mention earlier that I do also have Acute Asthma. I only need to take my inhaler before races or running workouts, but even then I only rememebr about 2/3 of the time. That's why I'm concerned that I may forget too much. Obviously once every now and then isn't so bad, but if I forget too often it could get ugly. The high cholesterol combined with stress and my being high strung put me at a possible risk to have a heart attack within the next five or so years.
  21. I'm only 16 and I just found out I'm going to have to go on medication because my choloesterol is in the 280's. Other than that, I'm in perfect health, 5' 11+1/2", 155lbs. I'm very active, I run track and field and Cross Country. What I wanted to know is how hard it is to rememebr to take the medication every day.
  22. Oh, I agree. I'm not saying anything or anybody is bad right now, I'm just saying that people need to stop and think about, for instance, religion in the Pledge.
  23. Well, what I mean is the country is actually hurting it's people's future right now. I mean pledging allegiance to a country that does what U.S. is supposed to do makes perfect sense. But when it fails to make good on the promises it made, why do we still have to make promises to it? I'm not really sure either way right now, but I think it's something to really think about.
