I'm really not sure when it'd be done. If there's not enough interest, then I wont even bother. the reason why I have to at least make a single player demo, is for my history class. I may post that demo later. The demo will noly have the three days of the battle of gettysburg and the information about the war.

I've been thinking. Everyday in schools across America we say the Pledge of allegiance, without really listening to the words. I've recently noticed that it doesn't really make much sense. "I pledge allegiance to the flag, and to the united states of America. And to the Republic for which it stands.." The more I think about it, I'm not so sure that makes much sense. I thought it was supposed to be a nation for the people, not a people for the nation. Isn't the nation supposed to pledge allegiance to it's people? What do you guys think?

If your looking for a pretty cool wargame, try Glest. It's free, you can find it on download.com, just search for it there. And if you don't mind Paying, Rise of Nations is very possibly the best RTS out there right now (I haven't tried Rise of Legends, but that's supposed to be even better)I think you'd really like Rise of Nations, you get alot of control over your nation's development, about the same amount as age of empires.

Potentially Groundbreakingly Fun Development? Certainly a Possibility
DeM0nFiRe replied to Jimmy's topic in Computer Gaming
I think that'd be a freakin' awesome idea. There just aren't enough co-op campaign games, especially for WWII. -
Realm Crafter -a Mmorpg Creator whats evry1 think of it?

I used the program a little, or at least tried to. It's minimum resource requirement is actually lower than it should be, it overloaded and overheated my computer when I tried it. -
I was wondering if anyone here plays the ijji.com version of GunZ.If you don't know what it is, it's a free Third Person shooter modeled after the Matrix. While there are guns, the real search for skill advancement lies in te sword. With so many different combos, the sword can be a very deadly weapon, despite it's short range. This game has been in various stages of Beta for quite some time, and has just a couple months sgo been given the final release status. However, the game is still being updated.I personally really like this game, but it gets kinda old when you've played in almost all the stages of beta and YOU CHARACTER GETS DELETED EVERYTIME THEY GO TO A NEW VERSION!!! :lol:I actually took a break from the game for this very reason, but have recently got back into it. If you play, please post your characters names and levels and what your thoughts on the game are.My character is DeM0nFiRe lv8

A Highly Controversial Topic: The Death Penalty.
DeM0nFiRe replied to UnheroicHero's topic in General Discussion
I think that at a certain point, you have to forget about the feelings of the prisoner, you have to forget about any money, and you have to forget about making the killer pay ammends. there gets to be a certain point where it becomes a safety issue for anyone in the area. It comes to the point where you have to make sure that the killer can never kill again, whatever it takes. I think that the farthest it really needs to go, however, is a life sentence without parole meaning a life sentence without parole. there's no "good behavior" for a murdere. They've killed someone, and by taking away someone's right to life, liberty, and property, they should at least lose two of the three. If that's the sacrifice too kepp innocent people safe, then so be it. -
The most dasterdly company has gotta be EA. They buy out the rights to everything except your schools tennis team and the moon. They bought out the friggin' NFL for cripes sake! What makes them really evil is the fact you can't boycott them. Them vile fiends made Battlefield, how can you say no to Battlefield?

For me, it'd be Masters of Doom. It's about the people who made, you guessed it, Doom. I mean, I always wanted to do game development, but once I read that book I was like Holy crap, I can do that!

I've been reading Terry Pratchett's Discworld series, and I find he's a great author. He creates an entire world, and is able to put the world in the reader's head through footnotes explaining everything he alludes to. And, of course, he's friggin hilaroious. In my opinion, his best book is Theif of Time. What do you guys think of Terry Pratchett?

Circles Don't Exist? a theory of existance
DeM0nFiRe replied to galexcd's topic in General Discussion
No, a straight line is not a circle. The definition of a circle includes that it is a closed shape. A straight line holdds all the properties of a circle except the one. Circles are purely imaginary, as the definition is an impossibility. -
Ooh, how about the final boss in Return To Castle Wolfenstein? I cant remember his name, was it Heinrich?

Circles Don't Exist? a theory of existance
DeM0nFiRe replied to galexcd's topic in General Discussion
Ok, I'll prove right now that circles do not exist. All regular flat shapes are maade of triangles right? This would mean that a circle is made up of an infinite amount of triangles right. In order for an infinite number of angles to not equal infinity when added, the measure of the inner most angle of each triangle is an infintecimal(or 0 repeating with a 1 at the end) right? this would mean that the remaining measures of the angles are 179.9 repeating.now, 1/9 = .1 repeating, correct? let's do some algebra:1/9=.1repeating <- now we'll multiply both sides by nine9/9 = .9repeatingNOw, we all know that anything divided by itself =1 correct? well, using if A=B and C=B then C=Awe'll see that if .9repeating = 9/9 and 1=9/9 then .9 repeating =1so that means that 179.9repeating is the same as 179+9/9, which means that the last angle, the one that is supposed to be an infintecimal, must be equal to the remaining ninths of 9/9 which means it's 0/9 which means that there are no other angles which means that a circle, by it's defintion of being closed regular shap, does not exist. -
The Best Ever Trpg! Is It New? What do you think is the best?
DeM0nFiRe replied to DeM0nFiRe's topic in Computer Gaming
Gemfire was only ever released for the NES, so I can't give you a link to it.And I've heard the civilization games are good, but they aren't TRPG's they're RTS's aren't they? -
How To Shave Off 5 Seconds In A Two Mile Race.
DeM0nFiRe replied to ephemeralkiss's topic in Health & Fitness
I may be able to help you, but you need to tell me what your main prblem is that prevents you from finishing faster?I mean, is it shortness of breath, pain in legs, jelly-legs, cramping legs?I run track also and how you'd need to shave off time really depends on why you didn't do better before. -
Ok, so I got permission from my history teacher for my Final Exam to be to make a civil war game. The game is a top-down third person shooter. I am considering making it an online game after I hand it in to my teacher. I was wondering if anyone here would be willing to pay 2$/month to play a top-down civil war shooter.

Circles Don't Exist? a theory of existance
DeM0nFiRe replied to galexcd's topic in General Discussion
A circle is really just an infinite amount of triangles. Technically circles actually do have sides. to make any regualar shape you use triangles. And as the number of triangles increases, the length of the base of each triangle decreases(assuming you are keeping the same area). this means that as the number of triangles approaches infinity, the length of the side approaches an infinitecimal. -
I actually have thought about and I know exactly how I'll do the Multiplayer(or atleast the map part of it)It will be really simple, I'll only need the built in Getcalc(

I have to say, SM64 is definitely the best. It really defined 3D platformers, and none other have ever reached it's greatness.

@street: Ha ha, that's pretty funny, the one event you ran under bad conditions is the one you beat me at(I can only get down to like 12.3-13s but I don't run short distance so i didn't include my 50/100/200 times)@jhlaslip: wow, 4:29, not bad at all. There's a kid in my league who's best time as a sophomore last year was 4:29, but he did worse this year. I hope to get down to around 4:30 by senior year, I'm only a Sophomore now so it's still an obtainable goal.
