I never actually played Tony Hawk Pro Skater 4, but I've played the sequel to the first one on my computer. One time, my mom and I saw a garage sale, so we decided to come in and have a look. There, we a saw brand-new Tony Hawk Pro Skater 2 game for like 2 bucks, so my mom bought it for me.As for the game itself, I think THPS is an awesome if you have some freetime to waste because it can get very addictive if you play it too much. I especially like some of their cheat codes where you can make the skater as fat as a refrigerator or as skinny as a line. Good stuff!

Ahh, yes, try changing your "Index.php" into "index.php". In other words, make the "I" in your "Index" lowercase. I think that should make a difference. Otherwise, delete your "index.html".

I will tell you why the Edit button was removed. In a time not so long ago in the same place, there were these mischievous people who found a loophole in the credits system. First they'd find a time when no moderators and admins are around. Then, very sneakily, they'd find a random topic and reply to it. Instead of properly replying (staying on topic) they'd post something completely useless consisting of a bunch of random numbers and letters. A second later, they'd go back and edit their post - this time properly (staying on topic). This method could be used to gain a HUGE amount of credits that would enable them to NOT come to the forum anymore. In other words, they can go on with their lives and forget about Xisto. Now, if everyone did this, then Xisto would cease to exist because trap DEPENDS on members. If everyone left Xisto, then the ad-clicking would stop, and Xisto would not gain anymore revenue. You can thank those fews (I do not know their names) for ruining this for everyone.Double posting, althought not a serious issue, can be prevented. If you find that you made a mistake in your post, simply report your own post to an admin or moderator and explain your position. We will be glad to fix everything for you without giving you a warning.

Have you actually used this yourself?? I tried signing up for this because I've heard good things about it, but you have to enter your tax stuff, so I didn't continue...

Hmm, I don't know if this is me, but I thought Ad-Aware gets rid of adware and spyware programs on your computer.... I used Panda one time, and I could NOT get it to work. Then, when I tried uninstalling it from my computer, it wouldn't let me! I had to "uninstall" it manually by removing every file from Panda under c:\Program Files. Even then I could not delete some files because it was currently being used. *sigh* By the way, spook, your .tk website doesn't work, and ssw.trap17.com is suspended. Other than that, enjoy your stay here at Xisto.

Hmm, I don't know any C++, but I do know Visual Basic and Java, and there are statements for both languages that can stop the execution in the current block it's in. For example, in Visual Basic, if you want to get out of a For...Next loop, you'd use the Exit For statement like so: Dim blah as IntegerFor blah = 1 To 99 blah = blah + 1 If blah = 45 Then Exit For End IfNext blah You can also use the Exit statement in Visual Basic to break out of a sub or a function: Exit Subor Exit Function In Java, you have the break statement which ends the current loop. You'd use it the same way as the Exit statement in VB. I don't know if all that helped you, but you can try to find a statement in C++ that ends the execution in the block of code like VB or Java.

Yeah, copying phrases from popular shows and movies can be funny at first, but it will get annoying later on. Take David Chappelle for instance, after his Lil' Jon episode, EVERYONE at my school starting going "YEAAAAAAAH!", "OKAAAY!", and "HA-WHAAAT?!".But it will die down if given enough time.

Another similar poll has already been started. Please use the search function next time. It's there for a reason. Poll: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/7805-male-or-female-just-wanted-to-know/ Thank you.

The Social Security program that we (Americans) have now goes all the way back to the time of Franklin Delanor Roosevelt and the Great Depression when he passed the Social Security Act. It was meant as an old-age insurance program, an unemployment compensation system, and an aid to families with dependent children and the disabled. It was very important during the time of the Great Depression because without it, many people would have experienced severe poverty or neglect. Every month, a percentage of money is taken from workers' paychecks, like Forsaken said. This money is invested in a trust fund, and is paid to you when you retire, so you'll have more money given to you when you retire than the total money that was taken out of your paychecks. So to answer your question, Forsaken, yes, you do "get a dime of it", but you don't get it right away. The Social Security system is also an unemployment compensation system because it tries to lure older people into retiring so more jobs will be readily available. This is beneficial to our economy because younger people can work faster and harder than older people. There are several problems with the Social Security program, though. First, Americans are living longer than they did in 1935. Also, the ratio of workers to retirees is shrinking, so fewer people are contributing to the system relative to the number who are receiving benefits. Lastly, the benefits under the Social Security program have expanded.

My Threadless T-shirt Design Say what you think of it.

Haha, I tried voting for you, but I had to sign up , so I didn't How high of a score do you need for it to go into printing? -
I completely agree with this 100%, and I was wondering about the legality of the government hacking our computers just for financial gain, and you agree with me on this :)I read a story on the internet that says that the MPAA or RIAA (I don't remember) sued a deceased woman (not a typo). This tells us that the MPAA or RIAA ONLY wants money because they don't take the time to research on the person they're suing, or in this case, to find out if they're alive or not.

I don't see myself using "sl" anywhere in the future because personally, I think using an acronym for the best medicine on earth is wrong. When someone on AIM or Xisto makes me laugh, I just type "haha", and if they REALLY make me laugh, then I append more "ha"'s to said phrase.

This thread is a replica of dark's "Your Favorite Meal?", so it will be closed. Go to dark's thread to post instead: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/8888-your-favorite-meal/ Thank you.

I agree with what everyone said - nice simple tutorial! The only thing I don't agree with is using tables for positioning because the browser has to render every aspect of the table first before displaying your site.Other than that, way to go!

snlildude87 replied to Inspiron's topic in Web Hosting Support
Haha, yep And if you go to the main page of the Army System at http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?act=army, you can see that it's based on the Kings of Chaos -
Game Embeded ? Orcs, Humans, Elves... What are all these ?
snlildude87 replied to Inspiron's topic in Web Hosting Support
The "game" you are referring to is called the Army and is completely separate from the forum. You can learn more about this fun game by reading OpaQue's descriptive instructions here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/450-quick-start-guide/ -
Hosting Point Question How it works ?
snlildude87 replied to Inspiron's topic in Web Hosting Support
Only administrators can control hosting credits but only when they feel the person deserves it (whether the situation is good or bad). The banner competition that's going on now would be a good example of giving out credits, and spamming would be a good example of taking away credits. On another perspective, moderators can take away credits also, but we cannot remove the an exact number of credits. For example, if a moderator feels a person is spamming, he can delete the spammer's post and let the credit system take care of the rest. -
Who's Viewing My Site? Targeted for AIM users
snlildude87 replied to snlildude87's topic in General Discussion
Yes and no. It does not tell you the number of people who visited your site via AIM, but it does list the people who visits your site through AIM, so the only way to know is to count the lines in info.txt -
Haha Dawid, no, the PSP is something tangible, and you won't be disappointed at all. The PSP stands for Playstation Portable, and according to KBlack2595, it is released today. I may be wrong, but I think the PSP can play Playstation games, DVD's, music, and a whole lot of other media, too.

As some of you may know, I asked a question on how to get a portion of the URL in the address bar and save it, and thanks to several sources*, I have successfully learned how to do that. Today, I will share with you, step-by-step, my knowledge. The object of this tutorial is to mimic a feature on many subprofiles where you're able to see the AIM screennames of people who viewed your site. Note: The URL that I will be using extensively throughout this tutorial is http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. This is not a special URL reserved on Xisto but is merely a representation of your site, so you'd need to replace that URL with your own. In my case, it'd be http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. More noteage: Since the forum does not allow more than one space (" ") and my tutorial is intended to be in outline format, the numbering is a little weird, but the overall meaning of the tutorial is the same. 1. Open Notepad 2. Copy and paste the following code into Notepad: <?php $name = $_GET["name"]; //gets whatever is after "name=" in your URL (for example, the URL http://yoursite.trap17.com/index.php?name=myname will store "myname" in the variable $name $file = "info.txt"; //this is the file name, or the list, of the screennames of people who viewed your site $handle = fopen($file, "a"); //opens info.txt to append fwrite($handle, $name); //appends whatever is in the variable $name to info.txt fwrite($handle, ";\n"); //adds a new line to info.txt after appending fclose($handle); //closes file connection?>3. Save the Notepad file as index.php (Use the same configuration I have in the screenshot to successfully save the file as a .php file) 4. Make a new file in Notepad (File -> New) 5. Save the blank file as info.txt in the SAME DIRECTORY as index.php saved in step 3 6. Upload a. WS_FTP [Professional] (I will assume you already know how to use this program) 1. Upload info.txt and index.php to a folder in your Xisto account (I am going to use the root folder* in this tutorial) 2. Right click on info.txt on your Xisto webspace (the right side of WS_FTP) 3. Select Properties in the menu 4. Enter 777 as the numeric value b. Browser 1. Go to your cPanel (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/) 2. Click on File Manager in Site Management Tools 3. Click on the FOLDER ICON next to "www" 4. Click on Upload file(s) 5. Click the first "Browse..." button 6. Find info.txt 7. Click Open 8. Click on the second "Browse..." button 9. Find index.php (it should be in the same directory as info.txt) 10. Find and click on info.txt on the left side of the window. 11. You should see the following menu on the right side of the browser: 12. Click on Change Permissions 13. Enter 7 for the User, 7 for the Group, and 7 for the World 14. Click Save 7. To test, you have to put a link to index.php in your AIM profile: a. Go to your buddy list b. Go to My AIM -> Edit Profile... d. If you get a window with an OK button on it, click OK e. Click the Next button (it should be at the bottom next to the Cancel button) twice f. Click on link g. Enter in the following "http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/; (without quotes) for "Hyperlink URL". Remember to replace yoursite.trap17.com with the URL of your site h. For Hyperlink Text, enter "Check out my site!" (without quotes - by the way, any text can go here) i. Click OK in the "Edit Hyperlink" box, and Finish in the "Create a Profile" box You're done! You can either get a friend to click on the link in your profile, or test it out yourself. To test it yourself, go to your URL (http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/). If you followed my instructions explicitly, then you should not get an error or warning, but you should see a blank page. Now, go you http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/, and you should see "testing;" on the first line. Be sure to check info.txt periodically to see who viewed your site ! *I like to thank beeseven for helping me get started as well as SAMS Teach Yourself PHP4 in 24 Hours Edit: One of the BBCode did not show up, but it does now

PHPtech, there is no set rule for what you can and cannot enter in the Comments box. This just tells the search engine, or a person reading your submission, what your site is about and why their robots should crawl your site.I usually put what my site is about and what I have on my site (flash games, jokes, funny pictures). Be sure to be relevant, though. If your site does not have any games, and you enter in "games" in the comments box, search engines might use your comments as keywords, so when people find your site, they'll be disappointed as they will not find what they want.Using proper English helps because it helps the reader to correct place your site into the proper category.
