  1. I've never used netbux anyway because I thought it was too good to be true, but I was going to join when I'm 18 (when you can use PayPal). Now, I know that I should not waste my time with netbux. Thanks!!
  2. *cough* snLILdude87 *cough*But yeah, if you need anything, post in my thread.
  3. I believe you can change your username here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/180-free-web-hosting-misc-requests/. Make a post to request. And cmatcmextra, if you want to change your username, make a different post - don't hijack other people's threads.
  4. It does look pretty fake. First, the magnifying glasses in the top right look strikingly similar to Firefox's magnifying glasses. And second, the tabs also look very similar to Firefox's tabs. You can get rid of the loading bar at the bottom on any modern browser (View -> uncheck Status Bar)
  5. People can still put your images on their site regardless of whether there is a watermark on it or not - the watermark is there for others to know who it originally belongs to.I guess putting a watermark on your image is good enough - better than making it flash because people can just print screen the flash image, crop what they don't need, and upload it to their site. Also, you can get an official copyright for your site (I think it's 75 USD to register), and if someone copies your site, you can get an infringement lawsuit and actually win some money.
  6. All you lose are 10 hosting credits like lamode said...all your files and databases are still safe.
  7. Okay, I've decided, after seeing a bunch of good sigs on the net, especially some from a kid named "Johnny", that I want to learn this whole Photoshop dealy. I know sites like good-tutorials and pixel2life are good places to start, but often, the tutorials there stink. I mean, all they show you are step by step processes on how to make your sig, but they don't tell you why they're doing it that way.Where did you guys start on learning the ways of the CS? Did tutorials do it for you? Did you use books? I need sources of which I could leech so I could receive awesome criticisms like you, too.I've also seen talks about "renders" and "brushes" around here....what are those? Thanks in advance!!
  8. Whoa whoa! This thread is closed. P00ru, if you don't know something, research it first, then if you can't find the answer, make a post here.Everybody else, when there is a question like this, PM the thread creator if you know the answer is not suitable for all ages.Thank you.
  9. That won't work. FTP addresses start with ftp.xxx.trap17.com here at Xisto. Well, tariq, I don't know what else to tell you....try talking to one of the admins about your problem....
  10. No problem. Yes, you have to upload all your pics to the public_html folder in order to see them. Basically, your website base is the public_html folder. You can also make directories, too. For example, you can make a folder called images in your public_html folder, and upload all your images there. Then, you can view your images by typing into your browser: yoursite.trap17.com/images/image.jpg or something like that...
  11. Okay, you changed the title, but it's not a tutorial whatsoever. I suggest you move it to the Softwares forum....
  12. For starters, this forum (the tutorials forum) is for tutorial submissions - not to ask questions. You have to post in the Hosted Members Area for that (which I have moved). Second, do you have .html or .htm files from frontpage? You probably have those...so what you want to do is find the feature called "File Manager" in your cPanel. Click on File Manager. A window should pop up. In that window, there should be a bunch of file and folder names. Click on the icon of public_html. Now, find a file called index.html and click on its name. Now, a menu should appear in the top right hand pane of the File Manager window. Find the option called Delete File or something similar (it should be called Delete File if I'm correct). Click on Delete File. In the bottom right hand of the File Manager window, click on the trash can. Now, in the left pane, click on Upload File(s). You can click on the big black arrow or the word - it doesn't matter. You should be taken to a page with a bunch of text boxes. Click on Browse for one of the textboxes and browse for the initial starting page[/b] of your site - it should be called "index.html" or "index.htm" or "main.html" or "default.html" or something very similar. Double click on that file. The browse window should disappear now. Finally, click the Upload button at the bottom to upload it. To view the file that you just uploaded, go you yoursite.trap17.com/[file you just uploaded] (get rid of the brackets when typing this into the URL). Good luck!
  13. I've taken care of the double threads.Personally, I don't think it's a bug, but rather, the creator of the threads were too impatient too wait. In other words, it was a connection failure type thing.
  14. That site is meant to be a joke from Google. Also, there is another thread here: http://forums.xisto.com/index.php?shol=google+hacked
  15. Google would never be hacked. Check it out here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/
  16. I'll give it a 5/10.The entire layout is nice, but I like it better when users design their entire site layout by themselves. In your case, you used PHPNuke. The reason for this is that if you used a CMS to design your site, then you're really taking the fun out of web development. Also, using a program like PHPNuke can make anyone look good which is why I like sites designed from scratch because it shows who's man and who's boy.Second, the shoutbox seems way out of place. I'd say stick it to the side where shoutboxes belong. If you can, try to change to shoutbox colors to match the site because it looks like you're trying to shove the shoutbox in users' face.Everything else is awesome! I especially like the corners or the login box. Nice!
  17. Oh. Well, thanks for the site! I'm gonna save the URL to my computer, so I won't forget it. Thanks again.
  18. Actually, at the rate that it's increasing, you'll only get around 100 MB a day....you get 3.456 MB a day, and if you multiply that by 30 (roughly 30 days in a month), you'll get around 100 MB a month. In a year, you'll get more than 1 Gig. Also, yahoo! is bound to make its inbox like Google to compete. Think about it. Within a month of gmail's debut, yahoo boosted its inbox to 250 MB to compete with Google, so chances are that yahoo will only get better with time.
  19. Balloon Duel is a game where you battle other players (a computer) and rise through the ranks. After each battle, you get money depending what rank your opponent was, and how fast it took you to kill your opponent. You get more money if you battle computers in higher ranks. To kill your opponent, you have to pop their balloons, and the game will show you how to do that. Once you have collected enough money, you can buy weapons such as angel wings, devil wings, flame throwers, and much, MUCH more! You can also dress up your character to have different hair styles, different clothes, and different balloons. Once you have played long enough, go to Data, and you can export your data so you can come back and play again anytime! Don't worry if this sounds a little complicated...the game will explain everything you need to know. Check out this action shot of me in the game (I'm the with the green balloon): Post your score and rank below (can be found in the cockpit in the upper right hand corrner) Play the game here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Edit: Silly me, I forgot the URL
  20. Yes, all the files and data from the Army System at Xisto will be transfered to ipbgaming.com, so there is no need to start over.
  21. Tariq, I'm not sure, but I do know that I am able to access my files through FTP...The problem could be because of your FTP manager. What FTP manager are you using? I'm using WS_FTP Pro to transfer my files to my site....Did you contact OpaQue and ask?
  22. OpaQue's response can be found here: http://forums.xisto.com/topic/21489-why-suspended/ By the way, Buffalo, that's an interesting story you have. One more thing, BlackIce sucks as a firewall. It got the lowest score in all firewall reviews. The only "good" thing about it is its name. Just a heads up.
  23. The only way in which you can update to Wordpress 1.5 is if Fantastico install Wordpress 1.5, and to get that, the admins will have to get a new version of Fantastico which will cost money.I would just recommend that you backup the MySQL database that Wordpress is using, and go to the official website, and download Wordpress 1.5. Then, import the database to Wordpress 1.5, and every entry that you've made should be restored. :(This is what I had to do with my Nucleus blog, and it only took me 30 minutes to get everything up and running again.Good luck!!
