  1. Yeah it would actually. Thanks for posting an alternative! I would use a better naming techniques for my sigs, but I don't want to waste my bandwidth.
  2. I know what you mean. The amount of space advertised is not always true. After buying two computers with "80 GB", they all came with around 5 gigs less. I have no idea why, but my best guess is backup issues. :-/
  3. 1st sig: I don't like the stroke on the render and the font. Borders always spice up sigs Why is the text cut off like that? The background doesn't go with the render. Try darkening it a bit. 6/10 2nd sig: Nice grungy background. Needs to be darker in my opinion Border's a must When using pixel fonts, turn off anti-aliasing 6.8/10 Edit: Fixed my Bbcode. Why? Because I have the power.
  4. 6 point frickin' 5?! Aww! And when did Brooks say it was flat? All he said that the render was dark. Unless you guys talked about my sig on MSN or something.... I don't like blending renders in all the way because it just looks weird if the render's head or something is transparent. Don't you agree? Are you talking about a black stroke on the render or on the font? Edit: Added that last bit
  5. See? I knew I'm not the only one who don't consider Indians Asians! w00t. And just so you know, not all Asians are terrible drivers. All women are. My parents just hate all black people in general. I mean, they like Colin Powell, but they hate the obnoxious rappers who drive around in their car with the windows down and rap music blaring.
  6. Nice tech sig you got there. Perhaps adding a tech border along with that might make it better. The font color is not the best. Perhaps fill it a little so that it's easier to read?7/10
  7. Brooks told me that I should lessen the fill on the text, but I had already closed my Photoshop when he said that, and I was too lazy to open it again. :-/ What do you think?
  8. [1]They're called typos. The things that make them are called "humans." [2]You win a cookie [3]I got my brushes from this tutorial: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/. Here's the zip file of the brushes: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ [4]You never know. Michael is weird in the head. [5]I actually won't care if you insult my sigs because I have Asian parents, and if you know anything about Asian parents, then you should know that they call you stupid and every other insulting stuff when you're not perfect. I've gotten used to it by now.
  9. Hmm, how many renders are in each package? I just wanna know if each is high resolution or not. If there are like 3 in an 8 MB package, then I might consider downloading...
  10. :-/ You've been doing this longer than all of us. :-/
  11. I can't believe I didn't vote on this one.All right, Brook's sig is monotone, but I like that one better than muksimp's. His text just doesn't match the theme of the sig although the blending is quite good.So now do we close this thread and move it over the Finished Battles?
  12. The background is good, and I think that the scanlines definately made it better. Brook's opinion could differ though. Render could have been blended in better though. Since you have a four letter name, I bet that you could have made your the font huge, so there would be no blank spots on the sig.6.9/10
  13. The text killed it, dude. Comic sans is supposed to be a friendly type of font, and floating skeletons are not friendly at all.The other stuff are good.7.8/10
  14. Have you ever heard of the wonderful punctuation mark called the period? I could think of 1000 places in your post above where you could have inserted a period. Michael, Mike, Mikey, if you have read Brook's tutorial like me, then you would know that the majority of the "steps" are actually different techniques of coloring. In other words, Brook's tutorial was not like the ones on good-tutorials where they show you step-by-step. He did not give specific settings to use. Brook's tutorial was more like a "choose your own ending" type of tutorial. If you'd read it, you'll know. There is a spot on the sig where I played with lasso brushing. See if you can find it. And yes, I know what came out was plain. New brush packs will probably make it not plain. We'll see. And how is a ruler going to improve my brushing?? And Brooks, I was kinda making fun of strawberrie when I crossed out "made fun"... If you want to give me the cruel truth on my sigs, do so, but just include how I can improve.
  15. Actually, the underline part in my post above is a link. It seems like Kubi didn't give us his vote yet.
  16. [1]I agree whole-heartedly. [2]Refer to number 1. But seriously, there are some monotone sigs and sigs without tones. I think you should go into all your sig posts and look for ones with high ratings and use those instead. [3]You mean you see a new sig on Michael's signature on each of his post? Even if there are 2 posts on 1 page? But you see the same sig for all my posts on a page? Hmm, the latter seems to be true for Michael and me....weird. Your computer is messed up. Get a new one.
  17. Here are some useful links: http://alistapart.com/article/dropdowns http://alistapart.com/article/horizdropdowns Here's a whole bunch conveniently listed on Google: https://www.google.com/search?q=menu%20dropAalistapart.com
  18. *cough* Good GrIEf Graphics *cough* I think they found "better hosting." You know how people be. They want the best things on everything. Too bad they don't know anything about "overselling."
  19. I stopped viewing the shoutbox when they added the auto-refreshing feature. It's quite annoying because when you're writing something, all 5 shouts just go away for a few seconds, and when they come back, there are no new shouts.
  20. Actually, there are 18 (counting the one in the title ). And congratulations on being hosted. As long as you don't spam us, then I don't see why you shouldn't get approved, but if you wanted a challenge, then you should have joined Xisto. I decided to randomly read an application, and to my surprise, the person did NOT get hosting. It's more strict at Xisto than it is here, but you cannot apply there now since you can only have 1 account at xisto.
  21. Bah! Brushing is not hard at all. As long as you have the right brushes, then you could make any sig background look good. Just "stamp" a couple here and there and play with the color balance a little, and you've got yourself a sweet background.
  22. I disagree. My site gets 2000 unique visitors on weekdays and 500 unique visitors on weekends. I put ads on my site (there are ads on every single page), and my site is not that great graphics-wise, but I still get more visitors than what most could hope. As long as you don't overdo the ads, then you should still get visitors. That's nice. Really nice. ...you can't make a porn site with Xisto free hosting anyway, so that's out of the question.
  23. What ever happened to the good ol' "HAHAHA" laugh? Why does yours have to be so evil...evertime?
