  1. Would not the friction due to so many generators require additional power to pump the water. Anyway great idea. Though not everyone , but at least those with tanks on the roof can keep them and use them. And if we find a way to reduce the friction, maybe everyone can.
  2. Treatment of Acne is a three pronged approach. Vitamin A , an antibiotic and keeping the face dry are usually required.
  3. I would ask you to wait. Microsoft is thinking of a price reduction. It could cost nearly 100 dollars less. SO then you would have no better choice. Or you could get both Xbox 360 and Wii and still spare a lot of money over the PS3.
  4. Funny it doesn't end with a note that asks you to spread this email or else the same would befall you.
  5. All these transformation packs don't come even close to the real thing. I have used them and all they are a compilation of applications which change your theme, the way your folders look and the logon screens. They however definitely improve the visual appeal of Windows Xp albeit at the cost of slower stat ups and shutdowns.... Yeah like Vista
  6. Apple has released Safari, the popular browser for Macs to Windows XP and Vista. Delivering his keynote address at WWDC, Steve Jobs announced the release. It can be downloaded at http://www.apple.com/safari/ First hand the browser looks good and very Mac like similar to iTunes. It is shown on the website to be faster than IE and Firefox. (Opera not compared) Howerver like Firefox, it is a resource hog. One digg page with around 700 comments took up 108 MB of my RAM. It is quicker than Firefox but not Opera. Anyway it is beta release. But does this pave the way for Dashboard and widgets on Windows? We don't need them anyway. Google Desktop does fine. The other highlights of were the features of the next version of their OS , Leopard. Which looks simikar to Windows Vista with all the transparencies. But it has a Finder which shows results with Coverflow and Quicklook , which shows your documents without the need to open a program. Another interesting feature is the Core animation.. This is perhaps the killer app.
  7. I would definitely smile and die..... unless someone tries to override it...
  8. Man, It sounds like a great idea but will it work? It is a direction in which social networking seems to be headed. Since lot of blogs actually are really autobiographies, this may be the place where they all converge. Sounds great but we have to make it work. With the Wiki format, I think it would be a great mimimalistic version. Keep up the good work dude.
  9. Anyday it would be Google. Yahoo doesn't even come close. Accuracy is Google's hallmark. I have not used Yahoo in years since I don't need to. I dont even wanna give it a shot. Google is simple , easy to use and with its various search modes it is brilliant. Just ask what " 20 Rupees in US dollars" is and see for yourself.
  10. Mail at yahoo has just gotten bigger. I opened my email today to find the the usual space bar missing and instead it said you have unlimited space. Yahoo was teasing us since several days and now it has finally done it. This is however not new. Rediff.com , an Indian website has been offering unlimited space since a few months. I guess this is gonna be the new standard. Wonder what Google is gonna do though. I am guessing one day there would be no more bytes counting on the Gmail webpage but something about us not needing that anymore. Anyway I guess they have realised that lots of people dont use more than 10 to 50 MB of their alloted space and only a very few the world over use much larger mailbox. And with the attachment size just around 10 Mb it is gonna take a long time to fill up their servers. So this should be a brillliant ploy to get new users. For me my Gmail is enough, now that it is offering 20 MB atachments. Wat say you guys????
  11. Lets bump this topic and see how many guys are using the same phone now. I was using a Nokia 7600 till recently . Now I am using Nokia 2600
  12. Wow I thought this was an anti war topic. Guess not. Anyways America would definitely have been better of without war. Never before was it so divided on any policy. It is the Bush administration that has done that and not the Democrats.
  13. I am really surprised to see so many people who use MSN. I tried it once but I hated it. But that was then. I don't bother about it now because i use gtalk and yahoo and all my friends do the same. Between these two I have to choose Gtalk. It is simple without any unnecessary extras. I only miss the smilies. The voice chats are clearer, require less bandwidth and it requires much lesser memory than Yahoo messenger. As I also use orkut and Gmail, gtalk is a very good tool to keep track of my email and scraps. All in all I find it easier and better to use.
  14. Well said... Correct your own problems before trying to conquer others. But I don't think there is much hope here anyway.
  15. Thats true about Hyderabad too. Pretty much as soon as a fight starts , people are called on cell phones and it just grows bigger and bigger.
  16. EA games is all set to announce the revival of the widely popular Sim City in the next Games for Windows magazine. How many of you guys have played this wonderful game and would love to try the new one?
  17. School is very much necessary , otherwise you would never know what you are up against. School is an important place to bond, cooperate and see how things actually work. At least primary schooling is absolutely necessary. After that it depends on a person's talent I guess but still most need to continue in school.
  18. It would be pretty dull without the internet. Internet is now quite a necessary tool. A large part of our lives today depend on it. From applying to college to staying in touch with friends. It has made the world a much smaller place. Without the internet maybe I would be still watching tv.
  19. You grow very addicted, right? Maybe its the endorphins.
  20. I love playing this game too.. but i love using the cheats Anyways good tips . And continue playing
  21. I would say both US and Putin are out of line. US for acting like every country is a threat to it and Putin for bringing back Cold War mentality. But poor thin what else could he do. The US is simply aggravating tensions here. The sooner this stand off dies down the better.
  22. Its out on June 29. And Apple executives are dead worried whether it would live upto the hype. Being the first of its generation, there is a chance that it may invite a backlash if it doesn't live upto people's expectations. ALso it comes witha 2 year compulsory agreement with AT&T. The battery and sim card can't be taken out or seen. It would anyway have a great opening with iPhones being very hard to find in store shelves. But would it continue like the iPod. As for me , I'd rather wait for the next generation of iPhone than spend a whole lot of bucks on this. Then there might be better options, 3G, usability on any network , and a much lower cost. Because after the excitement dies down I sure am gonna be disappointed with this one.
  23. theres a google desktop gadget that allows you to do that. For free. Its called callwave. callwave.com also works i think.
  24. PC rocks!!!!! But PS3 is definitely a meaner machine than xbox 360... But coming more than a year after xbox 360, it got delayed a lot.... and din't deliver much increase in performance. Id say both suck. We could have had better. PS3 costs a bomb... way too high. Stupid on Sony's part.
