  1. I dint know where to put this, so I chose this sub forum. But I need an invitation badly. Does anyone here have one? Please send me one to uoqQ5F9E5amIXWZp@spambox.us
  2. Yeah the results have been out for quite sometime now. But there is trouble already with the UNESCO first distancing and then slamming the list. It believes all the ancient monuments deserve to be protected and lists such as these are unscientific. But we have to agree that this is good way of choosing which monuments people like most although there are bound to be worldwide differences. But again the 100 million votes are very miniscule.
  3. OK here is the deal. Moto Razr V3 has iTunes. To transfer songs into the phone you therefore have to use iTunes much like iPods. Mp3 cannot be used as ringtones though.
  4. I have not used ATI anytime but there are issues with the NVIDIA cards I have used. At the higher end I dont think there would be much of a difference between the two> BUt with Vista ATI works better. As for SLi, ATI cards can also be used two at a time thanks to Crossfire. The only thing that should matter is price if you are using XP.
  5. Ok... Has any user on this forum bought the undoubtedly overhyped iPhone? If yes , could you share your user experience? The problem is I can't buy one even if I want too. Apple has always been myopic. Well, most companies are. I still feel that launches should occur worldwide at the sametime when the product is being hyped worldwide. But that is not the question, is it? iDay has come and gone. iPhones still remain on Apple and AT&T stores. So were the sales as good as predicted? Was Apple just too well prepared to deal with the initial rush? Or was it a disappointment? Reading from the reviews which were mostly positive, I think iPhone is a pretty good success. Maybe just for the US. Reviews have been telling me that its 2 megapixel camera is one good reason to buy it.... Wait a minute.. 2 megapixel was the standard last year.. This year it is a fossil. Pretty much every cam phone that is released these days has that. The cam has no other options. You just cannot adjust it. No brightness control. No color balance. No nightmode. Onto the browser. Held by many as the killer app, Apple boasts that this shows web pages as webpages not a toned down version. But guess what.... there is no flash... What? A webpage without flash? Thats pretty much what you get with a 'toned down version' of the internet. The killer app may actually be something else... The visual voicemail. Thats the feature iPhone has that other phones don't have... Well other than the multitouch screen, accelerometer, proximity sensor (Matrix, anyone) iPod with coverflow and as of now Youtube. The voicemail shows you how many messages you have instead of you hearing it. All in all iPhone fans wont be disappointed and iPhone critics wont be disappointed either. Either way it works. Now I am waiting for iPhone 2.0.. Well that one would definitely have flash support, 3G, a videocam, a normal headset , and wont have the unnecessary AT & T baggage. That is an iPhone I would wanna buy.But unlike me, there must be someone here who has bought an iPhone. Please share your experiences here.
  6. Thats the thing that differentiates a computer from a mobile.. A mobile always asks you to choose. If u wanna be infected or not The solution is therefore simple. Choose no.
  7. Cool man. Very good idea. Read about it somewhere but didn't know the process. Thanks for theinfo
  8. As far as I am concerned, they are equal. Ok, they may be better in doing some jobs than the other , but at the end of the day, they are working to do better in this world and thats it. We are equal.
  9. Man, I so wish I was a software engineer. Would definitely have given it a try. Alas , I am not... So I would do what every other guy does... Play games.
  10. There are privacy issues being raised over this. With Google considering everything on outside your home public, there are bound to be issues. Several images have been found which include girls in bikinis etc and patrons of adult shops also have been clicked on street view.Anyway Google always removes images if reported. But this necessarily shows the direction we are heading. The day is not far off when Streetview Live woud be open and we would have to be locked in our homes to avoid being watched.
  11. cool man its working but the cursor is too slow.
  12. I too picked up this article a few days ago on digg and I found it quite hilarious. But still with its built in anti spyware it is more secure than XP. But one thing that needs to be said is Windows is by far the largest used operating system and it attracts more hackers than any other OS. Maybe 99.9 % of them. Linux generally is used less and with a new version or different release of Linux every other day hackers usually cannot exploit it much. The same is the case with Mac OS X. Their Safari browser had so many loopholes ( it was a beta release though) , which were found immediately as it released the browser to Windows. Perhaps that is the reason why Apple is not willing to alter it packaged model. Because then, since there would be more users , there could be more chances of exploits into its loopholes , which would anyway be very hard considering its Unix heritage. Microsoft is therfore doing a pretty good job currently. I have had no virus attaks ever. And no spyware too. An average joe would do better learning how to protect his Windows prior to buying a PC. As far as I am concerned I am more than happy with my Windows XP.
  13. But yeah the borders must definitely be tightened to keep illegal immigrants tightened. But those who have entered with proper credentials, you can't fight them out.
  14. Hey.. UK plundered most of the countries the asians are now sending their money to. You didn't have a problem then. At least maybe your forefather's din't have. Since you didn't exist then. No country can keep its doors closed any longer. So gotta improve yourself to do better in competition or live with it.
  15. Religion , as always is a personal choice. It should not be forced upon anyone. Atheism too is a belief that is a personal choice. It too should not be forced upon anyone. However both should be allowed to air their opinions but not force them down your throat. And if you get sick of reading or listening to them, stop doing that.
  16. Ha ha interesting read. Maybe we could check back on your advice in some 1000 or even more years.... Being sarcastic? hmm maybe.. but still it was really interesting
  17. Which company and make is that phone? I would never buy something like that though even if I had the money. It may mean something more when given as a gift but otherwise I am happy just making calls and texting with my cell phone. Guess that one can't do anything more than mine.
  18. This has been the concern since long. The problem is actually with the ISPs. They are able to provide cheap broadband services because the average user doesn't do bittorrent downloads or watch high quality streaming videos all day. So, they can provide hi speed internet access to the 10% high end users without upgrading their networks and servers much. But the trend may well be changing. With Youtube and hardware like Nintendo Wii and Apple Tv, there are gonna be only high end users. This could lead to server crashes and so called collapse of the internet. But there is hope and it is believed to be yet again Google. Google is said , though without much credible evidence, to be setting up several bases across the US to hold high speed servers. So they can provide bandwidth to ISPs. However again there is no true evidence of this but it could be a useful direction for Google.
  19. I use Bitlord and it is the best. No download problems at all. Gives me the best download speeds even if i upload at the lowest possible speed.
  20. This has led to rised tensions reaching the level of nearly the infamous Cold War. Both the countries have to back down. Us doesn't have immediate threat of a nuclear missile attack against it and Russia is simply asserrting itself.
  21. Yeah seat belts do save lives. Airbags...hmmm yeah they kill more perhaps but improvements will surely be made in their design.
  22. Shouldn't it be the other way round? I mean your sentence. I got confused. Thats why. You work out more muscles when you smile.
  23. I just don't like the idea of other species being more intelligent than us and all. Why should beings on Mars be more intelligent than us? Why can't life have started here itself. It is surely the most conducive of all planets we have known. I don't know I just think it is really absurd to think that beings on other planets have to be more intelligent than us.
  24. I would want both. XBOX 360 for its graphics and Live features. And Wii, man thats a whole new teritorry. LOts of small games with its excellent controller and oh the Opera browser....
