I wonder why it doesn't work with my firefox... When I click "Start Google Web Accelerator", it just stays at the next screen forever. Does it work for any of you with firefox out there?
-
Hmm, Gookle doesn't exist anymore. I've tried going there, but the domain seems to have expired. Maybe they realized that not many people went to that site, so they quitted.

Haha, i just clicked submit on the first time and got banned... :(I'm going to try something else now... >

Planetary Experiment 4th planet made so far...
szupie replied to zorlen's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Wow, I really thought you made that with 3ds max... But doing it with photoshop would just be amazing! How did you map the earth to look 3d? or was the picture you used already 3d-like? -
dXbLauReNdXb (wow, great name), if you can't get into the administrator account, you can't do anything about it to change it. Unless you hack in or something... You might have to install windows on your computer again to gain access...And jet, you're right, it is the hotkey that brings up the process manager.

And if you can't get out of the dark, try the (***spoiler***) lights! And there should be something in your gown that could help you with the headache. I have only gotten up onto the spaceship right now, I'm a bit too busy to play the game...

Mail Is No Longer Working? All mail is returned to sender
szupie replied to VJgamer1405241488's topic in General Discussion
Your mail account? You mean your own server on your Xisto account? Or is it your mail account on yahoo, gmail, hotmail, etc.?If your own mail server, sorry, I can't help you there... :(If it's one you registered somewhere, it's probably just temporary. -
lacking_imagination: I just read on a site that the movie is just another different edition of the hitchhiker's guide, like the tv series, the radio stuff and the book. They're all basically different versions of the same story. kurt18th: I found the game on an abandon ware site called Oldgames.org. Here's the link. It's free, you don't have to buy it (If you did, you got ripped off.). It's a great game! The link dream gave is the same game in flash version with added images. I don't think it can be downloaded, so if you have a slow connection, the game would go slower for you.

Hmmm... I hope they try to make a version of google toolbar that's compatible with Firefox soon... A lot of people use Firefox and are using the unofficial toolbar released by the googlebar group at mozdev (not Google). The unofficial one actually looks pretty nice with many functions, but the Google released version should be better.

Please Delete My Hosting Account i moved to your paid hosting
szupie replied to blix1405241486's topic in Web Hosting Support
Thank you for switching to the paid hosting! I think the best thing to do to your account is just to leave it open so that you can post with it. We need your help to make this forum even better! But, it's your and OpaQue's choice, I'm just commenting. -
Yes, it's called the increasingly inaccurately named trilogy because it has 5 books. Thanks for the link! And jet, was the movie based on just the first book, or multiple of the books? I'm a bit curious...

Cassy, I'm trying to look for another free DNS service provider too... But I wouldn't give up hope on uni.cc, as they said they would try to bring back DNS as soon as possible. I have an old DNS registered, but I have wanted to change the name since before Feburary.I hope something comes up soon.

Recovering Files From Raw Partitions Reinstalled Windows...
szupie replied to szupie's topic in Websites and Web Designing
OK, I have given up trying to recover my 3d and flash works... I've used multiple programs to get my files back, but none of them could successfully give me my 3ds max files, and none of them even know what a flash file is. I tried to use Recover My Files to find my 3d files, but it took more than 72 hours to scan less than half of my D drive, and my computer frequently went down in the middle of scans, making me have to restart the scan again. I found most of my other less important files with EasyRecovery Pro. It's an ok program...Well, I guess I'd have to be more careful with my files in the future... I must frequently back up. -
Why Is Astahost Loading Slow ?
szupie replied to l337 Nurse Pedestrian's topic in Websites and Web Designing
So, it's the generator that's slow, not the connection of the server? Can't it be fixed or something to make it faster? It takes like 10 seconds to reload a page... -
I've never played it, but I'd like to... I've never heard of a text game that's not free, though... The Hitchhiker's Guide trilogy is funny.

Photoshop Tutorial: Abstract Brushing Techniques
szupie replied to zorlen's topic in Graphics, Design & Animation
Wow, really nice tutorial... Where did you learn to do that? It looks really good, not noob-like (I can't find a better description ). Your tutorial would look much nicer if you put the images on the page, instead of linking to them. -
Wow, we've got some nice banners... I like Dream's and Digi's the best. I vote for them.

Recovering Files From Raw Partitions Reinstalled Windows...
szupie replied to szupie's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Ok, found it. It's the only freeware for recovery I've came upon, and it's also the only one that lets me see a preview of my D drive. I've tried EasyRecovery Professional Trial and Recover My Files before, those didn't work too well, especially EasyRecovery.I always get this NT_read error when I use PC Inspector to search my D drive, sayingerror no.23drv:128 LBA:27389278 blocks:8Abort, Retry or Ignore?Everytime I click any of the 3 buttons, the dialog closes, PCI pauses for a few seconds, then the dialog pops up again. I'd have to close the whole PCI to stop it from popping up again. Anyone know what's wrong? The error no., drv and blocks never change, but the value of LBA changes slightly. -
Recovering Files From Raw Partitions Reinstalled Windows...
szupie replied to szupie's topic in Websites and Web Designing
Hmm, I've read that article of yours, vujsa, even replied to it. But I didn't know Windows could ignore my D drive after a new install... And yes, I did do the full format only for C drive. Do you know of any way to make Windows recognize D's format? I thought the techinician was wrong, too, when he said that Windows automatically formats the D drive too.Jipman, I'm searching for PCI now... -
My dad defragmented my Windows system drive recently, then I noticed that the computer was going really slow, but there was no big process running. So I restarted my computer, and after the bios, it couldn't load into windows!!! There was no access to any operating system at that point, not even my linux, so there was no non-really-really-difficult way to backup my Data drive... We called the Dell techinicians, and they tried to help, but in the end we still had to reinstall windows. So, I formatted my C Drive and installed windows on it (The formatting part took like 7 hours ). Finally, we got Windows back, but we couldn't access the D Drive because windows says that it is raw. The Dell techinicians said that when I installed windows on C, it would automatically format D drive too. Is that true? Anyway, the main question is how can I recover my files on the D drive? Can the files be still in their directories when I get them back? Can I just tell Windows to recognize it as formatted?

As musichere said, it is possible with windows XP's windows explorer. It can only burn cd-r though, which is what spickid's friend can only do. It doesn't burn cdrw or any dvd. It's quite a nice tool though, not bad.

Good News!!! uni.cc came back up yesterday, April 2! The site is up, but they say that they will not begin to accept domain registrations until April 5th. At least now the wait is definite!

Yeah, gmail invitations are worth nothing now, now that almost everyone has them and can invite others... I even remember seeing on this forum a link to a page where you can just signup for an account without an invitation...

Disposable Phone Facias that grow sun flowers
szupie replied to Seaworm's topic in Science and Technology
Hmm, interesting... What are phone facials? I've never heard of that thing, perhaps I'm too ignorant... Why don't they just plant seeds themselves? It'd be a lot easier to just plant them than to put them into plastic for others to "plant" it, isn't it? Also, some trash aren't thrown away into soil that's capable of nourishing plants, so most seeds won't even have a chance to start growing...
