  1. It was kinda hard to know what you were saying through all the typos... But I know what you're talking about. I've thought about a similar situation before, but still can't figure it out. I can think of 3 possible solutions to this:1. During this incident, 2 similar universes are created: one where Observer C is blind, one where he/she is not. (Actually, that wasn't really logical...) I don't remember if this is one of my own theories or one I've read about, but: there is a theory that at every instant, there are an infinite universes created, each is a different possibility of action (and even non-actions) of everything in the universe. As time goes on, these infinity universes multiply constantly, matching every possibility of everything.2. Because Observer B is moving at half of speed of light, time moves slower for him/her. The reason for Observer B to see the Laser move at speed of light is because time is moving faster outside of him even though he thinks it's normal speed. It's like playing a 2 year tape in 1 year's time to him. The tape would go fast, therefore the Laser seems relativly moving at speed of light. So, Observer B actually wouldn't see the Laser hit the Observer C, but still see the Laser move at speed of light. This might have sounded a little repetitive, but, hey, "repetition is the mother of learning"...But if anyone is still confused, I can explain this further...3. Eistein is wrong. The speed of light is not constant at every perspective. I mean, how did he prove that it is?Hmm, explaining my number 2 made me think clearer on the subject... Thanks, qwijibow!
  2. I think Google has something like that that's downloadable. And I think that, if I had remembered correctly, Windows Longhorn is going to have that feature also. I don't know if it's true or not, it's just something I think I've heard.
  3. Fire is a bit hard to capture... Most people do frame-by-frame with explosions and fires, and they look really impressive, but in my opinion, they are kinda hard to draw, especially if you don't have a pad-thingie. You might want to do frame-by-frame. Just look for some tutorials with google.
  4. Hmm, I'm sure there have been searching engines older than that. It all depends on what you call a search engine. There have been search engines that search around your computer for files before there were ones that search on the web.Oh, this reminds me... I remember when my dad used to have this book of all the sites on the Internet (with the capital I)... It's kinda weird now...
  5. Welcome, Trishtt!I am the one NilsC is talking about... Unfortunately ( ), I'm a boy, so I'm not one who can help you feel less alone. Though, I think there are maybe more than 5 females here.
  6. Hmm... Do you know how to add the thumbnails to the games? I can't find it in the Admin panel...musichere, I heard that recently, there was another update to the mod. The bugs might be fixed in the new one.
  7. What do you mean by making it 3d? Creating a box with the picture on it? Making a sphere with it? Or do you mean making the things in the picture look like they were 3d and real?
  8. No, I'm looking for an attribute that comes up when the object is unavailable... Well, I guess maybe there is no way to do that with html... I might try doing it with php.
  9. Umm. You only have one post in this forum, and it's posted after you posted this. Who are you, and what are you talking about? Where are you banned from? If we've lost you, why did you post another post after this one?
  10. I don't know what your script is and whether it creates databases for you or not. If it doesn't: 1. Log into Cpanel 2. MySQL Databases 3. You should see "MySQL Database:", then a box, then a button that says "Creat MySQL Database" somewhere on the page. Enter a name for your database and it will be created. Note that it will be named "<your cpanel name>_<the name you entered>". Your script should ask for your database name, just enter it (the full name, with the "cpanelname_" prefix). And it also most likely would create tables automatically. If it doesn't, it sucks. If you want to manage your tables, you can use the phpMyAdmin in your Cpanel. This lets you control everything in your databases. The "MySQL Databases" in your cpanel is just a quicker way to create databases.
  11. No, alt text is not the thing that comes up on hover. What do you mean by Flash menu? I don't think I've heard of it before.Maybe there's a tag that displays text when the object is not found. Maybe not.
  12. 50,000 years seem a bit too long... Humans would be lucky to survive another 10,000 years. Unless, the time capsule is meant for future life forms unlike humans. Then, it'd be interesting to see what would happen.Hmm, would the capsule get polluted in space all that time, and become an atomic bomb? Then, when it lands, it might destroy the entire civilization living in the future.
  13. My site is going to use a lot of Flash files pluged into the page. I embed it into the page like this: <object width="550" height="400"><param name="movie" value="flashfile.swf"><embed src="flashfile.swf" width="550" height="400"></embed></object> What I want to know is: Is it possible to give the object an alt text? Something like the alt="The Flash File" that is used in IMG tags is what I want. I've tried putting it inside the object tag, param tag and embed tag. That didn't work.
  14. qwijibow, I think that would seem possible. I believe in something close to that too, and I have somethings that could add to make your theory better. But, you may not think the same way I do, so what I say may not affect what you believe in, but maybe affect how someone else thinks of your theory. If this superbeing is imagining us, it could imagine us into a world with many boundaries, rules and even destiny. What it thinks, we do. Even though it is controlling all our thoughts, we are not aware of it, because the superbeing doesn't want us to know it, so it imagines that we don't know. Then, we would all be puppets of its imaginary world, destined to whatever the being thinks. When the being imagines us in a story and makes a mistake, it could take us back in time, erase our memories, and start over again. We will think that we have power to change things, but it is the being that controls everything we do.
  15. Wow, I would have thought that you modeled them by yourself. Again, the lighting is simply amazingly beautiful! I hope you get paid a lot doing things like this... I'm going try Cinema 4D and see what it can do!
  16. OK, I've finally found a solution to this problem in one of the Windows XP Newsgroups. You can read it here. So, all you have to do is go to your Registry, find the "Default" under "HKEY_CURRENT_USER", and delete its value if it's not set to "VALUE NOT SET". After I deleted my value, the sounds came back after a reboot. If anyone has a similar problem, but the value is not set to "VALUE NOT SET", I don't know how to help you...
  17. Heh, are those things expensive? If not, you could use them to freeze stuff after you break them! That would be fun...
  18. Wow, did you model them yourself? Did you use 3ds Max, Maya, Lightwave, etc.? The lighting on the last one was great!
  19. I've heard that some people has actually gotten free ipods with those ads, but I wouldn't go through all the trouble to try... Your e-mail might get infected with spam...
  20. An html generator is a program, or sometimes a script, that gives you short-cuts in coding your html page. It usually has a graphical interface that makes coding easier. But, these things usually add some unneccessary codes that just takes up parsing and loading time for no good reason. If it is free with no spyware, it means that you don't have to pay for it at all, and it doesn't contain a virus-like program that harms your computer.
  21. Actually, different computers have different short-cuts for those functions... Some people have F2 instead of F8, F12 instead of F10, etc... Wait, hold on... Those aren't short-cuts anyway! They're the only keys you can press for that function, aren't they?
  22. Yeah, I think it's theme you're using that changed the default Firefox picture. My Firefox logo is still the same. Besides, that logo looks to funky to be a Firefox logo . (I've used the word Firefox in 3 consecutive sentences now. Well, now it's 4.)
  23. Looks pretty good... What are those computers called, the ones Microsoft makes that's like a big touch screen monitor and can attach to legs to turn into laptops/desktops? Are those kind of like palms too? Do those have BlueTooth?
  24. I didn't think that it was the first and last letters that helped me understand, but rather the context the words were in. While I was reading a word in there, I kept thinking of the word that should follow. If the next word isn't what I thought it would be, I'd have to unscramble them manually. I cannot read the spanish one at all. Anyone know what the paomnnehal word was?
  25. No, they're still there, that's why I could play them in the configurations manually... I'm going to create a new account and see if the sound works on the new one... -----Merged the above to the below post-----szupie I was right, it does work on a new account! But I just don't know why... Any suggestions?
