MySQL Problem! Can't Connect To Server help
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to nightfox1405241487's topic in Programming
Good that you got everything set ... but it'd still be fun to know WHY it was happening like that.. If you can still trace the problem, try writing back. All the best,m^e -
Yup - it will be in the form of simple blocks with textures of windows/doors.. what i need in a 3D representation of building blocks (which can easily be depicted as rectangular blocks.. and in some cases need to fly-in into these buildings to show the cable channels (which again are rectangular blocks)...so you can see here my life's going to get quite rectangular over next few months...I'm already sleeping rectangles, eating some and drinking mostly too..

Bit Of A Porblem With Suspension...
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to Jguy101's topic in Web Hosting Support
How long has it been since you got your credits up ?? If it didn't get unsuspended even after a duration of 3-4 hours after your credits revival, let me know. Have to manually re-activate it then. -
Ordinarily I'm pretty lousy with dates - but since the asta calender reminds you very conveniently...and it came to my notice today, here goes:Wish you a very very HAPPY BIRTHDAY, wwheeler... This goes out on behalf of the whole of asta staff Have a wonderful year ahead.

Have you checked out the same buttons of SMF - they're awesome.. I wonder it THOSE can be ported to IPB (shouldn't be very diffcult). Would give it a massive look revamp...

How Long Have You Been Programming ?
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG's topic in Programming
Oh hell yeah - you surely won.. by a long shot.. For me it was some 16 years back.. just nearing your waist, agewise Yeah I do remember Fortran quite clearly having had loads of fun time with Fortran-77 myself.. also during those days we have a very barebone version of Prolog (Turbo Prolog) .. which resembled Turbo C 2.0 (Borland) very much... played around with that one too trying to create a medical diagnosis system. Oh dude, but I miss Gee Wiz BASIC (GWBASIC) the mooost... I'll never get rid of it.. I still have version 2.3 and 3.0 lurking around on my HDD. Those are the real memories man... -
No dude - am serious about this.. If you guys can come up with some real funky cool space age skin and yet keep each individual picture size small (increasing overall page load time) - we'll surely use it. But all the modding you do should be thematic.. everything should blend in together really well. Also for fun - and the credits I've been piling up more & more..

Here's a simple JavaScript code that will show/hide a div when clicked. Simply link this with a button instead of the text in the SPAN tag. This is the code used for the SPOILER BBCode. This can achieve the effect you're seeking with just minor adjustments. <script type='text/javascript'>mytagid = Math.floor( Math.random() * 100 ); document.write("<div style='margin: 3px;padding:4px;background:#fff;border:1px dotted #386898'><div id='"+mytagid+"_closed' style='display:none'>....This is the text I want to hide/show ........</div><br /><a href='#' onclick='toggleview("+'"'+mytagid+'_closed'+'"'+");return false;'><span style='font-size:smaller'>Read More...</span></a></div>"); document.close();</script>

Hi guys,????[/tab]I've to design this presentation to demonstrate the setup of our management system from scratch. For this I need to show them a 3D Flyby through their whole campus - including the conduit layouts for optic fibre and utp cables and how the the different nodes+servers on the various building blocks will interact with each other. A pretty complex demo - but not very difficult since most of it involves rectangular blocks of buildings and channels. [tab]Now apart from 3DSMax and Maya - what other less resource exhaustive software are out there that can help me create such a presentation ? Any suggestions ?Thanks,m^e

MySQL Problem! Can't Connect To Server help
miCRoSCoPiC^eaRthLinG replied to nightfox1405241487's topic in Programming
One question - is this a new installation or did you install it over an earlier version ? If so you'll need to run some table/privilege fixing routines. The error message table mysql.hosts doesn't exist clearly means that your installation was broken. All the tables under the database called mysql are created automatically with a basic set of rights - they are needed for normal functioning of mysql. As for your installation directory - if you didn't specify any during installation, it would by default install into /usr/bin/ - that's where all the mysql executables reside. Here's a list of the files that should be there: One thing that you can try without re-installing it is to run the command: CONSOLE shell> /usr/bin/mysql_install_db And then shell> /usr/bin/mysql_fix_privilege_tables See if this helps. Otherwise it seems your installation got badly messed up and only solution is to uninstall all and reinstall using the RPM packages from their site. Let me know how far you progressed. Regards, m^e -
I think they stopped dishing out the free download. The last copy I had grabbed was of Version 6.5 and ever since even I've failed to locate the download link. You go to their site, do all the signup bull$**** and get your login activated.. and... NO DOWNLOAD LINKS anywhere !!!! .. WTF ?? Unfortunately I don't have enough space online (nor a good enough internet link) - or else I'd have dumped the .iso for you somewhere. It's quite fast although I never figured out the RTOS functionality in it. It looks just like another linux/feebsd variant - but with a very tightly integrated and stable windowing system they call "Photon GUI".. very nice and classy.

Oh - quite possible If you come up with a good template, coding is no problem. There are plenty of us here (and of course our PHP-Gurus OpaQue and Vujsa) .. and then us .. :POn second thoughts - we should really do it. This could very well be our first ever in-house project. All this while we'd been dying to start on one - but just not getting the right start. This will provide good enough impetus to carry on, apart from being a good exercise of the muscle lovingly known as the "brain"

Hell yeah - awesomely innovative. I wonder what kind of lightning strikes these people that they come up with such ideas.. and why does the lightning miss me by a mile everytime -
Hey how cool - I did my college in Phetchaburi.. hehe.. nice. One thing for sure, the communications system here has progressed really well - and you can find internet in some of the remotest villages too. I've no clue where your house is located in Ayutthaya, but it's a big city and has internet all over - pretty much. Don't think you'll have problems starting off here..All the best ;)m^e
