Another case of a host overselling it's service to an outrageous point, and the people who are hosted with them ultimately feel the wrath. If it's TOO good to be true, it probably is. The reason Xisto is able to do what it does is because.1. Opaque ACTUALLY cares. Unlike hundreds and thousands of other hosts' owners who do not care about the people they host.2. Posting, in turn, earns you Mycent which helps fuel the Trap forums.So yeah... make sure you know who you host with. There are tons of crappy hosts who say they can offer you great web features, when they really can't offer you CRAP.

Is this a trick question?Windows Vista is better for many reasons. I mean even though windows vista had it's compatibility issues it could still play more games then Linux O.S.'s have ever been able to. If Linux Distributers started supporting and working with game company's to make the games compatible with there o.s. I would consider using Ubuntu and the like more.But Windows Vista has so many more ups than Ubuntu.

Well it would actually be a good move on Microsofts part because right now you almost have to have quick time for movie files or w/e you happen to be watching that Quick time can run the file extension for. This means one less application you have to install when you download iTunes.

There are two things you can do Continue being the pushover that you are and allowing these immature teens harass and insult every move you make. OR Take some action. You know... there are always going to be people like this in your life. Those whose main objective is to embarrass others, to gain notoriety, make themselves look better to others, or to make themselves feel better. You need to realize that ignoring people like this is just going to make the situation worse. You might say, "Hey.. there are only a couple months of school left, I'll just let these people ridicule me for the reminder of the year." What you should say is, "How can I make it so these people will STOP harassing me in a way that will show I am not another pushover that they can take advantage of." You need to think this way because High school is not the only place you will face people like this. In the business world, you'll run into folks who are exactly like the high school bullies. If you allow them to walk all over you, they will continue doing so with no mercy. So, you're probably wondering "Then what can I do?" You need to assert yourself. Tell these low-lives that you are not going to stand for the nonsense anymore. Look them straight in the eyes, and call them out for the cowards they truly are. You know, when people like this get called out for the things they truly are, most of the times they will stop whatever nuisance they have been causing you. Remember, to not make a ruckus or start a fight, or anything like that. There's a difference between asserting yourself, and trying to start a fight. And all this garbage about 'ignoring them' or 'pretending they don't exist', well ignore that crap. That stuff will only make you look like a defensive loser that lets people walk all over them. Do you really want to be known as a pushover who lets people walk all over you? Of course you don't, and I don't think anybody does either.

This has nothing to do with the OP's question. Even if these allegations are true, his question still remains as to why Xisto has not responded to his emails. All I can say in this case is to be patient. They will get to your ticket as they are able to. If the situation is of bigger circumstances then a tech admin like Opaque will most likely need to deal with it. If the ticket relates to something of less importance as a tech question, then it will most likely be answered relatively quicker.

Hey thanks for your reply. I was a little cranky when replying to the other person's post, didn't mean to sound rude or anything. To answer your questions though. CompleteThoughts took awhile to develop to the forum it is today. I, myself, cannot take much credit to it's abstained forum statistics, but I am proud of how far the place has come. As for the links you are talking about, those are indeed paid links. People have paid me to put those links on the header of my site for a specific amount of time. I think it was something like 5-10 dollars per month or so.

We're right around the corner from Halo Wars' release, Ensemble's RTS take on Bungie's Halo universe. I thought the idea was intriguing at first, so I eagerly downloaded the demo when it was put up on the Xbox Live Marketplace.However, I was not impressed in the least. Bare in mind, I'm not the best RTS player, but I still enjoy them from time to time, but I could not get into this demo. I also still had trouble maneuvering around an RTS interface using a controller rather than mouse and keyboard.The cut scenes are nice though, I'll give it that.

I think my new favorite is Fallout 3. I had no idea the Fallout series even existed until Bethesda started working on the third game, and it wasn't until after I actually spent a few hours with the game that I realized how awesome it is.It has such an undeniable, odd charm to it that keeps me waiting for more surprises, and who doesn't like running around bashing brains out with a sledgehammer?

Call of Duty, more specifically Call of Duty 4, is one of my favorite games out there, possibly my favorite FPS. I wouldn't go as far to say it's the best, but it's near the top. The series has greatly helped evolve first person shooters.

The servers itself hosting our websites and Xisto - Web Hosting clients website is fine, and speed is comparable to major hosts. In terms of the loading page of Xisto, then yes it is slow. But please take in consideration this; Xisto has over 300,000 posts and 50,000 members. Of course the speed of the site is going to be much slower then others because of this. Furthermore, the Mycent script most likely causes considerable lag as it sends data over to our xisto accounts.

Having a lot of topics isn't a turnoff, it actually makes it easy to find a suitable topic for one to post their thoughts in. If Xisto would delete all of these pots, not only would it make it harder for us users to find something to post in, but it would also hurt Xisto SEO because many topics that were linked to trap would be missing. Also, there has been numerous topics on this issue, and each has been addresses by a moderator. Next time, please do search for similar threads instead of posting a duplicate

Byethost is out to get money, not help serve the free web hosting community. Unlike Xisto, they offer crappy services to entice you the user to upgrade to their more professional ones. Their paid host isn't half bad. They do, of course, consequently oversell their services, but this is no different then their counterpart web hosts.

What are you saying? Your post is basically a bunch of rubbish put together. I'm suspecting just to get some Mycent.. hmm? Does anybody want to give some feedback that my site and I can work off of, instead of garbage that somebody posts just to earn a couple of dollars

All in all PSP doesn't want people to be able to install non commercial software on their psp's because it would require Sony to put it on the warranty that they would still fix something if you messed it up. They also don't allow this because it is there way to try and keep people from hacking to much on any of the games because hacking ruins the fun for the people that actually play the game for what it is and not for what it isn't. Also by not letting people put non commercial software on it it makes them un-responsible for what the user does with his or her PSP.

Agreed. As long as he isn't posting complete Nonsense like "w895082393492fhajsdhfsdfhkadsjfhsdfjh9" Then I don't get why it would matter whatsoever. A lot of his posts equal the posts of others, the only difference is he has been posting a lot more then them. Though Ash, Mycent is credited per character and not per posts, so it might be in your best interest to post bigger posts, then post a lot of them. That way you'd not only get more Mycent, people wouldn't complain the way they have just now

Honestly guys, I see nothing wrong with him posting. If he wants to post as much as he can, then by all means he should be allowed to do so. I think it should be up to the Xisto moderation staff to decide whether or not his posts are spam or not.

So you asked him out and he said no? What is it a good reason? I mean if a girl I liked asked me out, I would definitely say yes to that. That's the only thing throwing me off on your story. Like... it seems like he likes you because of the way he is acting around you, but the only thing I don't get is him no wanting to go out with you that one time.

I do not use that place anyway. Im glad they arent getting shut down because they are widely used, but yeah they are used by so many people that it would be a huge internet loss if they were to go away.

All your posts seem to be the same. I'm starting to no believe any of the nonsense you've been posting. Nonetheless... My reply to this is that she's your friends mother. If your friendship with this dude is anything, you won't go and try to get with his mother. It's just common sense to me. Even more, doing anything with her could destroy the marriage. So if you had sense in yourself, you wouldn't go any further with this.
