This topic actually reminded me of a nice GIF image showing the message "Downloading the internet" .. " Disk space not enough" !!! It would be really a himalayan task to destroy the internet ., if one thinks ,he has to . ..Maybe one day, all human race might come to an end, with the internet also eventually getting destroyed.. Or, like in the terminator 3 movie, there might be a time when a particular machine gets control over all others , and maybe, gives a thought of self terminating itself, and all computers in the world.. That would be the James Cameroon way to look at this question.. But apart from it, in the present day trend, i guess it is more than impossible to do it.. For one simple reason,, the destroyer would not even have a clue of where to start , and how to go about his attack. Maybe, he can affect the way it works , for a period of time.. But that too would be restricted to a period of time with the power of Internet. We , could of course argue by saying "Where there is a will, there is a way !!!" After watching sci fi movies , like Terminator, matrix triologies, we could expect anything to happen to us in the future !!! But, if common sense prevails, Internet is immortal, as far as i am concerned .. .

Wibree, sounds great .. At the moment, bluetooth seems to take over Infra red., and now it seems,bluetooth would have better technologies to compete with .. It is always fascinating to hear development in wireless technology . It makes life better .. No more messy wires everywhere.. But i also guess there has to be limitations with the frequencies of the waves used,. Though, at the moment, bluetooth and Infra Red use very low frequency waves, to damage human tissue.. , i guess with advancement in technologies, there might be a time when the frequencies go on the higher side.. High enough to affect tissues... I am indeed waiting for the moment when my school's lan is established using a wireless technology . Let us see what wibree has to offer .. I am sure,once Nokia is confident with the technology , they will stop their bluetooth phones and replace them with wibree.. might be a make or break move with Nokia !!! They could invent something which might change the trend in wireless transfer ., or make way for their own downfall, by trying to replace bluetooth technology, with something better ..

Well, let me make it clear to you .I guess, Microsoft has better stuff to do than sending virus to its visitors. I seriously do not see any reason why they should send it. And if at all they had done anything like that , it would have definitely been covered by the Internet media , and the issue would have definitely been hitting the headlines .. So , due to the absence of these symptoms , i guess what you posted was rumor ,which might have been better of with school kids ..Relating Microsoft , Genuine validation, virus , i guess something like this might have happened , ..Let us say a person uses windows xp which is a pirated copy... Maybe he had tried to download stuff from Microsoft and got validation prompt. Then, he would have searched for validation crack,somewhere from the web . The site which he tried to search for cracks might be the source for that 'virus" .. This is from a typical pirated software user perspective ...

Encryption is used to protect almost all kinds of data these days.. And the tool i use for encrypting my data is winzip.. It is pretty easy to encrypt and a good option too.. Especially when you are having online backups of your data .. But then, i guess few encryption techniques have become easily decrypted.. For example there has been many winzip password breakers developed and released.. Also ,a big problem arises when, say you have lost your password !!! This can really turn a person nuts !! I have been through this kind of torture a couple of times ,where i had lost my passwords for a couple of data files i encrypted using winzip... The i had to use those password breaking software to find a way out !! Maybe in future we could encrypt data with biometrics in our everyday life.. We could then live hassle free , with our fingertips and iris doing all the work for us.. And it would also be a boon for lazy people like me !!! Would 'nt it be wonderful to just place your fingers and get authenticated instead of typing the same passwords again and again ...

I am really excited about the technology... I am waiting for it come to the market ... But i guess the cost involved with these discs will also be quite large.. atleast initially... But the very thought of the volumes it can store, who cares about the cost ?? Really happy that such technology has come out , and waiting to make good use of it..

Personally, i have use Yahoo messenger and Gtalk - The Google messenger. Out of these two , i would vote for Yahoo messenger. Here is what i make of these two .. Yahoo: First of all, i would simply love yahoo messenger for its plethora of services... You can send/recieve files, chat , voice chat, video confernece , audio conference with Yahoo messenger.. Recently ,they have also introduced plugins to add new features to your messenger. You can access terrific services like Yahoo Launchcast Radio, Yahoo Answers , and Yahoo 360 .. Let me tell you two main reasons i use Yahoo messenger.. 1)It has a stealth mode option, which allows you to choose,who all you want to be invisible to, and who all you need to be visible.. To be more clear,.. you can appear to be online to some people , say your friends, and be in invisible mode to other people ,say your Boss.. 2) Confereces... These conferences make life lot easier to me.. Instead of just arguing the same thing with my different friends in different chat sessions, it is so simple for me to put all of them together in a conference session and discuss any issues.. GTalk: To start with GTalk, it is a 'neat' and 'Light' messenger.. It does not have a wide range of options like Yahoo.. But it does offer the best of what it does .. You can voice chat in Gtalk too,, But no conferences and no stealth modes. These are my main concerns about GTalk.. I also have to mention that GTalk's file transfer scheme does not seem to be as good as Yahoo messenger's (Atleast in my case). All your chat history gets automatically saved in your Gmail . So thats something useful to have. And one big advantage of GTalk for me is ,it is the only messenger that my school does not block !!!! Trillian Apart from these two, i have also tried Trillian. It is a messenger that allows you to access Yahoo ,MSN,AIM etc.. So ,you can call it a 4 in 1 messenger.. You can also log in to multiple accounts of the same provider at any given point of time.. Ideal for people who have many IM accounts to deal with.. In my opinion Yahoo, would be the best messenger ... GTalk needs some more features to go with it before it competes with Yahoo . I have not used MSN messenger yet.. I'll give it a try..

Cathode Ray Tube monitors, definitely are on the brink of extinction.... It is definitely, only a matter of time before LCDs come and push Cathode Ray Tube monitors out of the market.. LCD monitors have their own advantages which makes it more appealing to people day by day.. For people concerned with looks, it is trendy and sleek looks.. And for those obsessed with quality , LCDs do give crisp and clear display. And if you are a person concerned about your electricity bills, then maybe LCD would be a good option in that case too.. So , with all these features, i do not see any reason for Cathode Ray Tubes ,to exist anymore.. One minor issue is the additional cost of LCD displays over the Cathode Ray Tube displays.."Change alone is unchanging"Obviously, everything in this world is bound to change ... atleast in the tech arena... So, it is apt to welcome the LCD brigade and bid farewell to Good Old Cathode Ray Tubes..

Nice topic to start off... I jumped into the topic on seeing the words cookie,ice cream etc... I should say your idea is a very delicious one.. But it is already implemented, i should say.. One ice cream company in our region prepares such baked cookies with ice cream between it . And the good news is that it is a very popular and fast moving item from that company... So maybem you could start improving yourself as a chef and give a thought on pursuing catering for your career... You seem to have brains of a Good Chef..

Well, first up i gotta say that you are thinking the same way as i do .. I too am associated with offering some sort of service to the people .. To do that you have to decide and make up your mind about the kind of service you will be offering. There are so many things you can do. Write reiews about products, put articles about your hometown , offer cool links to your visitors (kinda old idea but very effective...) .. All these stuff are quite easy to implement. Either you use forums to do it or a content management system like mambo ... I suggest a content management system.. I use php nuke for one of my sites, and am pretty happy with the way it works for me !!If you plan to make it big, then you have to do something big.!!! MAybe you should be somewhat strong in php,mysql, and probably javascript... Once you are alright with these stuff,and manage to design your site with some neat layout, any idea of yours could sell !!!! Here are some themes i would like1) Tutorials2) Resources (For webdesigning, or similar stuff..)3) Renders4) Discussion forum with appreciable amount of activity..Well, whatever you end up doing, my good wishes !!!

Well, if students do start showing such Public display of Affection, the purpose of schooling could differ... I guess it should not be there .... Though there is nothing wrong in having an annual ball , i think it should not cross the border. And you do not want school students moving out of school with a spouse already !!!!

I use Yahoo Messenger for that purpose. No restrictions i suppose. And works really good...

Nokia 6280 and SE W810i are two models i would suggest you. I am currently using Motorola A780. It is also apretty good phone with all facilities u mentioned. But it has only a 1.3 Mega pixel cam. If u could afford Nokia 6280 or W810i of SE , they both offer u better imaging with a two megapixel cam. Also both of them have decent memory card shipping with the phone. If you are also concerned about music quality, i suggest you to take sony's w810i. they also give a set of speakers to be connected to your phone. A really cool option !!!

I would suggest you to use interspire.com .. That site contains lots of elegant templates and would really suit your needs... They are easy on the eyes and free for download. I used interspire's templates for my site at the beginning , and got good feedback regarding it from my internet friends.... So give it a try..

I have used Dreamweaver 8 and am happy with the way it has worked for me. I dont do very advanced stuff using my dreamweaver , but it is simple fast end effective. Infact i started designing my first werb page using dreamweaver.. I guess a tool good enough for beginners and professionals alike.......

I have used Bittorrent , Azureus and Utorrent so far ... Well, here is a small review from my experience...Azureus : It is the best out of the three i have used. Thats because , i got better download speeds in azureus than what i got in the other two .. But it drained my system resources a bit... So thats an issue if we use computers with minimal hardware... It also needs java platform to run on.. Bittorrent : Though i have it installed , i dont use it that often.. Only when i find something wrong with my Azureus, and utorrent ,do i switch over to bittorrent.. It does not need the java platform .. And it is more reliable than azureus i guess...Utorrent : The most fascinating thing about utorrent is its "lightweight" feature.. The standalone is about 120 Kb only.. But i didnt find anything exciting as far as the speeds are conerned..

Lyon2, it would be really good if i can get you the index page . But the problem is ,at the moment i am workin on some php for the site and have to finish it in order to get to the home page designing . Anyway, I am still having that screenshot's layout in mind (the screenshot i have posted in the first post ) and similar colours. So whatever i need will be something related to it . If you think you could do the logo better only if you can have the index page, no problem... I would make it ready in a week maximum and send it.. So, it is always your preference that counts.. I feel terrible that i cant get the home page done now... But , i hope you understand.. This php work is a bit urgent so that my friend uses it to get started with the forums of my site . And again, time is not an issue.... So, make the logo whenever you have free time alone...

For BKaq : Yeah ,BKaq , though the logo you made was great , i am looking for something better .. .I am quite happy with the Lyon2's progress with the logos. I think you are a member of the graphic crew, right ?? If you can, please redesign the logo for me BKaq. Make a custom made logo ,without using any " Logo creator applications " . That's true buddy... It do understand , i am not giving a complete picture of what i need.... But i am designing my site now only and i guess it would take a week before i could finish the home page . And try to put in ur last effort into an application like photoshop, cuz that would be better for me.. As i said logos made using logo creators like AAA logo would be a bit too common...

Lyon2 , looks like you use AAAlogo for the work , and you were talking about that application in the previous post , right ??? Well, i have used it ,.and am looking for something custom made.. Well, those logos could easily traced that they were made using an application . Thats the reason i am looking for a custom made logo that goes well with my site. Well, i dont know how longer this topic could drag itself .. Maybe some of you out there are just sentimentally attached to Internet Explorer... Seriously, you are missing something ,if you are missing firefox.. It is fast ,safe, and what not ?? It has also been ranked number 1 product by PC world, where Gmail ranks second... For all of you who just dont seem to accept firefox yet.,, try downlading firefox btea 2... It is hot and awesome... If you can term anything as your dream browser ,then firefox 2 should be it... Well, i am not praising firefox 2 this much for no reason... There seems to be a lot of changes in this version.. Here are some of them which i noticed 1) Search suggestions- Firefox shows up a list of similar words when u type a word in your search toolbar... Say ,if you type 'f' it shows firefox,friends,fun,fact ,...etc., 2) Super cool style - The new version has a style theme which is worth an experience 3) Phishing protection - I have not seen it work , but read that it has inbuilt phishing protection and warns you when you visit potential phishing sites 4) For those who like opera as it can continue from the last time yopu closed the browser, firefox2 has the same feature in it... 5) You can open a tab which you have accidentally closed 6) Spell check - Whenever you make a spelling mistake while typing somehing in your forms ,it shows you the mispelled words.. Ok... Background should be in white ... logo's colour shud be somewhat similar to the blue colour of our Xisto ipb forum ... And the font you have used is a bit too stylish... It would be nice if the font is more standard... Something which looks formal...
