    My Parents Suck

I've got a couple things to say. 1. 13 IS too young for Las Vegas. I went there at 14, and i personally though it was disgusting. There's little pictures taped to all the stop light with ads for you-can-guess-what on them. They're EVERYWHERE. The casinos are gross. We went to a buffet.... the non-smoking side was full, and would be for a while. So we sat in the smoking side. It was so gross, you couldn't even hardly breath. Then there's the fact that I wear contacts, that feel like you got a piece of sawdust in your eye when you get in heavy smoke.2. You should respect your parents decision. You'll get your chance some day, and even if you went, you wouldn't enjoy it. Trust me. They know what's best for you, and it's their chance to go out by themselves. They always could've stuck you with someone else... your grandparents can't possibly be the worst you can think of...
  2. My WinME's favorite past time is the BSOD game. Probably about 2-3 times a week on it. I have had only one BSOD in XP, that happened several times.I got my new computer, started it up to finish the install of XP, went and downloaded all my favorite programs I always use. Finally get around to installing MSN Messenger a couple days later. Works great the first day. That night I shut my computer down, for some odd reason, started it up, signed into MSN and BOOM! BSOD. I emailed tech support, and as always, "Do a fresh install!" So I completely uninstall it, reinstall it, talk to a friend for 2 mins, and BSOD. Again. Restart the computer and repeat once more. Finally, I just deleted the registry settings they told me to, and.... it worked. I'm like... What?! But, yeah. Trust Microsoft to make their products all screwy. >.< I would switch to Linux if I didn't have bad experiences trying to dual boot...
  3. Wow. Sweet, only with Firefox. I'm just wondering... could other people download these files, or are they YOU only? It could come in really handy if other people could download them. I guess I'll just go take a look....
  4. It is the same tech, just taken much much farther. (PopSci FTW!) The one in PopSci could only cloak microwave rays. Basically, what it does, is takes the light hitting the cloak on one side and sends it through little tubes, so to speak, to the other side. So it looks as if there is nothing there. It's much easier with microwave rays because they are only one frequency, whereas, light is hundreds. Whoever said they found a pic, please post a link? I'd really like to see this puppy in action.
  5. I have to say that YouTube directory is just... ownage. It's really really cool. All it needs is some html prettiness thrown on it and it's a professional site! You've got some talent there. I'd ask you to do something for me, because I can tell your really bored. But I figured it out on my own. Maybe some other time.
  6. Ha. I've watched liek two different episodes of Avatar. I'm not a huge fan of cartoony anime, and I don't follow any Tv series like that. I always though it was a little cheesy. :)I was messin with a friend about it one day, cause he loved it too. I was joking around about how bad it was, and he got really mad at me. It was hilarious. XD
  7. That's a beautiful sig. No, not sig. Piece of art. =P Really really like it. All it's lacking is a border. Great job. Hope to see more from you.
  8. You know, I'm pretty sure it's Windows only, unfortunately. =\ The computer doesn't necessarily need to be on the internet, it just needs to be on a network. In other words, they both have to be connected to the same router. If the two PCs aren't on the same network, they both must be on the internet and you have to know the IP of the host. (The one being controlled)And the browser doesn't have to be open for it to work... it connects in a different way than your browser or something like that. It actualy connect directly to the host's program. I haven't used it really yet, but I plan on testing it with Windows ME being the host tomorrow, simply to see if it works between XP and older Windows.
  9. So, my friend found a program that lets you control another computer. Like have complete control if you know the password for it. Except for starting it up, of course. It's called "Anyplace Control". You install the Admin program on your main computer, and the host program on the computer you want to control. Works best over your network, though it can be used with direct IP. Here's a description from their site: The website is here: http://www.anyplace-control.com/ You can get a free 30 day trial from there, after that it's actually pretty cheap at $35. Fun little deal to mess with you siblings, they walk away from their computer and come back to find notepad open saying "Haha! you been hax0red!" Pretty fun.
  10. You know, so many people go about saying this is going to ruin YouTube because Google Video bites. When most of them haven't even tried Google Video. If more people use it, Google would put mroe money in it to make it better, and trust me, the have the money. :)I personally think it will be great. Not to mention all the funny videos out up on YouTube about the two guys who are selling. They're great. :)With Google, how can you go wrong?
  11. One thing I noticed that is lacking in both your sigs is borders. Sigs NEED borders, otherwise they literally look like they're spilling out into your post. It's not good. =\ That's the number one problem. I suggest sticking a border on it.Number 2 is the smear on his face. I think it's just the brush you used, but it needs to go badly. Looks like his shirt is mixing with his face.Other than that, decrease the opacity of your text, so it's not so dark. Dark doesn't match that theme well.
  12. Yeah, but, like seriously. What fun would that be? Besides, my way is cheaper. Like... free. (For 30 days...) And we don't all have Nero. At least I don't.
  13. MSN FTW! I personally only use MSN, I have no use for others. It IS the most customizable, with the help of MP!L (Messenger Plus! Live) and a messpatch. It's so easy to mess with it. Plus everyone I know uses MSN.And I'm sure you can find a port of Trillian for Linux. Linux just owns so hardcore. I've used a Live Ubuntu disc, and it ran faster than the main OS did. (Windows ME)Good luck on that, though. Hope you enjoy Linux.
  14. Forenote: I DO NOT ENCOURAGE PIRATING MOVIES. You will also need QUITE a lot of hard drive space to do this procedure. I recommend at least 10Gb free. Now, to get started. Convert your movie to M2V DVD players should always be able to play M2V format. Please note this step MAY take up to 12 hours, but for me, about 5. I leave it going overnight when I'm not working on my PC. Look at the bottom of this guide for links to what you will need, download the TMPGEnc demo. Go into the TMPGEnc folder and run TMPGEnc.exe, when it opens, it should start a project wizard. If not, click File > New Project. In the project window, select NTSC. Not NTSC 16:9 or Low-resolution, just NTSC. I'm assuming your AVI has ac3 audio, that's the way I know how to do. In the dropdown select Linear PCM Audio. Hit Next. In the video area, browse and select your AVI movie file. I sggest leaving all other options alone, unless you are experienced and know what they do. Hit next again. If you want to cut some of the movie out, select the first option on this page. If not, don't do anything else but open "Other Settings". In Other Settings, at the very bottom under Motion Search Precision: select "Highest quality (Very slow)" unless your computer is really slow, in which case choose a faster one. Hit ok then next. It will display a warning or something on auto bitrate selection, just hit ok. On the last screen, make the movie slightly smaller. Around 94% is good, because you still have to fit in a 150Mb sound file. Then hit next. Choose where you want to save the M2V file. Put it somewhere fairly easy to remember. Hit ok and go to bed. You don't want to play around on your PC while it's encoding, you may mess it up. Rip the ac3 sound track off the AVI Head to the link for VirtualDubMod, and download it. VDB is freeware, so feel free to hand it out and whatnot. Run VirtualDubMod.exe. Hit File > open video file, and open your original AVI. Hit Streams > Stream list. Select the AVI Audio stream 1 and hit "Demux". Save it in the same place as your M2V movie file. Hit ok and let it do it's thing, should take about 30 mins up to an hour. Put your files together into DVD file system Download Ifoedit from the links at the bottom. Run Ifoedit.exe, and go into DVD Author > Author new DVD. select your M2V and AC3 files, for the right areas. M2V in video and AC3 in audio. Probably just leave the save file path in that spot, unless you have a reason not to. Hit ok and wait for it to finish. Now you have two options. You SHOULD have a AUDIO_TS folder and a VIDEO_TS folder. Audio_ts WILL NOT have anything in it. That is normal. There should be several files in Video_ts. Right now, you could just turn those two folders into an ISO and burn them and it should work. Or, there's another way. DVD Shrink and DVDdecrypter to burn Go to http://www.doom9.org/ into downloads and get DVDDecrypter. Install it. Get DVD shrink here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Download and install it; open it up and click re-author, browse to your _TS folders and you should see a selection there. Hit OK or whatever and let it do it's thing. (I'm not highly experienced with either of these programs) It should put an ISO where you told it to. Open DVDDecrypter, hit W to go to Write mode, click browse to the right of Source: and find the ISO put out by Shrink. Throw an EMPTY DVD into your burner, and set your write speed, i suggest keeping it at or below 8x, but it's up to you. Then hit the big button in the bottom left, and let er burn! Links and afterword Links: http://www.doom9.org/software.htm - Here you can get lots of stuff, look here for the tools or check other links below. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ - Trial TMPGEnc, only does M2V for 30 days. Buy if you need longer. http://www.ifoedit.com/index.html - Ifoedit, get the top one, 0971. I hope you enjoyed my tut, and I hope it works for what you need. If you have any more questions, or a correction, comment, etc, please speak up!
  15. Trap17 owns them all. Many many paid hosts can't say they have half the features and ease of use as Xisto. You can't beat the speed, reliability and Fantastico. Plus the MySql DBs and FTP accounts and many other things you are allowed by the tens. (Not that you would ever need that many, but....)I've had some scary free host experiences. Like Awardspace, their Cpanel bites. Bad. And their php support is horrible. I use it only for my own quick php testing and stuff. Byethost was fairly slow and had those annoying ads everywhere - other than that, they are quite gracious and give great support and features. It is kinda tough having to keep up your credits - but it is definitely worth it, for the amazing features.
  16. Rock, definatly. Not the hard, screaming jumping around and breaking things rock. Softer rock, with a good melody, rhythm, etc..Such as...AARUncle CrackerMatchbox20GreendayJourneyMen Without HatsThat can keep going, for quite a while, actually. :)But yeah I lean towards rock. Punk rock, Metalic rock, Hard rock, Goth rock = ew. But a lot of it is good.
  17. Lmao. Country FTL! There's a couple good country singers out there, and a couple good songs, but overall, I can't stand it. I prefer soft rock or "pop". The country/pop songs are ok for a couple times, but after that they just get annoying and boring. One of my fave singers, Uncle Cracker, adds a small flair of country to his music, but it's not so much you want to puke.
  18. WOW. These online OS's are the coolest things! I had never even heard of them until now, but they are freaking awesome. I love the idea of going to a library, logging into your very own desktop and working or even playing around on it. All without installing ANYTHING. It's just too cool. I personally prefer eyeOS right now. Just because it's cleaner, has a great documentation, and you can host it on your own anywhere you want. It's just like.... wow. Can't wait to earn back my hosting here so I can set it up.
  19. I'd love an iPod. They really are great devices. Mostly love the huge space and how you get around in your music. It's great. But I'll probably never have the cash for one considering I'm gonna have to pay for car insurance and gas soon. Anyhow, I got a Zen Nano for Christmas last year, and, simply put, I love it. It's probably got one of the best interfaces for small MP3 players. It's not one of the big, movie ones, but it's enough for me. Since I mostly use it for storing files anyhow. =PGreat sound, and the price is crazy now. 60$ for a 512, is pretty impressive. Plus it looks cool.
  20. It's a little.... empty. =\ You need to fill up the left side a little bit. Other than that, it looks pretty good. Be sure to slao your name on it before using it though.
  21. I'm just wondering.... does this speed up the operating system any at all? I've got an older computer I'm thinking about putting XP on, but it's probably gonna choke. If these speed it up any, though, that would be nice. Also, are there any for Windows ME? That's the thew old computer in question now is running, just would be fun maybe.
  22. This sounds HILARIOUS. I'm downloading the Katamari Damaci one right now, cause I've played it, and for how comical the game is, it's gotta be 10x better in RL. =PI'll edit my post when I've watched more of them.Lmfao, "What are ya buuyin?" "What are ya buuyin?" "What are ya sellin?"That was hilarious. Notice how in every one, someone gets pissed and calls the cops? XDOMFG I love the tetris one! *walks into a pole* "Agh" XD
  23. He ^^ like's it cause of the render. XD Looks pretty good actually, and the text looks VERY good. May I suggest a white border, though? Set on overlay. Or maybe even pink, it's all about making the colors blend. :DNot much else to say. The pixel stretch is kinda a weird style, but it obviously looks ok. Also, try not blending the render quite that much.
  24. Neat, I must say. There's one thing I have not noticed suggested yet, though. Notebooks. Students always need notebooks and spare paper. Also, calculators are important.Trying to think of what I use... Folders, there ya go.Lol, that's all I can think of, but really cool deal, hope it goes well for you.
