  1. I want to switch to Linux and if not stop, minimize my use of Windows, I might use it only to play games and Photoshop. So I need to know whether I will be able to run it on my PC, the official site, well I surfed it and the info didn't really say anything much, I run on: PentiumĀ® 4 CPU 2.00 GHZ 2.67 GHz, 512 MB SDR RAM (I am already thinking of upgrading this anyways.) There's some problem with my video card, so you can expect it to be 0 MB. (But I might upgrade it in a couple of months, I want to do it with my own money.) And I have some ASUS motherboard which I bought 3 years back and it was the best at that time. (It's so old that it's no longer there on their site!) So I just want to know whether I will be able to run Ubuntu on mu system properly. Not really the most minimal performance but I want it to run smoothly! And if I'm planning to buy a new motherboard which will support like RAM upto 2 GB and video memory of like 256 MB, how much would it cost? Cost of motherboard, RAM and video card all of them? And I'd prefer AMD over Intel and ATi over nVidia.
  2. Seen a similar clip sometime back, some XGL or something and at that time I knew I am so not going to try Vista. You guys just keep on motivating me to clean up my PC, back-up stuff, upgrade a bit and install Linux. XD I have the DVD with me. Just am too lazy.Btw, this is really amazing, and this clip makes more sense and it's comparing and not just showcasing Beryl and the end was just awesome for an even more awesome comparision.
  3. Download Kubuntu/Ubuntu or any other Linux distro which might interest you now! And I do seriously mean this, the experience is so good and you'll just realize how crappy Windows XP or even Vista is! And the Vista Aero interface is nothing in front of some of the ones Linux has, check out the videos on YouTube, they are the real evidence! *slaps self* I am so lazy I cannot even install Ubuntu, I mean the DVD is right next to me!
  4. Okay, now I agree with most of you here. I was 14 myself like 3 or 4 weeks back and if I would've got the opportunity to do that with that teacher or someone closely that hot I would've never filed a case or anything against her, I wouldn't even tell my parents or anyone about it! I mean, okay is goes against laws, some moral issues but really, all of the people who actually were against this, might've done the same thing if they were in the shoes of that 14 year old and I am 99.99% sure of this. There was no reason which would've convinced that guy that what he was doing or letting someone do to him was wrong or illegal or anything of that sort. I mean he has just entered teenage and I don't think it would've even struck him for once that what was happening was wrong. And that sex in the car with the cousin driving thing is really stupid. I agree.
  5. Well, we don't really get them so easily here in India so it won't really affect many as most of Indians are veggies.I am not a strict vegetarian myself so when I do get them (it's not impossible, there are a few shops) I won't mind eating them. :)But this will surely disappoint some veggie Masterfoods fans!
  6. Now that is really cool!Though I don't really drink anything that's hot so I don't think I'll ever make use of this but this is really cool. :)I would really like someone to make small speakers of the size of usual USB MP3 players. I mean, the ones on laptops are too low on quality and volume and it seems kinda funny carrying big ones everywhere. So we can just plug the USB Speaker on any laptop and listen to good quality music. if ear-phones can be ho high in quality with that small size, USB speakers can surely be.But I guess this has been already done! I don't know but this is such a simple idea someone might've already done this...
  7. I completely agree to this. I mean, Linux is just a piece of software with a name, no office, no nothing. Even if somehow, out of the box, Microsoft does succeed to take down Linux. Open-source developers from all over the world are sure to work harder and make another *nix based Operation System and this time try and keep it away from Microsoft patents. I mean, as far as I know, Linux has a huge and world-spread family and I am sure that open-source will live on and on and I do hope too that one day it will take over Microsoft!
  8. Damn, that's like so COOL! OpaQue, you just keep on making this community and hosting service better and better! Ofcourse getting 280 credits for the domain is going to be bit hard but then after you get one, you have one entire year to grab those many credits and I think that won't be tough at all. Usually when I get some good topics to post on, I get like 5 or 6 credits each day. But my usual gaps of 3 and 2 months makes all of my credits go to vain. *swears he'll post more and more, with quality of course*
  9. I guess this is my best work uptil now! Haven't done anything much in like 2 months so tonight wanted to make something. (Best way to kill boredom during sleepless nights.) Gone through a couple of tutorials and learnt some new techniques, used all of them here! Rate it on a scale of 10. P.S. New logo!
  10. This is the stupidest thing I've heard in all day long. And I even agree with midnightvamp, I run Microsoft on this PC, but the thing is I'm just too lazy to install Ubuntu, I own the DVD! :)I don't think there is any chance of Microsoft winning this!
  11. I'd vote for truefusion. I think the render blends perfectly well, or if not, atleast better than the others. And I really like the text there, simple but so aesthetic!
  12. Well, I haven't really seen this behavior around me and I have always been open about me being an Atheist. But people who say "I have no religion." might not be Atheists, they might believe in a supernatural power, or you can say a "force" or "motivating spirit" as some of my friends say but no organized religion. People who say I don't have a God are definitely Atheists according to me.It wasn't really a piece of cake for me, my parents and school authorities were unsure about Atheism and so they always used to think that I worship the Devil and then I had to bear their simply never-ending lectures on God, religion and stuff like that and how ashamed I should be to say something against all of this. But still, this isn't really much for someone to be scared to be open about their Atheism. And basically I agree to most of what truefusion had to say on this.
  13. Well, I am a guy and last year when I was 14, I had the height of 4.3", yes I was that short. but then suddenly a growth spurt came and now I am 15 and 5'6", I am still short than most of the guys I know of my age but still, that was how much I increased in just one single year. It could be in your genes, or I would even like to agree with the people here speaking about nutrition, whole food is really important, I never really faced that problem in India as our food is considered more nutritious than other diets I've seen across the world. I used to live off burgers and pizzas but then when I started listening to my Mom and started eating the food she gave, I grew so much in one year. I am not saying that you shouldn't eat that, I still do, more than the usual food. But it could be one of the problems you might face. if you don't like drinking milk (I don't like it) then a good alternative is ice cream and this actually works! One thing is for sure, don't take any medication or drugs until many doctors have said the same thing. Don't do weight exercises (If you do.) as they do stunt growth process. Just try to be a bit more active than you are now. Cycling and swimming do help, if you have the habit of eating directly after swimming, avoid that and instead take up cycling. Increase the height of the seat and then try to cycle properly, that will stretch your legs and that might make you a bit taller. And most of all, just wait, it oculd be in your genes, none of males from my Father's side of family grew until they were 15. It could be the case, it depends on your family. What you're saying is kinda right, but you can avoid this, height will give you a boost in confidence, it's a teenage thing but you can overcome this necessity, it's not NECCESSARY for height to be a factor here but usually it is. The moment I got slim, I just had so many advantages...
  14. I'd vote for Ridwan. The background for Albus's sig was like, well it just didn't look nice to me. Ridwan has a sort of glassy look to it, not really glassy maybe shiny, but I like it. I like the text actually. Except for that "The Incredible Hulk" at the bottom.
  15. I vote for SM, I just love the colors and the way they completely blend into each other! And that grungy-dusty feel to it just does things.
  16. Well, yeah, suicide isn't really a good thing to do. I am against it too, I mean everyone does have ups and downs in life but killing yourself is just not the way out. If you don't want to be sad, try and be happy. Killing yourself won't help as you won't be alive to feel that "happiness" even if you were this close to that. And seriously, most of the emo kids you see are just posers, people these days are so ready to label themselves and gain attention. And then they will throw it all off when the next big thing comes in. They just want to look cool and stuff like that.On the contrary people disgust emos and stuff like that, the reason they try and be "emo" is because they feel out, they feel like they have no one and they are lonely. You aren't doing anything by shouting out that "emo is gay!". You should actually go out and befriend that guy/girl, no matter how weird you'll think he/she is at first but then you'll realize there's a whole lot more hidden behind those black skin-tight clothes and converses. My best friend tried to cut herself once and I mean, you don't only affect your own life but it also affects the lives of many people around you, you never know how many people care for you and when you do realize you find it's too late.Labels are just a pain in the [three-lettered word we all are familiar with here] to be honest.
  17. Extremely sorry for being so late but I was busy with a few things so forgot about this and I just came on Trap yesterday after a long time: Hope this lands up to your expectations and again extremely sorry for being so late: GTA Source http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/404.png GTA Land https://www.conrad.de/de/welten/smart-home-wochen.html
  18. Well, I just typed it in using the official Linkin Park font, and then I used a construction site stock, then thresholded it to make it all black and white, then overlayed it on the text, and then removed the black parts, so that made it look like a worn out rubber stamp, there's a tut on BioRust, check it out!

  19. Umm, I'd vote a "no", actually the same points that were mentioned by truefusion! And apart that, you still need to improve, you use brushing and other things instead of just brushing and renders and that's good, but in the end the sigs don't even look that good, you do have potential, no one starts off the way you did, and that's good, just go through some more tutorials, finish up the layout as truefusion said and then you have way better chances at getting accepted, atleast by me.
  20. Done, there is just a single line there portraying my laziness, I've hosted the images on my own servers, can you please give me the code for the bumper stickers too?
  21. Okay, so I guess I will give this one a try, I'll edit this post with the banner when I'm done.
  22. I found them pretty good for a first try but not much usable if you understand what I mean, I'll comment on dA after I am done thinking what to comment.
  23. Okay, so this might be the crappiest pedal artwork you would've ever seen, but due to the gap I actually forgot what I initially had in mind and so this is what I've come up with some brushing, it's a small space and I didn't really want to get it crowded, I mean in the end it's just a pedal artwork. And you wanted to match the layout at BFMV official site, so it's all drips and grungey border, hope you like though it's crappy. Sorry for being so late... If you want something edited, I can get it done as soon as you want it, as finally all of my major tests are over and only English, Hindi and Science I are left, English is easy and so is Hindi, I've been speaking those languages for 14 years now. And well I am always good at physics. I do hope Imtay22 comes up with something better.
  24. My vote goes to TrueFusion, that grunge does things to me! [] And I like it over-all too.
