  1. And you definitely have a strong point there. The only problem that I see with Solar Energy is that it's not reliable and it's not available at one point on the planet throughout, and where it is present for larger periods of time, it isn't present in sufficient amounts. We do need other alternative and reliable sources apart from Solar Energy together with Solar Energy. I think it's best to either try out everything we can or dig up holes and hide ourselves. Jokes. I could provide with information but most of that would be largely refuted by the "biased, incomplete, political" argument and the rest which is left by the "it's in the Earth's cycle" argument. The reason why I only "spoke" was due to obvious frustration over the little amount of research that was put into such a "hear me rawr" post. You can't blame me for that, can you? You want me to list down links here in my next post, fine, I can very well do that. I already explained the mechanism for the extreme weather change for even a layman to understand but I can't go further. There are sources available already for that. As S_M said. Go over to the poles and see if you can't believe in images. Go over to the Gulf countries. Come over to India and see how the country with one of the most diverse weathers has been affected in as many ways. That's the entire problem with Global Warming, it's so easily mistaken for the "Earth's Cycle." And even if it is the Earth's cycle, it would still result in an Ice Age, just like it did in earlier. There's nothing you can do so why this last act of showcasing your "enlightenment" by disagreeing to something which doesn't even hold any substantial point anymore? We're doomed ... in many ways to come. Using Ethanol won't help and we'd probably be spending more time weaving sweaters instead of focusing on alternative sources of energy by the time it affects us. What I wanted to point out was, Global Warming is not the act of Man alone, but we've definitely sped things up. The Ozone layer too has been largely affected by weather alone and not man, but, that change is cyclic and it repairs itself in adequacy over a period of months because the causing factor alone disappears. But the CFCs and other particles that we send up there don't. They stay there as they aren't an outcome of weather and screw things up. It will, of course overcome itself. It always has. When did "Global Warming" deny that? The Pleistocene age was when one of the most remarkable evolutionary changes happened to man-kind. And no, I wouldn't mail you samples of fossils to prove that, Google is your friend or your local museum. And for the technology part, the point to be noted is that we didn't even have "civilization" and all of its viscous assumptions to start. Forget about technology. Besides, most technology that we overly rely on has been developed pretty recently going by the scales of it to have any major effect on our biochemistry. It can't possibly "hinder" our survivability in this Ice Age. We might not be the same in number, but we definitely won't go extinct. Help. That's the keyword. But well, it's fun and perfectly justified to not even click on a Wikipedia link, ever. Outside provocation is sometimes uncontrollable.
  2. If you expect to find "good proof" over television, you're only going to find Al Gore on there. Go look, there's loads of proof and evidence across Science networks and resources. Plus, this one member on Xisto had a disturbing image in the signature. If that's not proof enough, I don't know what is. If you think Government were the ones to cook things about Global Warming up ... you can't cook a dish that's already there. Talking about Government, well I'm an Anarchist ... so you know my say on that. XD Besides, I think your entire "I don't to believe" rant is a halfhearted act to show how much you are "anti-Government" 'cause you've been going on about Al Gore and the Government when they are completely insignificant when the real deal is concerned. We aren't asking you to believe, you won't be able to make it any better even if you did.
  3. Irrelevant. That doesn't mean they can run the entire town. No one is. Apart from the media and Al Gore of course, but you'd rather look at them than the reality once again, won't you? Not use them because this use will germinate into further production and that's what you want to stop. Are you deliberately trying to shut your eyes towards basic logic? And did you know that this fixation isn't sufficient and it's largely weather-dependent because it's due to the PSCs? And you even need to look at the difference between Stratospheric and Tropospheric ozone levels and what changes in them affect us in a good way and what affect us in a bad way. And you'd rather much believe in a hypothesis than a proven change in our climate? How intelligent. *person* erectus have survived many pole reversals (not to be confused with the whole "flipping" hypothesis) and the temporary loss of the magnetosphere and we're looking at 3000-4000 A.D. talking about this to start with. And the Solar Winds might just induce a sufficient magnetic field in the Ionosphere to save us from mass extinction in the absence of Earth's natural magnetosphere.
  4. There are better things to be tired about. *coughs* Honestly, you don't know the meaning of "evidence" if you think there isn't any. I don't care about Al Gore and I never heard a single of his speeches and I didn't see his movie too. I don't need to look at celebrities and politicians trying to get a name for themselves to know and understand what's going on. Just because there is a parallel propaganda doesn't mean you can deny the actual empirical evidence for the same matter. That's being stupid and downright ignorant. Like someone else mentioned, if this is how you perceive things, get religion. And do you have any idea how much these couple of degrees mean? 2 degrees in your own body and you're screwed. Imagine 2 degrees for such a humongous, inter-twined and fragile ecosystem, please? Again, you fail to notice that with the obvious increase, there is a rate change too. But well, people believe no matter how much they can know. Distinguishing between heat and humidity isn't something that needs years of experience. I guess everyone can do that. I live in one of the most humid areas in my country and I frequently travel to areas with extremely less humidity. It is way too easy to tell the difference and we don't need your propaganda here. Go get educated on Global Warming please before posting any further. And you completely ignore the slight change in water currents and the fact that the heat is converting ice into water and is not having much effect on the water itself. The main difference to be noted is the different salt levels. Water currents depend on the fragile balance between fresh and saline water and they're one of the reasons why the weather's doing to be doomed. Not 1-2 degrees increase in water temperature. Again, go get yourself educated. So you mean me living in India have to follow everyone else or even the media? Here, we don't have media following weather, they're way too bothered about the celebrities and the obvious inflation. Seriously Mermaid711, get yourself educated. I am glad you took the blame on yourself instead of an innocent news/data resource. Sit and keep quite. There's nothing much you can do, that's where the propaganda comes in. There is absolutely nothing you can do. It's way too late. The balance between fresh and saline water is going to be disturbed leading to tremendous change in the water currents affecting weather worldwide which in the most extreme of cases might lead us into another Ice Age. But well, we don't need to worry. We survived the last Ice Age, we'll survive this one too. When it does come, we need to take refuge underground for maybe a thousand or million years and let the Earth replenish itself and undo all the harm we've been doing to it. Then maybe we can bless ourselves with a chance to take in the sheer beauty of a pollution-free sky, green water and cave paintings on the Statue of Liberty by another species. Okay, the latter might just be a bit extreme. No, it's worse for the Ozone layer but better for the environment.
  5. The voluntarily induced lack of ability to ever get the point. You're half right in the end though. This is absurdity and this is exactly what would be happening with God being Omniscient and with a pinch of sense in his brains, if he has one. Or maybe, he wouldn't require that with all his "benevolence." [1] How will committing sins please my parents?[2] Irrelevant. [3] For you don't want to see it. [4] An off-shoot of your repetitive failure to comprehend subjectivity and objectivity both going hand in hand. Logic isn't subjective. Period. That didn't make any sense. Oh, really? A proof is only given for a test. [1] Blackness? You could be a bit more, precise, couldn't you? How does the observation of the death of a single unit before our existence imply that all units must die? [2] God isn't where everything came from. And I guess this should be pretty obvious from the Bible itself. [3] It's been a while and I don't remember in what context did I say that. As soon as I do, it will be here in edition. [1] Of course we can.[2] You completely missed my point. You in fact misunderstood what I wanted to say. [1] I did not say that you did.[2] Of course I know I did. [3] Constant? Excuse me? And I would love for you to clarify which definition of "brainwash" am I using. [4] And where?
  6. Okay, now this was amusing! XDThe most funny is the Texas law, although completely expected of a place like Texas, that was just completely hilarious! Would they spare the criminal if he/she did abide the that law? How, pointless is that? It's funny that people can even come up with stuff like this but then I forget. They're just Human. :)And then on the Iowa one, how does it make any difference at all? The funniest thing would be, "You can't have sex for more than 7 minutes." Again, sheer pointlessness.
  7. It all really depends on which kind of addiction are you talking about.Every addiction, has two reasons behind it. A completely biological reason (Our brain's Reward system) or a psychological reason (which is again in the end Biochemistry but that's irrelevant here). Most drugs, like salamangkero mentioned have the biological reason behind people getting addicted to them. One of the most toughest to get rid off addictions has to be cigarette smoking. Nicotine is a psychoactive chemical that releases certain enzymes in the liver and certain chemicals and hormones in the brain after crossing the Blood-brain barrier approximately within 7 seconds inhalation. This gives feelings of relaxation, calm, stimulation, alertness, better concentration and the lack of appetite and shot up metabolism makes people lose weight. The circuitry in our brain which regulates the "good" feelings, also known as the Reward system is affected by Nicotine and that's what makes it so addictive. This makes people unable to quit even after knowing the potential dangers of tobacco smoking, Nicotine in it's base form is far more dangerous than even Cocaine when it comes to toxicity.Almost all drugs have some or the other biological effect on our brain, especially the Reward system and this is exactly why Human Will power alone cannot curb addictions so easily. It's best to resist from the very start. There are many other kind of addictions like someone mentioned, gambling addiction or something some of the members here are addicted to, computers or the "environment" of the internet. Some researchers have led to the conclusion that along with gambling being a psychological disorder or mental illness rather than an addiction, it does have some biological effect on the brain which makes it an addiction similar to drug addiction due to the lower concentrations of Norepinephrine in the person. And now when it comes to computer addiction, it's mainly psychological. I am myself addicted to the "environment" of the internet though I am glad I got out of my state where I messed up my priorities due to me living in Hyperreality.
  8. I am quite confused on this because I haven't seen the match myself. It's his medal and he can do whatever he wants with it. And I wouldn't question his reaction at all if it turned out that the judges made a mistake. The entire point that throwing away a medal won't do him any good and neither will it do any good to the other competitors is completely out of question here. Morals don't always rule a person's actions. He did what he wanted to and that probably gave him some psychological satisfaction. Good for him then, I guess. I said it was an obvious reaction if there was a fault on the judging side 'cause honestly, it hurts when you work so hard to get something that you completely deserve it, you work hard enough till the very end to deserve it and then it goes out to someone else.Making a huge deal out of this incident would be completely stupid for the officials of the Olympics.
  9. Speaking of making Humans go through Photosynthesis, plants don't get all the required nutrients through photosynthesis alone and the nutritional as well as energy requirements are completely different in humans and plants.Chlorophyll in the epidermis of humans looks useful at first, but it's really tricky. How to deal with the color? The pigment Melanin gives us the color we have as well as the benefits that come with it. Would we be replacing it by Chlorophyll? 'cause that would be screwed up. We require the benefits of Melanin and not all are present in Chlorophyll, going by my knowledge, plants are susceptible to UV radiation too, probably more than we are. So now, that's not going to help us.And then, comes the transport system, how much would we need to mutate our internal transport system to deal with the energy? Almost all of the energy we get now is by oral intake and Vitamin D is synthesized in the bones and not in the skin. And then, would we need to modify the skin itself? 'cause replacing pigments is way too, Sci-Fi. What about activities like perspiration and what about hair follicles that are present in the dermis?
  10. "One century Magic is another century's Science."I think that says it all.Giving a thought about the "magic" on television isn't the brightest of ideas. Movies are much a better option if special effects, editing, CGI and such things interest you.Illusion as people have said is more likely it. The tricks. The tricks, the processes which make the reality unavailable for your neocortex to sense. Your own perception of things and as someone said, psychological effects could play a major role in what you define as "magic" for yourself.Simple verdict: Magic doesn't exist.
  11. Honestly, there's more to gymnastics and Olympic sports in general than that. Gymnastics is a 100 times more complex sport than it looks. I don't think popularity has really something to do with a game being an Olympic sport. Otherwise many Olympic sports would've been out and really bad "sports" like Cricket would've been in the picture. But yes, as many said it does look like more of a performance than a sport. Something you can have in between events but not as an event. I view it as good as cheerleading. And thankfully, cheerleading is not an Olympic sport. And again, there's the judging criteria. You can't really judge such an event. A factor that could be defining in a certain groups performance would not even be present in another group's performance or the entire layout of the performance might make that factor irrelevant. There are many things people compete in, but having all of them in the Olympics, we would have it running all 4 years straight. XD
  12. I remember the first night I spent awake, being ridden with insomnia from I guess atleast 5 years ... I've spent countless of them now.I was very young at that time. I guess I was just 10. I spent the entire night playing browser-based games setting new records which really used to be quite a lot of fun those times. XD Would've been fun talking to your friend and watching the Sun rise so beautifully throughout the night. With all that Vitamin D going into your bones, you kind of don't even feel like sleeping or even tired until after like 15 minutes spent on the bed.You definitely had some fun but well the sad part is that the next night sleepless won't be even close to as good as this. But well, you'll live.
  13. Now this is a common experience for all of us I guess. I, for obvious reasons, no longer see the point in commenting on a music video or a film trailer. There's always going to be fans who would make the use of every opportunity to diss you for whoever you are and like mainly for the immature and short-spanned sense of pseudo-superiority. Besides the obvious, there's no point in me making a comment in the first place. I like it or dislike it ... the world simply does not need to know and nothing's going to happen. It's a music video, it will air on MTV and gain money, it's a trailer, the film might just storm the Box Office even though you despised it.Besides, the "don't like, don't watch" motto has been used very, very broadly on YouTube. It was meant for people who go on digging up videos just to comment something completely retarded and derogatory about someone who has something to do with the video which is a whole lot different than criticism. And as far as I know, YouTube isn't really the most appropriate of all places to be criticizing things on. XDCommenting on other videos should never be much of a problem I guess unless someone goes like, "**** needs Jesus" XD It happened once on a live MuDvAyNe performance video and the guy went like, "MuDvAyNe needs Jesus" and it took the crowd 2 days to realize that this "discussion" shouldn't be happening since God has nothing to do with the video. It'll be a hilarious sight if someone does something like that on a generic video like a family backyard video or something. Or a kitchen experiment. :)Another annoying incident is when someone goes all, "don't diss if you can't do better" if you've posted any amount of criticism on a cover video just because you don't have a video of you doing it in a better way up. I mean how logical is it that just because you can't do something makes everyone else even an iota better than you completely right? That's really pissing off.--Moral of the story, keep your silence if you can't make it better. Speak only when needed. Speak only when your opinions would matter. You don't like a music video, it's not going to be taken off just because you don't like it anyway. So why waste your time?
  14. That's not a bug at all. It is the user's fault. When you try to scrap someone and that scrap requires notification, a captcha is generated. Now at the same time without posting this scrap, you type up another scrap which requires verification ... this generates another captcha which over-rides the earlier one. And hence, when you now try to finish up posting the earlier scrap it gives an error because that captcha isn't valid anymore for your computer because a new one has been generated.
  15. I think of that as the exact down-side. It can't be as collective and global as Wikipedia and besides there are always views opposing each other in various Scientific fields especially when it comes to experts of that field. Wikipedia is reliable too since every input is later evaluated by the community and all instances of vandalism are rectified soon. I really don't think Google will make much with Knol. Google can't re-invent the wheel. It didn't do all that great with Blogger and I don't think it will do all that good with this service too.
  16. Well, I basically agree with everything that everyone else has told you. Let's start with your friendship here first. He is a pretty good friend of yours, so I assume that he is a nice person. 'cause that's the only way you would've been his friend to start with. Next, if you can comprehend his goodness, so will God. You don't want to change who he is, right? So it doesn't matter what tag he has on his name. No one does and no one should. Changing yourself to anyone else's ways is just coming under impression or here, peer pressure. If he needs to believe, he needs to believe himself. It's unjust of you to call him egoistic just because he isn't in blind conformity, he needs to analyze and reach conclusions on his own. 'cause blind conformity is not what God would want. You'd probably get yourself a ticket to hell if you do this. It's irrespective, really. People seek help in faith because of the same reasons that you're pointing out. How many people do you know take shelters in Churches due to family problems? It really doesn't have anything to do with his past. He is a good person, that's the main point here. You don't need to worry about his eternity. I just hope my post counts and I get the credits. XD Last, what you should do is be a good friend to him. Let him be the great person he already is. If he makes a wrong choice in life, correct him through examples and evaluation. Not by faith. God needs to love you 'cause you are a good person, not because you call yourself a Christian.
  17. [1] No, it can't because the brain didn't release any painkillers, so, the skin must've gotten better. A brain can sense the malfunctioning of a certain part of the body without the person knowing it when it has released endorphin itself. Besides, you're right that it will in some time know that the skin is damaged, but without pain, it's completely futile. You need to understand pain better. Why is it that sometimes a sting of an insect (not an ant, where the acid does things) generates more pain than let's say, a bigger damage like the cut of a blade? For simple reasons. The brain needs to investigate faster and come up with better resistance against any poisonous chemicals or something. [2] At a much slower pace. Much slower pace. Besides, the Cocoa butter doesn't last all day long. So ofcourse, the skin won't maintain the slow pace all the time. [3] In small amounts. In the case of a sunburn, the new "almost-mature" skin takes time to replace the damaged skin. Due to the sheer quantity of the damage. Besides, I don't know about UVA, but UVB rays don't just damage the outer-most layer of epiderma, their damage goes way inside your body, and hence this takes time. I was just using it as an example. It has the same effects on the brain. In the case of endorphin, the brain doesn't receive any signals of pain, in the case of Cocoa butter, the brain doesn't receive any signals of pain because there aren't any being sent. Lack of pain slows down the process, right down to the pace where the skin would've regenerated even if it wasn't the case of a sunburn. You can always, ask a Doctor for this.
  18. Yes, for the second; it's soothing. No, for the first; it's not good because it is soothing. I might be drifting away from the topic, but it's still important. Pain is one of the things the Human body is blessed with. And I mean it when I say this. When your nerves transmit the pain to your brain, the brain is the organ which triggers the rest of the organs into self-defense. Your skin needs to know that it's not in a good condition to trigger a self-defense, which is faster regeneration of skin and production of melanin. Cocoa butter works as endorphin, which is an endogenous morphine-like substance which relieves your brain of pain or stress, or, blocks the signals from reaching your brain through the help of a barrier; name I can't recollect right now. It might be the Blood-brain barrier but I am not sure since I am not a Medical student. Feeling the soothness then hampers the skin's ability to regenerate itself and get halthier. Peeling and lack of ease are thus, important. If you've understood this, you know what else to do. Don't exercise, or take any form of stress. Stay in the house or in a vehicle for most of your time and wear hats. There are other things which you can do but they won't result in much increase in the speed. And endorphin is the exact chemical that is released during orgasms or when you really exhaust yourself after exercising. Heard about the Runners' High?
  19. I've never heard about dreams being a compensation for us actually achieving something we want. I've basically dreamt up of me dying in various situation 'til 2 years back. And no, they were no compensations for anything that I've ever wanted to be. Falling off from a cliffe, being at gun-point, waking up to being surrounded by the world's most poisonous snakes ... who would really want to be in these situations? Not me. I wasn't stimulated to enough emotions till then to be wanting to die. The "beast" dog wouldn't care about the "place" because he has no definition of road, public place, vehicles or whatever. We majorly consider sex as an explicit act and that's why we care for the location of the act. Comparing a man and a dog at these levels is overlooking hundreds of years of societal evolution. Besides, dreaming about sex would hardly be any compensation for anyone, I guess. And whoever says that Humans aren't Animals is just in denial. We Humans are made up of "Animal" cells itself. Alot of times, the "beast" inside a Human comes out, that's just natural instinct really. Besides, there are more than hundreds of things about us which would at first disturb you, then disgust you, then scare you and then hate yourself for being Human. The so-called "Civilized" organism. We are no better. We are wicked sick when we want to be. This is one interesting theory for sure. Although, I remember parts of a show I saw on Discovery about dreams and why they are so weird and sometimes, unreal. It mentioned something to do with only the part of the brain which visualizes to be active and the one which makes sense of it to be unactive. Now, due to this, we aren't able to make sense of the random imagery out of our memory or something our sub-concious paints based on what we've experienced. And, since the past 2 years, I've experienced alot of dreams where I have vented out my fears, frustrations and other strong feelings, most occasionally love. This happens to alot of us and you are not the only one. I've regretted forgetting many a dreams. There are some ways to recollect what you've dreamt if you time yourself right, but some of them can lead to serious psychological problems.
  20. 8 hours? Depending on your skin type, this might've been something you shouldn't have done. Honestly, too much exposure to UVB rays can be really life threatening. Don't intend to scare you but be really careful the next time. Use sunscreen creams next time and yes, Aloe Vera would be really good for your skin. Is the reddening going away? Time is the most important thing that can heal this, your skin's defense mecahnism is already at work. And please avoid anything greasy like oil, butter or anything else that is oil-solluble or has an oily base or solution. They might just hamper your skin's ability to treat itself. And yes, again, apply Aloe Vera as much as you can. Here are some links I got off Wikipedia which can help you; WebMD MedlinePlus And as far as the date is concerned, don't be much tensed about it. Act just like you always do and avoid any over-explaination as to why your skin's red and stuff. A simple "too much time in the sun I guess" should work with most guys and if it does not, I don't know, you just caught yourself someone really weird and attentive to unimportant things.
  21. It has the same positive effects for Women too. Infact, it even helps with menstrual cramps as I have heard and now confirmed with dwolters' links. This friend of mine used to always joke between the similarities of a good athletic run and orgasms. XD I agree here. XD Although they have been criticized alot since inclusion of cultural attitudes towards their research, like searching "cures" for homosexuality which just ended up being a psychological brainwash, they are one of the most prominent figures in Sexology. My friend who is a Med student tells me that teachers suggest M&J as an outside reference apart from the college curriculum. Actually, it's kind of different. Studies have shown that women are able to achieve better orgasms when they turn 35-40. That might just mean it takes them more time to understand their own body or something like that. But I don't think you can define sexual peak with the quality of orgasms. Besides, stimulation isn't the only thing behind orgasms, everything related to sex has a deep psychological root too. There are many things to be taken into account here. I don't think "whacking the willy" once or twice a day makes anyone an addict. It all depends on the person, really. Just like every other addiction. And I do think I was once addicted to masturbation. I never skipped school or any other priority because of that, but I did used to spend ALOT of my free time, or the time I gained through procrastination. But, the thing to be noted here is. Procrastination summed alot for the initiation of the addiction itself. So again, psychological reasons at play here too. Though it's fairly easy to get over any addiction when you realize the 'cause of it. Some "cures" are a better appetite, love (the psychological aspect of it, you obviously won't masturbate if you have sex) and activeness in other works, from experience.
  22. It is just punish someone when you know what they'll do anyway. He's God. He can't make mistakes while predicting/deciding the future. He is Omnipotent. I wouldn't. 'cause if I really interacted with him and he proved himself to me. There wouldn't be much left to argue. [1] Why did he let them commit me, be born when he knew I would commit them? Omniscience. Since my life starts 9 months before I think it did. How come he couldn't figure that out then? If I had to change. He should've known that already. Why am I an Atheist, then? Maybe, there's a dent in his Omniscience. [2] I didn't choose to commit them. Whatever I am doing, it's all in his knowledge and will, already. He knew whether I would commit sins or become a strict Christian (committing more immoral sins this way) then why this test when he knows the outcome? When he knows how much I'd score? Why must've the Universe burst out someday and why couldn't it always exist? If God is the fundamental being as everything came from him, why can't all the elements in Nature be that instead? Are we really that egoistic that we want God to have a Human-like form? Or do we want to pride ourselves saying that we are in his form? Multi-objective viewpoint. Frame of reference? And we can't help that the Universe is objective, can we? And yes, alot of things have come from Faith. So many, that many have had enough. Probably because of the lack of knowledge of other religions or the way through brainwash, how Christianity has come about to be known much as the Global Religion. The only good way I can think of Christianity spreading was from schooling. I come to a Christian school myself, some of the best education in the entire World. Read something on the Christianization Of Scandivinia if you want to debate on the entire brainwash thing. You just overlooked more than 5,000 years of Human history. Yes, it did hurt to believe. Yes, you're demeaning the lives of a million by saying that it didn't. You have no right. This isn't a Moral Science class and we are not 3rd graders. You need to do better.
  23. Speaking on addiction to masturbation. Any kind of addiction, is bad and totally unhealthy. And of course, totally unadvocatable. And every addiction has some psychological reason, of course. You can't "define" this reason since it of course varies from person to person as much DNA does. From personal experience, masturbation is often a result of sheer boredom. I have hardly ever compromised on any of my priorities for it. When I was addicted for a certain time period, it was because of boredom and procrastination. The heavy increase in the frequency then led to the addiction and that is when I started compromising on some minor priorities. And on the health part. It is a natural way of release of pent-up sexual energy just like sex and nightfalls. It's healthy till some extent, but like every addiction, it's dangerous when it becomes one. But I don't agree with it causing sexual depression if not done. That's a completely wrong assertion. It all depends on how sexually active the person is. Sometimes, even problems coping up with addictions are misinterpreted to be sexual depression, but that's of course not the case. Once you're addicted, it definitely helps "brighten" you up. But once you're not, it doesn't make that much of a difference. Once is a while (say, 2 days) is highly advocated by me, though. Helps as a stress-reliever.Urban legend and common sense. You won't feel like masturbating when you're eating. So hog. ;)I suggest you watch the movie "Cyber Seduction: His Secret Life", It deals with addiction to pornography. It's how his addiction takes over his other priorities and thus in the end, almost destroys his life.
  24. Well, I have 2 that come to my mind right now. First is really simple, boiled vegetables with salt, pepper and some additional spices if you want. Second is, a vegetarian sandwich. Ingredients: Potatoes. Onions. Tomatoes. Coriander. Bread. Butter. Hari Chutney. (Spicy condiment made of coriander or mint and coriander together.) Salt and grounded red chili. Directions: [1] Boil the potatoes. I usually do this the earlier night if I plan on having these for breakfast. [2] Layer the bread slice with butter. This is a very important step, if you skip this, the chutney will dampen the bread and then tear it apart because of it's high liquid content. You need to spread the chutney over the butter. [3] Peel the boiled potatoes, mash them up and add salt, grounded red chili, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions and coriander according to the expected taste. [4] Place half a palm of mashed potatoes in the bread and then another layer of bread on top, with butter and chutney. [5] Level it up and toast this in the sandwich toaster. [6] Serve with additional chutney or tomato ketchup as some may like. I don't really know if this is nutritious, but it's not oily, just heavy on carbohydrates due to all the potatoes. It's delicious nonetheless. XD Besides, I am not vegetarian. Just being in a vegetarian household, you don't really get to learn many non-vegetarian dishes.
  25. It's not that simple, really. "Who created us? What's our purpose in life?" And the same old answered questions again and again. How? By understanding the true nature of things. Human life did begin sometime, but when we know why and how, what's the reason to believe? Life's reasons are completely subjective and the Universe doesn't need to be controlled. Human's perspective. Hmm. Weren't we over this argument long back? "Shooting arrows along tangents never bursts the bubble." You still assume upon that he has to exist, the only variability here is that he's made up of different energy but no "proof of God" is ever complete without assuming the very answer in the start. "Good" and "evil" are subjective, but the World doesn't comprise of them alone. The psychological characteristics of life are subjective, not reality as a whole. Reality is subjective for no one, until in effect under hallucinogenics, responsiveness without stimuli. A very important stage of evolution according to one of the most interesting theories I've ever stumbled across. We didn't always have "civilized behavior" under our belt until we invented what's known as a civilization. We're a step above in the ladder of evolution doesn't mean we can cut ourselves off and ignore our known history. The laws we are bound to have been made by ourselves and wouldn't have meant an iota of what they do unless our society was shaped in this certain way. Society will evolve like it always has, and with it, language, culture, laws and religion would too. Ignorance and assumptions. An animal can put their life at stake to save someone of the same species. Ever seen Discovery? Or was it too much of a heresy for you to watch it? When have Humans always defended their own kind? Infact, we kill more of our own kind than any other animal. Survival of the fittest is everywhere, in school, in work, in a family, in the entire social outfit. Well, animals compete in the evolutionary ladder. We waste our time on the social ladder. "Act like an animal" for that? Tell me, what would've you done is something of that sort happened to you? Acted like an animal? Which you very well are like all of us? I agree morality cannot be defined in a general sense in either case but in the case of superiority, you have to take alot more things than that into concern. Agreed. Though nothing can make me not wish it was different.
