Don't pay too much attention to them, they sound jealous to me.

I have found that AVG Antivirus works the best for removing viruses. Its very light and runs in the backround.

Its amazing how far technology has progressed. I remember when I was about 3 years old when my Dad got a new computer. State-of-the-art, it ran at about 66 MhZ, and had Windows 95 on it. It had an 80846 for the processor and a 200 megabyte hard drive. I find it funny that my whole music collection takes 10 of those old hard drives.

I still have yet to start school, I start on September 1st. I'm going to be a sophomore this year, and I am looking forward to the new school year and being able to catch up with the people I haven't seen this summer.

What Would You Do If There Was No Internet? hmm...
ghostrider replied to whyme's topic in Science and Technology
If the internet wasn't there, I would probably invent something similar to the internet. -
Be careful which services you disable tho, some services may be needed for Windows to be ran properly. Virus scanning, registry cleaning, defragmenting, and spyware scanning are also effective ways of increasing your computers speed.

It is the parents responsibility to make sure that their children do the right thing on the internet and are safe. There are many ways for this to happen. Responsible parenting will teach children not to abuse women and the difference between right and wrong. The internet should not be censored. As the person above said, Freedom and censorship do not fit together.

What I would do is just eloborate on the topics you already have. For example, the production of plastics also created latex. Latex is what makes the majority of condoms. You can talk about what condoms have done for us, like STD prevention and preventing unwanted pregnancies. Have you covered diseases when you talked about medicine? Chemistry also gave your teacher a job , although I'm not sure whether or not that changed the course of the history of chemistry.

That's very very freaky. I don't think the terrorists are that smart though. People who are angry enough to plot killing thousands of innocent people don't seem to have much insight to me.

No matter where you go advertising is going to be false. The point of advertising is to sell or market a product, and companies will do anything to make sure their product sells. I don't mind the commercials where the product in question is actually good, but the ones that suck annoy me. The ones that tell you to text message some number to get stuff on your phone are annoying and suck too.

I have a motorola V557 and its a great phone. It has voice dial, a nice camera that produces 640x480 pics, a video camera, voice recording, bluetooth, and of course has the internet. It also has T9, but I hate it, I can text faster without it trying to guess the word I want to type.

I absolutly hate going through disorganized code. Comments are necessary for other people to understand your work, and they really help with debugging other people's or your own software. I guess there are always people that will think their code is obvious in the way it works and not comment, or programmers that just don't comment their code because they're to lazy.

I'm new to using the FPU in assembly, the 'Stack Fault' bit in the Status Word is always set, and I'm not quite sure what this means. Has anyone else encountered this problem? My code is posted below. It will eventually take a 64-bit variable and turn it into a number that a human can understand. Securing A Php Script Proccessing Input I need help and advice
ghostrider replied to shadowx's topic in Programming
There is a function in php called striptags() that removes all HTML from a string. This will also block out any Javascript because you need the script tag to write JavaScript. The link below explains the function. http://us2.php.net/manual/en/function.strip-tags.php As for blocking IP addresses, I would simply have a MySQL database and fill it up with IP addresses that are blocked and then check each time the page loads to see if the IP is blocked, and whether it has been 5 minutes or not. Another thing you could do is have the guestbook script email you to make sure it isnt spam, and then write another script that adds it to the guestbook, however this isn't exactly the fastest routine and requires some work on your part. Blocking IPs permanently doesn't sound like the best idea to me, remember IP addresses can change. If you need any help feel free to PM me. -
Welcome to Xisto! This community has many great people and many things to talk about on the forums. The hosting is great, too .

Mine starts on either September 1st or 2nd but ends on June 9th or 10th. I'm going to make a countdown thing in PHP and put it in my AIM profile to see how many seconds are left in school sometime this year.

I think that Google may become as big as Microsoft, but even if they don't there forcing Microsoft to come up with better applications faster to keep up with the pace that Google is producing them. Either way its good for us.

Watch Your Dvds On Your Ipod, Psp, Or Even Your Mobile Phone!
ghostrider replied to eDeals.ws's topic in General Discussion
It doesn't sound illegal to me, assuming you already bought the DVD, you should be able to change it into whatever format you want, I mean you did spend your money on it and as long as you aren't sharing it it doesn't sound illegal. I'm going to try this for my phone. -
I usually only shorten words when I'm talking on AIM, but that's only because its easier and I usually talk to a lot of people at once. On messageboards, forums, and e-mails I try to talk as proper as I can. I think that the way you spell and puncuate (sp?) can show a lot about a person's intelligence.
