I understand what your saying and the plan may actual work if it wasn't for one small problem. Not everyone can afford to buy a new car. Most of the cars that run of of e85 Ethanol are all new cars and are a tad bit more expensive then just a normal car. Because the cars are so new there are very few used ones on the market as well. Plus the fact that if this happens, Car companies are going to milk every dime out of you, by rasing the prices of cars that run off of e85 Ethanol, because of everyone needs to get that type of car. Got to love Supply and Demand. So everyone who can't afford one left to either walk or use public transportation. Not to bring my town into this, but if this where to happen, no one would be able to get to work because most people in my town work 10-20 miles or more outside of town and we have no public transportation either. So basically the economy would colapse in my town that is outside the college. Next thing, heres a differn't suggestion on how to go about this. Instead of requireing everyone to get a car that runs off of e85 ethanol, perhaps give people taxs breaks (or something like that) to people who use those vehiecals. This was actually proposed for hybrid cars a while back.

Well I kind of know how shampoos and conditions work. Shampoos basically work like soap for your hair, just it more gental to prevent stripping on the hair follicle. Shampoos for diffent types of hair do behave differntly on the hair its self, just because of various ingredients in the shampoo and how the effect the hair. For instance, for Fine hair shampoo, the ingredients in the shampoo are mostly to prevent build up on the hair.Conditions on the other hand work like lotion for your hair. Improving the Texture and helping repair damage. Differnt types of conditions for differnt types of hair (and uses) do effect the hair differntly. Such as a condition for Frizzy hair would normally have heavier moisturizers to prevent flyways. I got all my information at Wikipedia and a friend of mine's cosmopolgy (Excuse my Spelling) textbook. I hope I help alittle.

Mircrosoft "ipod Killer", Mp3 Player Wars picture and info
Madkat-Z replied to hedzup's topic in Science and Technology
As an honest opinion, I would love to see any thing take out the IPod. Its making Macintosh get a big head and think they are the greatest computer company in the history of man kind. Plus the fact you have to pay an arm and a leg to get an IPod. I got my MP3 play for less then the cost of an IPod with the same amout of space. It came with more features as well, such as a built in Microphone and a FM Radio. I think the only thing keeping the IPod alive is the college student crowd. The only reason I say this is because thats about the only place I see an IPod anymore is on my college's campus. -
Jeepers Creepers Best Horror Movie Ever go and answer the poll
Madkat-Z replied to Guevara's topic in General Discussion
Ok, I really disliked this movie for a few things. One, the plot line was horriable to follow. It jumped way too much around, especaily at the end. I felt the most of the characters where poorly done and undeveolped because of the plot line as well. The use sound score of "Jeepers Creepers" as the title and as a reaccuring theme has been done in plenty of other movies, which I'm not going to yell this movie is copy cat flick, but the movie did not use this techneqe very well in the movie. They used the song way too much for it to be effective during the movie. This is one of the few movies that I belive did not deserve a sequal at all, at least done by the same people. I did however like the idea they had for the monster, but it was so poorly exacuted that monsters greatness was destroyed. This is a prime canadate for my many reasons why I like older moives better then newer ones. Ok, I'm done on my rant and please excuse any spelling errors. -
Don't all the presidents yap about absoultey nothing that only a few people care about? Its a fact of the posistion, you have to yap about everything that you can, even if only three people in the United States care about in order to try and get there vote in the next election. Next thing, I'm alittle tired of hearing about people Bushbashing. Yes, I'm being a tad bit hypocritical, but I'm serious. Get over it, most of America doesn't care for Bush because he got us into an so called "War", even though he won the election, which means the people of America wanted to have Bush as our president. Every president who started a war has lost public appeal, including the presidents during the wars we have won. I'm not saying I support Bush, but he's our president and we should stop fighting over weither Bush should be in office or not and deal with the problems we have already. So he put us into a "war" and we have gas prices going threw the roof supposivelly because of him, but impeaching him isn't going to solve the darn problem, if any thing its going to make it worse.

It sounds like a good idea, but I think the voice interface maybe a downfall of it. We are so use to typing in stuff, it might be hard for people to adjust to the voice interface. The other thing is I think its easier and more accurate to input data via typing instead of speaking it out. Lets say you say "John", the voice program once it converts it over to text may think you said "Pohn", instead of "John". This theory is actually leading to my theory that we are going to have Cell Phone so small we are going to have them implanted into our heads.

Ok, I'm against this because its just another way for the govement to get more of our money. Instead of rounding everything two desimal(excuse my spelling) places, it would only be one. Eventually those pennies and nickels will start adding up to where you could be losing a good $50.00 a year. I'm not trying to be greedy, but I give enough money in taxes and they are not doing a good job spending it. So why should I give them more? Plus, the added fact that if we where to go back into a depression, where only coin currency counted, we would all have less money.

Ok, I wasn't too sure weither this topic would be better under Internet or Software, so if it is in the wrong place please forgive me. I have a question about web browsers. I currently use Firefox and I was wondering if there is a way to get FireFox to display CSS Scrollbars, like Opera and Internet Explore do. I've currently looked at the FireFox Add-On site and did a few searches on Google and I have come up with nothing and I'm getting a strange suspision that there is no way to do such a thing. If anyone can help I will be forever grateful.

I don't know about the robots, but who really knows. I do think that google is not really a spy, but is trying to take over the world just like Walmart and McDonalds it could be possable. Especailly now with Google Earth you can now really spy on anyone you want to, which I find rather disturbing.

Is Christianity Just Another Religion Or Its Superior
Madkat-Z replied to nustadventist's topic in General Discussion
I don't think Christianity or any other religion is superior to another. If anything Christianity is just to me seems the most popluar one where I am from and it kind of drives me nuts when I see people saying "God is the only way!" I'm sorry if I offend anyone, but...Ugh get over yourselves, if God was the only way then we wouldn't have a choice in what we belive and besides, you don't even know your way is right. Anyway keeping my cool on this subject, my personal belief is if a religion tells me that it is superior to all religions, then it is not a religion I want to belive in. -
I've used Dreamweaver, Frontpage, Paint Shop Pro 7, Adobe PhotoShop and Notepad before. I mostly use a combination of Frontpage and notepad. I use Frontpage or Dreamweaver to make the "Template" for my layout, make graphics with Paint Shop Pro 7 and Adobe, and then do the error checking for my code with Notepad. ;)I don't advice using Dreamweaver or Frontpage with out knowing some HTML first, because I dislike for the extra code the programs throw in that you don't need. Plus the fact that extra code can screw up your layouts and unless you know HTML it can be impossable to fix.

Yeah, at my college I could still tell who the nerds and the "social butterflies" where and even a few new onces, such as the "Partiers" and "Mothers", but the social sterotype doesn't have as much of an effect as it did in high school and middle school. College was the first time I actually talked to people without fear of getting "picked on". I don't know wither it was my class I took on arguing or just the fact that everyone was more mature (for the most part), but I felt more at ease talking to people. Most of the classes I've been in have been mixed classes, with people coming from differnt backgrounds, parts of the world, and compeletly differnt majors. This I think basically makes lables obsolete in college, because your classes can be so mixed that there is no one from your same label and you have to drop all the sterotypes.

Well I would say look on the bright side. The Now CD series is on 20 something and they at least have the real singers. I agree they need to at least get better singers or even just pay the extra money to have the real artist sing the song. Since they are on Vol. 9 they should have enough money to buy some decent singers or even get the real artists into it instead of just buying the rights to the song.

I dislike the use of "labels" in American Society, mostly because no one fits into an exact label and it makes people be forced to conform. I never really had a label, because I don't fit into any catagory. When I was in middle school I was a combination of "Outcast"/ "Nerd". If there was a label put on me now, I wouldn't even know what to call myself because I don't fit into any catagory now. I'm so glad I'm in college so I don't have to deal with this as much as I did.

I agree. You shouldn't take your kids to see a mature movie at all, unless they can be quite and understand that its just a movie and not real life. If you want to see the movie so bad, but can't get a babysitter or leave the kid at home, then you should wait for it to come out in stores. This I agree on as well. This is because half the time they don't make very appropriate (excuse my spelling) comments (aka: Making comments that should be heard in an R movie and not in a PG movie). It drives me nuts when I hear these comments and there are younger childern around. If you can't keep your comments to yourself, then wait for the DVD to come out.

She may be just staring into oblivion, just spacing out or more or less daydreaming. I've been asked that question so many times when I space out its sad. Half the time I'm not really looking at anything, but if I am its at something behind the person or an object near the person. It rather ticks me off when people just assume you are staring at them and don't consider that you may be just staring at something else. One time, I had spaced out looking at the floor off in the distance of our gym and the next thing, I'm basically getting pushed over, and starts asking me "Why are you staring at me?" as if I was some pervert. I tried by best to explain that I was looking at the floor and not her, but she kept on talking asking me all these questions as if I was stalking her.

The only thing I can offer you is that Macs tend to be better for making graphics and working with sound and film. PC's tend to be better if you like gaming and are more into doing software programing and they are easier to upgrade hardware wise.I don't know too much about the new MacBooks, but one thing I would look for if you are buying a mac, is how well the cooling system works. Mac has some very strange designs and I have run into a few where the cooling system doesn't work as well as it should and it gets rather hot. I have only witnessed this in the desktops, where they try to fit the tower in to the monitor. I hope this helps you in your decision.

Yeah LCD screens are nice idea for a cellphone, but its going to cost you an arm and a leg to fix the darn thing or get a new one if it gets broken. From the looks of it, if you just tap the screen it would break.

I've been on the both sides of this issue. I know its rather annoying to have someone following you around, but I have been on the other side of the issue. Most people do it without even realizing it actually, which is the sad part. When I was in middle school I barely had any friends, what ended up when people ended up being nice to me, I took it as sympthy for my situation more then anything, but this was the first time people actually made an attempt at being nice to me, so I ran with it and tried to become friends with the person. I joined the person at lunch a few times and talk to her in class, but I didn't follow her at all. What ended up happening is, of course, is the friends of the person started picking on me (their version was asking a ton of dumb questions in order to confuse which made my anwsers seem dumber then the question or seem like an abnormal anwser) and the person would join right in. Kind of like luring the sheep to the slaughter. So it was a hopeless case. So, I gave up on trying to become friends with them and instead, became rather bitter towards them. A few weeks later the person tried to say "Sorry about her friends, I only wanted you off my back, can we still be friends?" What I told her "Really if your so sorry, why did you join them? Friends don't let friends pick on friends." and I walked off. A week later there was a rumor going around that I was "mean to people and even more mean to my best of friends." Whats said is I never considered her as a best friend at all. I'm not saying that you are being mean to the person by saying "Just give me some space", but at least do it in a way that will hurt there feelings in the least amount. From what I've noticed is that this is normally a phase a person goes threw. I've noticed it most commonly happens in middle school and can even last threw the high school. It is normally caused by a lack of having a social interaction and the more you talk with the person the less and less the will follow you around, because they start getting sick of you. I'm hoping my advice doesn't back fire, but thats how I normally deal with people like that.

In the science world a monkey is a animal, so you are wrong there. Come to think about it, before we even evolved to who we are to day all we where was basically an amoeba. The board was not really about whether animals should be killed or not. I personally believe that its ok to kill an animal to sustain your survival, but nothing more. Just a note, but animals rarely will waste there energy on killing something just for "hahas", and if that's the case then animals must have some short of emotions to be able to have that thought process. Anyway, Everything would die off if something didn't keep some animals in check. The board however was about animal abuse, intentional harm to an animal without a reason or cause. Some how it seems the board got sent over to the issue that we shouldn't kill animals at all. I think there are reason where it is ok kill an animal, but those reason are far and few between and it shouldn't be in a way that we would considered cruel and inhumane if you did it to a human.

Religion Shouldn't Be Inherited? Yes? No? I donno.
Madkat-Z replied to broflovski's topic in General Discussion
I believe that at a young age you should take your parents religion until you are old enough to make a desision on your own. However, I do belive that by making you follow your parents religion may lead to brain washing by the parents of some childern. Trust me, with my religion is hit really hard by other religous groups (mostly Christans) who brain wash their kids into believe that my religion is "evil". I don't think parents should say to their kids that their religion is the only religion, but I think they should use their religion as an example at first and the let your child slowly start learning about other religious beliefs and eventually they will start to create their own beliefs and eventualy find their religion of choice (if there is one). -
What Is God? simple question, hard to answer
Madkat-Z replied to heavensounds's topic in General Discussion
I'm rather stuck on the issue really. God is something that you create in your own mind, not from some book or someone else opinion. For some people, God is many differnt beings, some God is a man, others a women. Its really a question to have a black and white anwser to it. My belief is God (Gods, Goddess, Cow, Donkey, whatever) just the human explination for things we can and cannot control.
