  1. People invented tojans, viruses, and other malicious sorts of things because they can. Everything exists, or will exist, if it is possible. Thus, people found ways to make people's computers blow up and stuff (not literally...), so people started using the technology they invented and it spread to others, and now every single person in the world who knows how to give someone some malicious piece of software considers themself the best computer hacker to exist in the world.Sorry for straying off, though, people invented such stuff to make other people's lives a living hell. And probably for competition too, inter-company competition and stuff.
  2. I am not able to login to my cPanel using the HTTP password request that pops up when I go to my /cpanel, but when I click cancel and it brings me to the cpanel login screen I am able to login successfully. I am also unable to authenticate any of my passwords via my FTP client. I've made a custom account, used the root account, and used some other main accounts (using the main password). I didn't mistype the password 10 times in a row. What's the deal? Anyone else having this problem? o_O And yes, I am typing @sfusy.trap17.com Notice from mayank: Edited Topic Title
  3. OMG dude My school gets out so late this year. June *BLEEP*ing 15th! Can you believe that? Any who... This grading period I got: yay 4.0 Dude my health class is so retarded. It's the same as my "Strategies for Success" class and "College/Career" class. ... finals are the last 3 days of school too. that's going to suck. oh well.
  4. I notice most (implying NOT all) of the people that say they hate school don't type with proper English. hmm? edit: I agree with you so much! I enjoy learning from the competent teachers, though.
  5. So you believe that only preists and very religious people are able to determine whether or not something having to do with Christianity, or any other religion, is true or not? Why not talk to everyone else, get input on it from everyone, rather than one qualified person why not a bunch of somewhat-qualified people?
  6. Problem: The shoutbox's spam filter thing seems to be turned off.
  7. They look for active students in the community who show leadership and talent in academics and other extra-curricular things. Lots of very good schools take in extra-curriculars a lot more than grades and stuff, though grades and SAT's definitely matter.
  8. Well there are several options as to why this occured. Either your school district is horribly stupid and was unable to express what happened in an intelligent and logical fashion, the court that made the decision was bribed (one way or another, but unlikely...) or is mindlessly un-intelligent, or the teacher in question was actually SMART, and perhaps should not have been fired int he first place, but instead instructed as to what she was doing wrong. Actually, if I was in your place I would be pissed off as well. THere is nothing that I despise more than an incompetant teacher. They ruin school and learning.
  9. leeleelee, please quote your post. I also agree that it is a cycle, or it is forming a cycle (as in it will eventually fix itself if we let it get to far). But I think that we (as human beings) have the ability to stop it from getting too much worse. We will stop burning fossil fuels suddenly if we don't start reducing the amount we are using RIGHT NOW, or else we will all of a sudden run out of fuels and lots of chaotic things will occur all at once for EVERYONE. Though 95% of all species may have died out, and we very well might be next, were all of the other species AWARE of the fact that 95% of them died out? We have much more of a chance of survival with our thinking capacity than the others. Why are we condemning ourselves to extinction by destroying our mostly functional ecosystem? You need to worry about Global Warming now, as we are allready experiencing the affects of it (see my previous post)! IT's just going to get worse, and the rate at which it gets worse will increase as its affects take place (Less ice caps = less "cold" coming from them = more heat just from that, not to mention the warming that occurs from global warming alone).
  10. I have "pondered" over this sort of thing throughout the entirety of my elementary school years, and I continuously think about it in my life right now. I have to say though, it's not as much the meaning of life that gets me, but rather the meaning of death. Life isn't hard to imagine at all, we experience it ALL THE TIME (literally... almost). However, Death. Death is mysterious. We aren't aware of our ability, or inability, to know what death is like. We aren't able to, or if we are we are completely unaware of the fact, communicate with those who have moved on out of life into death. So Death seems a lot more interesting to me rather than life, because I know all about life. I'm participating in life right now.
  11. Highschool prepares you for the social problems (not just friends and other relationships...) you will have to go through in life to come, AND it gives you a good education if you strive to receive it, AND you get to have fun with your friends all at the same time.
  12. Actually, it IS happening right NOW, which is definitely in your life time (unless you're no longer alive when I'm typing this reply...) We have seen the affects of Global Warming: Look at the friggin Hurricanes! More heat = More [bad] Weather. Weather is mostly made up of convection cells, and other things similar to that, which equalize the heat on the surface of the Earth. The more heat there is, the more extreme the weather will be as there will be more of a force driving it. We are seeing Global Warming's effects already, and they will simply get WORSE as we age, unless we put a stop to it now. That's BS. Too many scientists in the world disagree for that to be true. Impossible.
  13. I don't think of it as being a barrier, rather just an end of the range of matter, followed by an infinite void. That is the definitioin of the Universe as we know it, and if there was something else that ran parallel to it, or another one of it in some other form, the combination of both would either still be represented by the word "Universe," or the definition of unverse as we know it would have to be changed in order to allow such a thing to exist. He is right, as I was when I first stated this earlier in the discussion, that the definition of the word Universe allows for only 1 Universe to exist at all, period. Keep the discussion goin' people! It's quite fun
  14. Myspace is over-rated. I have one, and participate occasionally, but not so much. I check it about once or twice a week... Xanga powaa.
  15. I play bball a lot, and I've been following the scores recently. Go Suns! yeah..
  16. what does C0-ErED mean?I'm stuck on level 8.And I know the two keys being covered, but what do I do with that? And what's the "I know you hate it" mean?o_O Confuzzling.
  17. OMFG I had the answer the whole time but stupid firefox didn't work. =PNow it's super easy. Like the first thing I tried, except firefox messed me up =(edit: talkin' about level 6. now for level 7...
  18. I have a very interesting twist that occurs when comparing Xanga to Myspace. About half of my friends have Myspace, and the other half use Xanga. I have both, and use both, but I am much more active on xanga because it's simply a blog. You give comments to quality posts, not just random comments for no specific reason. It's more of a blog than Myspace, which is a whole popularity contest group of everyone.
  19. I was just thinking. About light. Suppose there existed a room that was made up of ONLY walls, and there existed nothing except pure air inside the room, and there was a single hole in which it was one of those 1-sided mirrors (light goes in, but not out). If you shined a laser, or any light, into the hole, would the light keep on reflecting on and off the mirrors forever? I believe it would. What do you guys think? My reasoning for thinking that it would is that there are a certain amount of options. 1) The light is absorbed by the air (which is conceivable after a long amount of time of reflection, i suppose...) and the air is heated; 2) The light is absorbed by the mirrors, and the mirrors are heated (but should not happen if they are real mirrors); 3) The light somehow exits the room and is absorbed by other stuff; 4) the light keeps on reflecting.I don't thinkt hat the first three would happen, and that leaves only the fourth one left. Perhaps it wouldn't reflect FOREVER, as the air would probably absorb it eventually... but, if that's the case, then what would be the case if there was NOTHING inside the room except the light that enters it? What if it was a vacuum, with literally NOTHING inside it? Assuming that is possible, then it is even less arguable that the light could do anything else besides keep reflecting. What are all your opinions? Keep in mind, I'm just thinking. I haven't done much research at all in this field, but it crossed my mind and interested me.
  20. or different places in the same dimension and the same universe.
  21. welcome to the trap 17 community. enjoy the forums, and the hosting.
  22. The question is, which one is it "meant" to do? =DBut seriously, it doesn't really matter as you can get back to the main forum index without much pain. In fact, I've never clicked the logo before until now =p
  23. All you have to do is get a decent spyware and a decent anti virus program. AdAware will suffice, and is free. I forgot some of the good free anti viruses, but I know there are some decent free ones out there.
  24. Honestly, I have no idea. Either other molecules that are smaller, or nothing (miniscuel vacuums). That depends on what specific kind of molecule you are walking through, and at what temperature and pressure it is under...
