  1. You said that "I'm also behind a router, but I'm not sure it it has a firewall." Virtually ALL routers today come with in-built firewalls.
  2. Wouldn't that end up being a browser within a browser? o_O
  3. opening 'cmd' instead of 'command' of some of the newer windows versions works a bit better when loading the prompt.edit: WOW. You guy 831 ms average for Xisto? I got 32. You must be on dialup or something?
  4. Has anyone played Driver 1? They have Driv3r now, and it's not too great... but when Driver first came out it was an awesome driving game. Has anyone played it? I still have my copy, and play it every once and a while.
  5. I don't have it, though I believe it is much faster.
  6. I have on-and-off internet experiences. I'll go uber internet geek mode for like a month or two, then I won't view a forum for another month or two, then I'll come back and do it again. But yeah, I stop when I simply get bored posting on forums. Sometimes my internet sprees are longer/shorter, but generally they last about 2 months.

...damn. Nothing else to say. =p
  8. Yeah. I definitely consider it one of the best political sci-fi's (perhaps second to 1984? or Animal Farm ). It's one of my favorite books, as well. Ray Bradbury is a great author, and I like his short stories as well as this "long story." It has become a classic, and wasn't it banned some places? Or maybe that was another book. It's a wonderful and exciting read.
  9. Hah. I finally watched i, Robot (I still have yet to read the book, unfortunately). It's an interesting concept. Will robots be protecting us from ourselves by oppressing and controlling us?And I think that, if a robot does start harming humans, it will be because humans told them to. Either an accident (of some sort...) or a programmed "attack." I don't think that it is possible for robots to spring out and suddenly start killing people.
  10. II have never experienced this specific error ever before in my gmail experience as of yet. However, I have experienced similar-ish problems to this. I don't actually remember what the specific error was, anymore. It was a while ago. Ah, right... So I would log in, and while it was loading it would never continue (It got passed the page with just "Loading..." in the left, then it went to the AJAX part with Loading... in the righthand top corner), and eventually I got that same old "Oops! Gmail has made a mistake" or something like that. And it happened over and over again. Then I tried again 15 minutes later and it was gone. I think they made a "typo" of sorts in a patch of a script or something... Yeah, but if gmail gets slower, Google will supply more servers and it will quicken up. They always do...
  11. Hmm. This is a very interesting and useful thing! And it is good that it is being "run" by a quite decent and well known anti virus company, such as McAfee. I'm surprised that this is the first time that I have heard of this, especially since I am currently a McAfee customer/subscriber. I've already downloaded it, and am using it now. Sweetsauce!
  12. Wow. That is quite thin, if I do say so myself!! That would be useful, as any thin screen would be useful. You could put that on a wall instead of wallpaper! Hey, that's an idea...
  13. I don't like playing soccer, though I enjoy watching it. And I don't enjoy watching golf, unless its in Happy Gilmore.
  14. Simple!! It's Summer, don't pick up when she's calling and don't call her. Tada. You won't see her for the rest of the Summer and you can deal with school later.I should apply to be an advise columnist, shouldn't I? Sorry I'm unable to be very helpful
  15. Coolio, dude!! I just finished my first year of high school (9th) two days ago as well!! It's a big relief, having a Summer to reflect (And waste doing pointless things) the first year of high school.I've got to admit, though, that this first year of high school wasn't amazingly challenging. My middle school prepared me very well, as it was quite harder and the teachers were very difficult. I'm getting 95+%'s in almost all my classes, yet everyone who isn't from my middle school is like failing. I'm taking mostly all honors courses. And next year, if scheduling permits, I'll be taking AP Statistics!!! I'm Muy muy excited! Ha. And I got elected into the student government thing, so that will all keep me busy next year and will make my college app. look good.Speaking of College, don't slack off your sophomore year, I've heard from numerous people that that is the year that colleges weigh the most.So GL to all of you, and may your educational career be full of success and enjoyment.
  16. The question isn't "What is God?," but rather "What is not God?" And the answer to what the question is is nothing, according to the beliefs I believe in. Don't even try making it a tangible thing.
  17. I'm going into 10th grade, and I read Of Mice and Men in 8th grade. It wasn't a very exciting read, though the book was definitely not boring. It was quite short and to the point, so it didn't lag around explaining pointless stuff as much as some other books do. I liked it more than disliked it.But yeah I would never suggest not reading a book you and everyone else are reading. My friend held off reading all the books that he read in his Honors english class (at the most academically challenging school in San Francisco), and had to read The Oddesy along with like 4 other novels/books for his final at the last minute and like got a D or maybe an F. So it isn't the smartest thing to do.

Yeah I still think the Mavs have it in the ball because of the homegames they have at the end, even if the heat wins again. Dwane Wade is quite good, and he makes most of his three-pointers, but he doesn't take many of them. He showboats a lot, too.And as far as those white shirts go, it sucks!! The Miami uniform blends in with it exactly, which totally makes them harder to see. Especially when they're by the edge, I didn't even notice this one guy thn they passed it to him. So that's a downside. =p
  19. On my Dell, it's F2, not F1. Maybe that's the case for you, too. And I personally prefer live chat to phone because I can never understand them when the people from who-knows-where (India?) answer the phone. It can take longer, but the information can be transferred more clearly.

Oh my F G!!!!!!! Dude how impossible was that win!!! They were down by 10, then came back and were up by 13, and then they lost it all in like 5 minutes. Can't believe it. Seriously. AHHHHHHHHHHh.Shaq's been practicing his freethrows. He played pretty good. He should trip while he's hustling upcourt some day. That'd be funny.
  21. Yeah, it is somewhat retarded, in a cool-retarded kind of way. If you know what I mean. Hah.I wonder what the maximum is you are allowed to have to the left of the @ sign?
  22. I use FTP for multiple files, cPanel when I just want one (in which case I usually have my browser open already anyway... control t, url, pass, click, click, click, click, done) or if I'm not at my computer with my FTP client already on it. I use Core-FTP, but I'm considering switching as its kinda slow.

haha you guys are all wrong.i was going for the suns. steve nash is one sexy guy. no not really...But yeah now i'm going for the Mavs cuz I hate the heat (and Shaq... the big loaf who can't play basketball).I wish the Suns beat the Mavs, though =(
  24. My theory is that Harry is the last unknown horcrux (Voldemort made him one when he tried to kill him the first time), and thus when all the other horcruxes are destroyed (which will occupy the most of book 7), he will kill himself and then voldemort will die again muhaha. Yeah.More interestingly, who the ef is RAB, or w/e those initials were?Edit: My bad guys, I didn't bother reading all the posts. Apparently someone said my idea already =p
  25. Hows about two identicle pieces of buttered toast? And as far as the cupholder idea goes, it's a great one and would greatly decrease the amount of accidents that occur when one spills one's coffee on one's self. But I'm too young to know about that, can't drive yet -.-
