Also, im not sure if its in the tutorials, but if you want a page to be displayed first (You do!), it must be called either "index.htm", "index.php", "index.html", "index.xml".... you get the idea! If you dont include a page called this when you visit your site you will see a list of files instead of a specific page. Try the tutorials jlhaslip suggested (use google!) and if you find you dont like that format you can try http://www.tizag.com/beginnerT/ they also have a lot of tutorials and that one HTML. i find w3schools can be hard to understand, even though they do teach strict and propper code i find tizag to be easier to understand.

Try php designer http://www.mpsoftware.dk/downloads.php dont be put of by the php part of the name it edits anything! HTML, JS, PHP, SQL, XML, and anything else. It has syntax highlighting for all those and more syntaxes and a preveiw tab. the personal edition is free for non-comercial use and ive been using it for a long time and not a single problem in the form of viruses or ad/spyware Its great and sounds perfect for your needs

I think the problem you mention in your last edit is due to the fact that you had "/cgi-sys/defaultwebpage.cgi; before "yoursite.trap17.com" with a subdomain like this you dont usually need the www. so you should simply try sitename.trap17.com and remember to use your CPanel login details not your forum details Should work just fine.

less likely yes, but not impossible. There is a way to get php to execute within an image as some signatures you see do, the ones which display your IP, OS etc... the only way i know of doing this is to write the php code yourself and specify an image document type but im sure there is an exploit somewhere which will allow such images to be uploaded. As a rule i wouldnt normally allow people to upload their own images just because its risky in what they might upload, including illegal images and codes etc... It might be an idea to try to add a feature to let people specify a URL to an image already hosted and to have them uplaod these images on some other professional image host. Might defeat the point tho!

I like the simpsons better too mainly because of the situations they get into and the fact that its not so repetitive, like in futurama its almost always they need to go somewhere to save someone/something and that other space commander dude comes in and tries to win but doesnt in the end anyway. Using an image map as jlhaslip said you can use the "alt" attribute of a link to display a smal box with text in it but its very uncustomizable. I havent used the tooltip thing so ill leave that for someone else! The HTML for what i done is simple: <CENTER><IMG SRC="hover.bmp" USEMAP="#sitemap" align=center><map name="sitemap"><area shape="rect" coords="85, 160, 325, 190" href="#" alt=Hover></map> Just replace the numbers with the co-ords of the top left and bottom right corner points of the area and the alt message to the text you want. And of course the image SRC needs to be changed. ITs only a very simple example, the tooltip will probably be better

As said it looks fine to run vista but it depends on your graphics card and aero. We had some problems with ATI drivers when using a beta version but hopefully thats been updated now. But even once the graphics card was recognized properly we still couldn't run aero. You will need a damn good card to get aero to run smoothly i imagine. And from my thoughts on the beta ill probably stick with XP and gradually go over to linux instead of using vista. From what ive seen and heard its like a baby sitter for you computer restricting a lot of things. And its so heavy on the GUI with system power it doesnt seem worth it. By the time i upgrade this pc/get a new one it will cost me like a thousand pounds to get it fully functional. IMHO its not worth it unless you have a powerful enough PC now and arent interested in tinkering with the OS but it does look smooth.

This system doesnt actually work on the number of posts you make. It works on credits. Credits are determined by the quality of post, eg the length and the posts are looked over by mods and if you just write the same line a million times you wont get any credits so the posts have to be decent content. For example your post in this topic probably got you about 0.5 credits because its short but if you posted a tutorial over an entire page you would get loads of credits! Ive had a similar problem and i found this website: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ Which talks about the browser padding as its called and how to remove it. The code they give for HTML is: <BODY MARGINWIDTH="0" MARGINHEIGHT="0 LEFTMARGIN="0" TOPMARGIN="0"> It definately works for their site in IE and Firefox so i assume it should work for your site too

ah fair enough, like i said no idea abut how CS handles its weapons. Maybe try aiming at the head if possible to maximise the damage each bullet causes. Other than that you'll have to wait for a CS player who knows what theyre talking about

abandoh, as someone already said partitioning your drive is probably the best idea, that way you keep windows for anything you might need it for but can use Linux most of the time. To do this get yourself a linux installation disk (ebay has lots for like a pound or couple of dollars and its good delivery times) and during the intall it should give you an option to format the drive or partition it. MAKE A BACKUP BEFORE YOU DO ANYTHING!!! Then you can use the tool on the disk to make, as said, three partitions, it will explain it to you fairly well and possibly provide a suggestion as to the space to allocate for each partition. it will then install to that partition and you can use a boot manager to choose which OS to boot into. I know the mandrive/mandrake disk had this tool and it was so easy to do for me even though it was my first experience in partitioning and almsot my firsy experience in using linux. There are more comprehensive guides everywhere, use Google or similar engine. But please remember to make a backup! Just in case!

If not then go by what midnitesun said, do a google search for domain name services, Xisto might have this service avaliable but im not sure.

oh deer god! thats a crazy amount of courses! Im currently doing a cisco course at college so that should cover that side of things hopefully. The course i posted includes an introduction to object oriented programming which will probably be VB and my ICT course at college includes one networking and one VB unit (there are 12 units in total) Its a hell of a lot of courses to have to take!

Hi everyone Im in the proccess of choosing the uni i want to go to and the course i want to take. The career i want is as a network admin/technician, something like that at school or college who look after the network. The problem i have is i dnt know which course will allow me to take this carreer and wether an emloyer would think that course gave me enough know-how to look after their networks. Ive looked at computer science and it seems like it might be good enough but its a big thing and i want to be sure. Im not a CS player so this isnt game specific but if the weapon has recoil which makes the aiming decrease in accuracy then fire in short burts, about half a second and that way the aim will stay accruate and you can get a good few bullets on target. I use this technique for a mutator in Unreal tournament as the recoil destroys aim and i can get headshots on the other side of an arena

I think that if you made an md5 sum of the file, google will help you find a program for that, and asked them to do the same you can see if file contents are being lost or wether their software is to blame. Another thing could be to zip it in another format such as a tar or .gz or something as well as the .zips or try a different compression rate like a slower one to make it smaller or a faster one to make it larger to see if that helps.

Well i heard that the water here in the UK has on average passed through 7 people, could be a myth but i think we also used recycled water, and either way we are all drinking recycled water as its urified into water and put into rivers and then goes into the ground then wells then lakes then urified again and drunk again. And as said the water you drink has gone through so many things, in resorviors they breed trout and fisermen fish in them so there is bait, dead fish, fish excretions, eggs along with the fishermens spit and god knows what else not to mention the polution and probably toxins like insecticides and fertilizers so we can see that the filtration proccesses are tight and work wonders to give us safe water and they wouldnt be any different if it was sewage being filtered. Ive seen on TV how sewage is filtered and released into rivers and its a lot of steps from filtering to using coagulant to make fine particles group together and sink, to chlorine etc.. to kill germs and so on... its safe otherwise we would all be very illSo i have no problem with it either

Actually although biology is thought to be a contributor to schizohrenia its not proven and IMHO not the only cause, there are many other causes too. And how would you define reality? the only reason you feel pain is because you brain says you do, in many cases involving hypnosis where the brain is more relaxed and suggestible people can block out pain and have full operations without drugs and feel no pain. Basically reality is all in the mind or brain, it is the brain that tells use something hurts, the brain which tells us the grass is green, i know we get sensory info from our eyes but that is interreted by our brains and infact grass could be orange for all we know. This is how dreams can feel real, if you remember your dreams well you will know just how real they feel yet they are created by the mind/brain. Its capable of big things. I find that quite interesting because one thing we were taught is that the disorganised type is most likely due to faulty information proccessing by the brain so the words get jumbled and hence the disorganised speech but even though your speech is affected your ability to communicate using words isnt affected which kinda says that your brain is working pretty well. I only ask because i dont like the idea of pills being used much because it doesnt get rid of the cause or treat it at all, only treats the symptoms and some drugs for very badly affected people are like tranquilezers And its true that drugs and possibly alcohol can cause schizohrenic symptoms like halucinations.
