  1. replacing bluetooth is a brilliant idea. It is a brilliant idea. It's been good to us, but its time has come, just like dial up internet bluetooth has become far, far too slow for today's media. When HD audio and video come to phones bluetooth will be useless. It's only real use will be for headsets and such, but only then if it uses less power than WIFI, if WIFI uses the same amount of power and can have multiple connections then headsets too will be WIFI. Bring it on!

    Saw Vi

Ah if you havent seen all the previous SAWs then you wont understand the pull. Basically each saw film has huge chunks of time missing, usually before the traps begin and other storylines that are playing out at the same time as the traps but in the outside world that arent filmed or shown. Then in the next SAW film that comes out those missing pieces are added in as flashbacks. So for example saw 5 actually takes place at the exact same time as saw 4 (correct me if im wrong, it could be 3 and 4) but watching the first of the two you would never know it. That's what makes the films so different and interesting each time. So much detail is missed out deliberately to give the next film more interest. Even in SAW 6 there will almost certainly be flashbacks to the time of SAW1 that we have never seen before that will explain how things happened. It truly is an amazing concept of time being liquid. It doesnt go in order of the saw films, the timeline is screwed up, torn and twisted to make it more interesting. I have heard rumors there may be 9 SAW films, it seems almost certain there will be a 7th which hasnt begun filming yet and i think they base it on the reaction of the world after the previous one comes out. So if saw 6 is a flop then saw 7 might be scrapped or be the last, but if it is received well then saw 7 and perhaps 8 will be set in stone. going to see it this weekend, saturday i think :P

    Phpbb Way In ?

If you mean you want to upload PHP files to the website itself to be run (like adding features that are PHP based) then no. The access you have is to the forum ONLY. It's like having admin access in google earth on your PC, you can change google earth's settings etc... but unless you have an admin account on the PC itself you cant change the computer or install new things. In your case you have access to edit the forums, like changing posts, subforums, deleting stuff, changing rules etc... But the server the forum runs on you have no control over. You can still upload PHP scripts to the forum as an attachment to a post but of course it wont run, it will simply be a plain text file attached to a post. You would need to contact the webmaster with regards to gaining access to the server in which case you would probably use some sort of FTP software to upload the PHP to the server.
  5. It's that time again folks, the ding of the saw theme has been in my head for days on end, the nights are drawing in, Halloween is only a week or so away, so its time to play a game...Details of Saw 6 have been sketchy so far, a few details about the carousel trap have emerged as well as a few hints of plot details and some theories have been discredited. I will of course review the film in good time, once ive seen it but until then lets speculate wildly on the plot and the traps...My ideas: Firstly we need to know what Jigsaw sent his ex wife, jill. I expect she has something to do with the confines of the game (stopping hoffman going mental or giving up etc...) but she will not take part in any of the games, or setting up the games herself, though she may be involved in a grand plot as often happens with "minor" characters becoming godlike in a matter of seconds with a huge revealing flashback. So i do actually think she holds all the cards, each and every one. If hoffman goes mad its her job to either test him or finish him. Hoffman also isnt the main man. He cant be. He is working for someone, but i have no idea who. It could indeed by Jigsaw having written or recorded instructions for his games to continue, or it could be some unseen force who was working with jigsaw or perhaps was jigsaws master. Its a biggie but not unlike the general theme of the previous films where characters reveal themselves to be part of something much, much bigger than what we see through the use of amazing flashbacks. Also the "His disease is spreading" animated poster (loads of people views from above on a white floor walk around and form a dotted version of jigsaw's face) and the poster of a pair of hands which are actually gloves from the wrist down suggest that someone else is acting for jigsaw, and the disease spreading message suggests to me that a new character will come into a major role of psychotic murder trying to follow jigsaws steps. Perhaps vigilante style or something. Im not sure, but it definitely suggests to me that either a brand new character tries to become jigsaw or a previously small character, perhaps a victim, rises to try and become jigsaw. Interesting. A lot of the internet is buzzing with the theory that jigsaw's body returns. It's an interesting one... If amanda was alive or Jill was in on the games then i would suggest that one of them had to destroy, or mutilate his body to pass a test, they, who idolize him, wouldnt want to do this, so its sort of a test of loyalty as well as common sense (i mean, its a dead body, the genius that is Jigsaw is dead, that's just an empty shell) but i cant think what else is body will be used for... Though it does make sense as it seems the guy who did the autopsy makes a come back in this film. Now, traps.... We've seen the carousel trap in the trailer, and glimpses of the steam room trap and the gas mask trap. I imagine the steam room has something to do with a time limit and needing to pass painful tests. The time limit is imposed by the fact the victim just sweats or cooks to death after a certain time and the painful things are presumably slicey slicey or burney burney but passing them is the only way out. The gas mask trap... They presumably have to work together for this one, but i dont see how. Perhaps the gas mask is purely an execution device that fills them with nasties if they dont escape in time. The trailer shows the prospective hero holding on to two chains arms outstretched trying to muster great strength to hold on to them. Perhaps if he lets go the gas fills them, or perhaps he has to choose which one dies by letting go of one chain before they both slip and both victims die. The clue "His game comes full circle" also suggests a character from the first film is quite important... I cant remember enough about SAW to speculate who or how but perhaps someone else can.all in all i cant wait for it to come out, my mates arent keen on seeing it so i might even have to go alone! Not that it scares me, in fact it makes me laugh, it's just that only sados go to the movies alone, haha!Theories?
  6. Print screen will always work unless one of a few things happens: You completely destroy your operating system, your print screen key is broken, or you have some weird keyboard that doesnt have that key (very unlikely, its a standard feature)On a laptop you may find that "Prnt screen" or similar is written in a blue/grey colour. In which case you need to press the Fn key (usually bottom left) hold that down and then press the print screen button. Any key with light blue characters on it needs the Fn key (also light blue) to e pressed first
  7. or you could cheat and make an animated GIF which does what you want (fades from the grey block to the coloured one) and then use an image rollover script to activate it.
  8. instead of using window open/close why not just stick the JS in an infinite loop? Closing the webpage will stop the code whenever you want and its less intensive on the host system, all it has to do is loop JS rather than open and close browser windows. I dont really do JS but it should work hypothetically. And i hadnt thought of the advertising potential of this system. It is pretty open to abuse, and the gain from the abuse could be a fair amount.
  9. Its just a novelty really, it simply stores what you searched for "eg firefox" in a database or static file/contstant and then when the next guy searches it retrieves that value "firefox" then overwrites the value with "egg" and then uses the search URL google.com/q=firefox to search (or thereabouts) simple but effective!
  10. the thing that annoys me more are those that believe the product can help them, like you say with the slimming and makeup products, every single advert (or 99.9% perhaps) have used special effects to change the way the model looks, and you people still by these products? Jesus...."Here is our wonder makeup, it makes you look really great**! buy it!!! only $99 per 10ml**model enhanced in post production using a computer and special effects because well, to be honest its not that good, in fact, its so rubbish that our model looked awful wearing it so we had to use a computer. But hey, you'll still buy it so who cares!"Women are particularly vulnerable to this type of advertising (and im not a sexist person by the way, but women are led by adverts, look at how much they/you spend on makeup which is only body-safe paint but you'll pay $50/?30 for a tiny bottle, perhaps 50ml because they/you believe it will make you look good based on the faces of "attractive" models (who really arent attractive, but women think that men think they are) in the vain hope you will look like her. It doesnt work.....)
  11. Google "Microsoft photoshop out black guy" or something similar and see the terrible image microsoft made. They had a dark skinned guy (i wouldnt actually describe him as black, perhaps mixed race) sitting on a board of all white people so they got some random white guy's head and photochopped it onto the black guys neck, but they forgot to do the same with his hand which was at about head level, so there was a white guy with a black hand... fail!Theres a while site dedicated to these things, in some hands are missing or they remove a person and left their feet/shoes behind by mistake and such like, its pretty amusing really!
  12. It wont stay there, not over any length of time anyway. Its a cloud formation and as such it will drift with the winds and dissolve as water vapour creates new clouds that thicken it up and stop the light coming through.
  13. it simply means someone in china is using it before you are. Its entirely possible and given the internet active population of china quite likely really!
  14. My bad for not reading the linky there, i had read a couple of others and assumed it was another "we dont really know, but lets pretend its a UFO" article!I shall read that now, nothing like a bit of science to start the morning off!Especially when we're dealing with radiation, always a good start to the morning :PIt would be a sight to behold, especially if you could stand directly underneath it and photograph it from below.
  15. Not all religions are money driven, mainstream ones seem to be, but not *all* religions. But otherwise you are quite correct.
  16. thats not what hes looking for. The background "movement" is a simple CSS line that fixes the background of the page so it doesnt move, the text just scrolls over it instead like the ending credits in as movie. He wants a flash object to move when a user scrolls the page. The only way i can think of doing this is to have flash listen for the event of "mouse 3" which is the scrollwheel. I dont know the event name in flash but a google search for something like "flash actionscript scroll mouse wheel event" should produce the goods.Once you have the event you can program it to trigger a function which moves the gear accordingly.
  17. It's an interesting formation. I have no doubt the sun is causing the glowing, but what caused the ring or thin clour that let the sun through? Thats the real question.the law of the universe would state that given all cloud formations are essentially random in nature at some point a perfect circle would be made, in the same way that if the lottery was played for infinity the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, would definitely appear. Its weird, im keeping an open mind. But in a skeptic believer. Ill believe something but not before i question it.
  18. Could this possibly have something to do with the limit of 10 TCP connections per machine for windows XP? Its some sort of security feature, the idea being that the computer can only have a connection 10 other computers at any one time, thus if it is infected it can only infect another 10 computers. They failed to realize that those 10 can then infect another 10 and so on... so it really doesnt do anything except delay the infection about 2 seconds.Try googling "windows xp 10 connection TCP limit" and see what happens.
  19. Not if some of the circuitry is burned out.... The software wont be able to use the device. If the circuits are damaged you really need a hardware solution and the only things i can think of are: Replacing the damaged circuitry (you'd need to be a *very* good electrical engineer and have very precise tools for that) or remove the platters (which store the data) and place them in another drive. But for that you need a clean room, and such. ITs not a home fix thing, you'd have to send it off.You will probably have to pay a data recovery company to do the job for you. Google "data recovery firm" and then your local city and see what you find. It wont be cheap though.
  20. Im not a christian, i dont believe in your God and in truth i think Christianity is truly an evil religion, however, as a representative of your faith you have said well, and what you have said makes sense and should be read by your fellow christians who would condemn the world to "hell" for their "sins" (which are in fact guilt trips: "from the day you were born you sinned, better worship god and donate to the church otherwise that sin wont ever go away" = blackmail, emotional blackmail. But its your choice). Anyhoo, Kudos for saying what you did, you cant blame anyone but yourself for the things you do.
  21. Try changing the zoom level down. Hold down the CTRL key (or the mac version) and use the scroll wheel on the mouse to change the zoom.
  22. The auto uploads will be extremely difficult unless of course you mean that the program itself is what you install on your computer, and it will gather weather reports in the form of images and then automatically upload them to a specified area of your website via ftp. In which case it would be fairly easy. You might want to wait for a mod or admin to confirm that the firewalls on the servers wont think it is suspicious and block you by accident and double check that the program uses the default FTP port of 25 and default FTP protocol, not some weird propriety stuff. As for BW i think it will add up to your bandwidth, but how big are these images do you know? (in filesize preferably, perhaps there is a site that you have seen using it that we can look at?) it also depends how often it gets uppdated, one or two images an hour isnt *too* bad but every 10 minutes is really going to eat into your bandwidth.

    Good Photo Editor

the GIMP will do it just fine. You wont get it much smaller than the GIMP. Google it, download it, select the background and erase it (well actually, youd have to make a second layer,, under the image layer so it goes transparent, but meh) and place the new background in.
  24. Agreed, there is absolutely no doubt what causes an eclipse. None at all, its a known fact that the moon goes between the earth and sun and we get cast into the shadow. Even the most faithful cant deny that science is right here.(and im not a hard and fast science person, i too believe in things science does not yet understand)
  25. Christians seems to forget the bloody sand on which their religion is built. Destroying countless homelands, villages, cities, towns and other belief systems, killing thousands, punishing millions more for doing no wrong. So, when you say that christians are being attacked and attacks are being aimed at them i feel no sorrow or pity, only justice. It seems a bit extreme to take the case to court but then America has a fascination with courtrooms. But at the end of the day its a structure that has been built so technically the authorities do have a duty to make sure that religious organisations cant exploit and avoid the regulations. some people might consider it an eye sore in an area otherwise naturally beautiful etc...
