oh, and to answer your question about moving to a new web hosting providor, that is a definate yes. and Xisto - Web Hosting would be perfect for now, they are cheap and affordable and you would get rid of the subdomain and the directory her main page is on. tell 'r to get a top level domain by either paying for it or get one of those free .info domains they are still giving away for free for a year(the site link is in one of the threads you need to search for). which are top level domains. but i don't suggest a main page being in a subdomain OR a directory. they'll still get listed and it's still possible to get a high listing, but she is far from that right now for a few reasons so i suggest starting out small and growing. optimize the site with less graphics so there is more body text and the spiders see the keywords, add an h1 and an h2 tag with key words within it, she NEEDS to evetually get sites linking back to hers. that takes time, update at LEAST her main page every week with new content. the easiest way is a news feed that DOESN'T USE JAVA SCRIPT. so the spiders can see the new content. google adsense is an example of fresh content that is optimized for your site but it's not search engin frindly because the code is script so spider wont see google ads(unfortunately). or just write the new content by hand but the easiest way is newsfeeds. news feeds are fresh content BUT it isn't unique content. search engines are getting more smart in finding and sorting unique content so in the future, it's best to get in the habit of updating by hand. bothersom and time consiming but will be necessary in the near future for higher rankings in my opinion. if she updates once a week, the seach engines will revisit once a week. if she updates once a month, the search engines will adjust to revisit once a month. they learn about your website and the spiders have a memory on that stuff. you don't need the revisit tag as some still think they need it. spiders are smart now. if someone has a revisit in 7 days tag and only updates 2 times a year, the spiders wont revisit in 7 days, but every 6 months. i would stuff some more key words inside alt tags too. and any keywords she has DEFINATELY needs to be in the body of the text at least 5 times depending on how many total words are in the body of the text. key word density is important. some search engines will penalize if the density is too high......meaning too many of the same key words within the body of the text. i don't think the ratio should be more than 2% -> 2/100 -> 2 of the same key words out of every 100 words on the page. key word stuffing doesn't work anymore. websites get banned for life for that stuff and shouldn't be taken lightly. you then have to buy another domain and start all over gtting your site indexed and optimized and wait another year for a decent effect.ok...now i'm really going to bed now....i can't think anymore

ok, further investigation shows that google has ALL her links indexed and not just the main page. i only checked this to see if the suggestion someone had earlier held true in this situation where it would only index the main page. so this is definately NOT and indexing problem but an s.e.o. problem as all pages are clearly indexed

ok. her site is indexed on google so that isn't the problem but her website is just not relevant where the spiders are concerned and will have a much lower ranking than yahoo and dmoz where their directories are hand submitted by humans.i went to her site and read the source and 90% of her site is all graphics. tell your friend that she has a nice webpage but s.e.o. is give an take. she will have to make her site less graphic so the spiders can read the content on her page, if she wants google traffic and all other search engine traffic(not incuding directories like yahoo and dmoz) then she will have to totally redo her whole site OR sign up for google adwords and pay for some key word listings. your friend has a lot of work ahead if they want google to acknoledge this site. google has it listed in their main index and not their sub index(i'm even surprised about THAT) so that's the good news....which is very little. goggle doesn't recognize ANY of your friends keywords and even the majority of the description metatag. and that is just the basics of s.e.o.so there you have it. that's a start. if you need more help or a full report on ibp, i'll send you one for free but if your friends starts whith just the small info given already, it will do WONDERS in about 1 month after optimizingi say a month because the site has probabably been listed longer than anyone realized and google hasn't noticed ANY FRESH NEW CONTENT on that page so it slowed that pages indexing in how often the page gets spideredso now it's up to your friend to make a decision wether it's worth it to redo the whole site or not. i say it is because it can look good too without the graphics(just takes time and hard work to redo) and the traffic will be enourmous eventually in another year if done right and make good use of the key words which the keywords are CRAP too....too many and some are repeated. you don't need that mainy. just 4-5 main ones that which don't compete with the majority of the compitition that still get high relatively high search volume.example. stay away from search terms that 1 million websites are competing even if the search term is used 50k times a month. your friend is nowhere NEAR getting close to a top 10 listing for the simple fact she doesn't have any websites linking back to her(that google found) so better to use a search term that gets 1000 hits a month and only 1000 websites compete for. the ratio is a lot better(do the math) and easier to get a top 10 listing for those key words and ALOT easier to optimise a site for 3-4 or even 5 keywords rather than.....heck....i didn't count but your friend had about 20 or something. if you get a top 10 ranking on a search term that gets only 200 searches a month, that's unique hits a month and potential business your friend would not normally have....and that's for a not so common but specific keyword. a secret to keywords is to use 2-3 words in the keyword. not 1 word. make the keywords more specific and you will have fewer websites competing and the keywords will drive more targeted traffic.hope this helped buddy. only reason why i took time out for this is because i see you on alot helping other people so what goes around comes around. wish your friend some luck and if need any help in the future, lemme know.

i didn't check google yet for the listing, but i did notice that it is indexed on yahoo and dmoz. this is a good start but then i know that google takes alot of their new listings from both these sources. so that is the bad news that her site hasn't been listed yet after a year. 2 problems i notice just by looking at the address is that it is on a subdomain(not too big of a problem) and that her home page is actually a directory(more of a problem) and the biggest problem is that there's a tilda inside the address of the directory. this could be her whole problem alltogether but don't quote me. now i ran a check through ibp and i will give you a quick rundown on the last general section. i haven't read through it but i hope it helps and if it doesn't solve the problem, get back to me and i will look in to it deeper.as far as what the spider sees, that seems fine. most spiders including googles should see most of her webpage although if your friends wants good s.e.o., her whole site needs tweeking but the issue right now is to just get it indexed i know, then worry about the other things, so here's the basice general rundown i have....then i am going to check google....Do the following to improve the ranking for your web site on Google.com for the search term "inside out" >> Search engines need text to index your web pages, to determine the theme of your web site and to produce a site summary. what you're talking about specifically is called natural instincts which some animals are born with. it's funny you gave the examples of animals other than humans because it's true that there has been a long fought over debate if humans are born with natural instincts and what actually defines a natural instinct....like is breathing a natural instinct? since before you are born you are breathing through liquid. or crying...is that a natural instict. is anything that is not learned through experience a natural instict. long ong debated over and the arguement still continues among the so-called experts and their professional theories what most have concluded is this. a natural instinct is based on something that you carry out the rest of your life and is a part of your life that doesn't change and not influenced by anything forced. and happens naturally without thinking. this is why it's hard to come up with a natural instict for human being ender this definition. so maybe this defination is true and human beings don't need any natural instincts for survival. i had to argue this point with a teacher of mine. i have my own beliefs until the experts can agree on something i d believe the brain is partially preloaded. but i believe it's preloaded due to reincarnation and multiple lives and remembering past lives. but i also believe this is different than natural instincts for survival....but heck...maybe i'm wrong and it's all the same or maybe i am wrong all together.....but those are my beliefs. ones you wont hear from the experts because things just don't exist unless it's proven to exsist. blah blah blah.

man can i sure use a mil, but unfortunately, you probably wont even see $100 out of this program. see, when you do nothing, you get nothing. life isn't handed to you on a silver platter. to make a mil, you will have to scam 3 other people out of their money and they would have to do the same(=9) and they all probably wont even earn $10. you on theother hand may earn $100 if you keep advertising, but that isn't doing "nothing" now is it. all you did was scam people out of their hard earned cash so you can pay your phone bill.

i see what you and jlhaslip is saying. in fact, there are 2 places we are looking at now which 1 is across town, the other is 80 or so miles in another town alltogether. you both are right because a life is at risk. on the other hand, principle has valid points too because 1st, it is our home and we are more of a victim if we move. 2nd, if everyone ignores the situation by us moving, i can almost gaurantee(by knowing this guys m.o.) that he will hurt someone else and we didn't do anything to stop that from happening. i just turned 38 and told my mother who had the advice to move as well. what ever happened to the principle to fight for what you believe in especially if you can prevent an evil situation from happening again? i know how the world works but there must be other suggestions too that can combine this woman's safety AND making sure something like this isn't ignored. man, i really liked this town after looking all over to find a good one. i would sure hate to move! if this happened where i was born and raised(los angeles, ca), this man woulda given the same treatment as he gave to others. unfortunately, i just moved here and not comfortable giving that sort of "street justice" any other suggestions aside from moving? maybe not move or combine moving with something else so this doesn't happen to anyone else? other women around town have had problems with him too, just not big enough to report anything.

ok, i am deciding to share something now with everyone. i've kept it to my self for the most part but i can't seem to do that now for a couple reasons. 1: for advice and support 2: for other peoples awarenessi used to live in los angeles, california. lived there most of my life til now. i recently moved to a little town called tipton. this town is in central missouri and i loved it compared to all the other little towns. half the houses and even the public park was decked out in christmas decorations this first christmas i spent here. there's one problem though.....about a month and a half ago, my fiance parked her car in front of our apartment complex and decided to stand outside smoking a cigarette when she was attacked from behind by our neighbor. he not only tried to sexually assault her, he took her to the ground and tried to smash her face into the pavement with his foot. she passed out during that time and doesn't remember everything that happened, her face was a total mess when she found her way back inside and she went through seizures on the way to the hospital. now since this time, we filed something through the city of tipton and he got out with $50 bond. tipton police said it's all they could do for "third degree assault". we quickly dropped the charges and refilled through the county. this time on sexual felony assault. he got out on $1000 bond this time. we also got a 1 year protection order approved.now what's happening is he's breaking the protection order by doing what he did before and that's walk by our door, windows, saying bad things, and basically scaring the crap outta my fiance. when we call the police over, they tell us there is nothing they can do but make a report. even after the fact she already got the crap beat outta her and has a protection order. their excuse is that he's black and screaming racism. their other excuse is that the more they knock on his door, he can file charges against the police department on harrassment and the police are weary that both those things will happen.now i told her to take a week, get away for a while because this apartment was closing in on her and she doesn't feel safe. the police haven't done CRAP to protect her or ensure her safety against this man. although i continually want to kill him with my bare hands, i don't. i don't want to go to jail because of him. i want HIM to go to jail. i want to hurt him bad to protect my woman and to protect anyone else out there that is in danger of him.he's very smart and only 29. he preys on women by befriending them. hanging around. befriending their children or a family pet like a dog or cat. he asks to come in your apartment to use the phone or borrow something. he gains trust this way and then ****BAM*** he uses that trust against ya to hurt you. the only person he cares about is himself. now what i've been seeing is he likes to visit with the neighbors more frequently and gain their trust. he befriends these people so that HE looks good in the community and they don't have a clue what he did other than the fact that he likes to lie to others stateing that some woman is harrassing him and making his life miserable. trying to gain the respect and side of people he encounters.anyway, man, i need advice here in how to get justice here when the police wont even arrest him when he breaks his order of protection. i also need some advice so *I* don't wind up in jail instead of him. our bedroom screen is halfway bent outside the retainers. obviouly it was this guy who is not afraid of anyone including the law. i just noticed it and plan on reporting that too but all our efforts seem to be for not.oh. i also just found out that his wife is divorcing him. i know he has beaten her up a couple times in the past too but the charges were always dropped. now after the recent incedent, i just found out she's divorcing him for reasons i don't know(so i smile about that). anyone close enough to know him(the real him) doesn't like himi need some serious advice here in how i should approach this situation. the police say we should move. this is my friggin' home. he's the criminal and we should move?!? man, that just sucks! people gone for a month and neglect their website and no new content, they SHOULD be given credit during this time. they deserve it. you know what's wrong with that thinking besides the obvious(duh)? if they had a credit system like that, i would take advantage of it and i would just tell 'm i'm gonna be gone when i'm really not. actually, i would do that. i lied. but others would. i like this place personally. it was all about getting a free website at first but i like their system here and most of the people. what i don't like is whiners and people who try take advantage of an already fair system. i'm one of "people" that call easter EASTER and i think Xisto has fair rules and guidlines. it's funny how you don't call easter "easter" and want to complain about how unfair it is. now you know what i would like to see? anyone who thinks things are unfair should have only ONE PLACE to post about it and that is the VENT FORUM which to me is the only place it's good for and anyone who wants to post it about it anywhere else should get their account suspended without warning because they didn't like the place in the first place and i am tired of reading this crap. now with that out of the way, i offer a suggesting to your comment if you are going to be away for a while. i suggest to make the appropriate posts before hand with good quality content. if you don't get your credits high enough and you made a decent effort to be responsible, then send a mail to the admins and tell them your situation with a hope that they can allow your account not to be suspended during the remaining time. i'll bet you haven't even gone so far to even try this suggestion and you're just complaining about it though.... man i try so hard somtimes just to not get warned my own self......blah!

you are obviously not taking the steps to get hosted. the people who follow the rules AND the steps to get hosted have no problems. if BUFF told ya to post more, then post more. that simple. either you don't have enough credits or your topics are lacking content or it could be something else. relax. don't be in such a rush. you'll get hosted....just take the steps....

now wild, you posted in the right forum when you replied to the non drinker. my question is what past problem have you had with drinkers to label them the way you do. sounds to me you need your own little counseling here. let dr. anwii help ya. talk to me hehehseriously though, shouldn't label. i consider myself to be a little bit of an expert on this drinking topic because i was never afraid to drink. i used to play darts at least 3 hours a day and the only dart boards are in bars. people who drink react differently. i've seen people get more quiet, i've seen people get more loud. i've seen people act more friendly, and i've seen people act more rude. i've seen people fall over, and i've seen people walk in a straight line. what i always loved to see though is women taking their clothes off when they've had too much and i've seen guys take advantage of women who drink to much. i have ALSO seen guys be women's protectors when they have drank too much. i've seen all sorts, wild. to label GUYS a certain way when they drink is just wrong, but i know what you said what you did with that strong opinion. all that tells me wild is you need to be responsible for your own actions and be strong enough to make choices in who you want hangin' around you too. i've knows losers who are bad bad people who DONT drink....how about that? now with me, i drink for different reasons. i like to drink when i'm depressed and i also like to drink when i just want to let loose and hanve fun. i like to drink if others are drinking because i love people and i want them to open up to me and i have to sorta mirror their image so to speak. some say at one point in my life, i was an alcoholic. i don't believe i was. the real addiction i had and still have is cigarettes. i started smoking when i was around 25 and haven't stopped. i went from 2-3 a day to a pack a day. i only drink when i go to a bar(which is rare now) or when i'm watching the NCAA BASKETBALL CHAMPIONSHIPS.......BRUINS#1!!! ok, anyway everyone's different so they shouldn't really be labeled. i have never beat women or acted bandly when drinking. i have been ashamed a couple times when i drove home when i shouldn't. i don't want other people suffering from my own stupidities if by some freak of nature i get in an accident. i say freak of nature because i am one of the better drivers out there. but drinking....even ONE can affect you and your motor skills aren't working 100% adn knowing that and trying to be responsible for my own actions, being a good driver isn't any sort of valid excuse.

oh btw- did i mention i don't trust women either? heheh j/k ummmyou don't want him pegged by everyone as some nerd boy either saying "geee ummm i like my brains". peer pressure is tricky and needs to be handled delicate. us guys need to keep our rep ya know? you sould never get firm with your buds. if it goes that far he should just leave the party and try to escape unoticed and try again another day. and explaining "geee ummm i prefer coca cola. my mother will be waiting up for me too" doesn't work with us guys. believe me. maybe with the girls, i dunno. he should go to these parties with one pal knows his bud ain't gonna be drinkin' for support. those are good suggestions actually, but i have 1 better that a buddy of mine used to do ALL the time. he used to get an empty glass, bottle or can....whatever people are drinking out of, and poor apple juice in it. looked like beer but didn't taste like it obviously. i was one of the few that knew his little secret....but that's ok because i never told anyone until now and this was over 20 years ago. anyway, nobody accused him of not drinking. we both used to go to parties together in high school and it turned out ok with the ol' switcharoo

i just checked out that script and it's a 1-10 vote script which only displays 1 picture per page at random. i was looking for a vote script that displays all pictures on one page, and you click on any one picture to vote for it. anyone seen a free script like this? also a script that would allow you to automatically upload your photos...hmmmm maybe something like that doesn't exist yet....

statcounter.com is the only one i'll ever use and have had no problems with it. it's free, but the free version only logs 100 hits so you have to keep a close eye on it. but i love the service they offer and the only one i would ever recomend

as far as the spam filter, has anyone experienced google not sending mail to your inbox that should be in your inbox? do they have a bulk folder than spam goes to? do they have pop3?oh heck....if someone has an invite, can ya send me one? i'm now curious here. i HATED aol when i was using them and i don't much like hotmail or yahoo. i use yahoo as my primary right now.
