I just obtained a legal copy of Bejeweled 2 Deluxe and am addicted. My husband is also. Thank heaven we have 2 puters so we can both play at the same time. Otherwise we would be at war about whose turn it is to play. He has gotten to level 10 and I to level 12. So far my highest score is 71,363. Does anyone on here play this game?

For what it is worth, I just did a search on MSN and Google for "Open Discussion". Trap 17 showed up on page 6 of the MSN. I gave up looking on Google at page 13. Is Google ever going to catch up with the new monicker/title?

Let's Celebrate Four Years Of Saint Michael
Mich replied to Saint_Michael's topic in General Discussion
Sorry I missed your anniversary St.Mike. *****hangs head in sorrow***** I was on the train coming home from Winslow, AZ. on the 21st. Was not aware of your forthcoming date or would have anticipated it and left a message before I went. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!! anyway, better late than never. (what a cliche') -
Very cute Haslip. On my recent venture to Arizona, we encountered a little guy that I was told is a false rattler. He was a really cute little thing, about 12 inches long, with lots of little diamonds on his back. He reminded me of a California gopher snake in appearance, but was much smaller. No obvious neck and a long tapered tail with no rattle. I guess most people are frightened by slithery critters, but I find them facinating and colorful. That is if they don't bite me. The ones that want to bite, I like to look at through glass cage walls.

As an investor it really scares me the the government is sticking its nose into Wall Street in such a manner. The market makes periodic adjustments/corrections. If the government goes tampering with the situation, it just might change the complexion of the stock market. Yes it is scarey for those invested, but history has proven that if you don't panic, the market takes care of itself. What I would like to know, is why the government feels the need to "so-called bail out" now? Can't they leave well enough alone?

Mich is back. I was gone on a work and witness mission to the Sun Valley Indian School in Arizona near Holbrook. We met other team members in Chicago at Union Station, there were 13 of use altogether, and took the train out to Winslow. While on the train, I got food poisoning from an egg I had boiled at home and taken along. Boy was that awful. Thank heaven there was a physician on board, in my car, that diagnosed what I had. We all assumed it was the flu. He gave me some medication his wife happened to have along, and I was up and around the next day. Amtrak had medics come on board at Albequerque to check my vitals out just in case. Everything was fine except I couldn't sit up from the nausea. The doctor told us something none of us knew, including the medics. Food poisoning affects the inner ear causing the extreme nausea. It is worse than motion sickness, believe me. Anyway, our work projects at the Indian school were varied. I hemmed 20 curtain panels for their Chapel. Others worked on sorting donated clothing for resale, building a walkway, painting an apartment, sorting donated jewelry, and putting drywall up in a building that was being refurbished. My husband and another fellow worked in the kitchen all week during meal serving hours. We all enjoyed ourselves and the students and staff really appreciated the help. We were rewarded by a trips to the Grand Canyon, Canyon de Chelly (on the Navajo Reservation), and the Petrified Forest for our two days off. If you would like more information about this venture check out http://nativeamericanchristianacademy.org/ and https://www.nps.gov/cach/index.htm The history of Canyon de Chelly is very interesting as the longest enhabited landscape in North America. The trip home was unremarkable compared to the trip out. We all managed to stay well, enjoyed each other's company and the scenery. I am further grateful that I was the only one who got sick from the boiled egg. I had taken enough for everybody and I must have gotten a bad one. Got to meet some great new people and had an all-around good time. Hey Eagles fans, I was "standing on the corner in Winslow, Arizona."

Are Beagles Good Dogs? My wife reallllly wants one
Mich replied to kingjim007's topic in Home & Garden
I don't own a Beagle myself, but a close friend does. Teddy is a very well mannered dog. He is a wonderful companion for my friend. However, I do believe that barking/baying is a usual trait of this particular breed. Teddy does not do it often, but when he gets started it is hard to stop him. Then, I feel that a dog reflects his owner. By this I mean that the owner has a lot more influence on the dog's behavior than heredity. Beagles are rather active dogs and require daily excersize. Maybe you should give some thought to finding a dog that fits your situation and needs. Finding the Right Breed of Dog for You If you are really sticking with a Beagle. Read This Good Luck! -
Hey, mate, it could have been worse. You could have had a lot more time invested in the relationship. At least you never married. I was in the reverse situation and got used as a cover for 13 years which produced one child. Then he went home to his mother. Dated women locally (small town) to pull the wool over everybody's eyes. What he did out of town (big city) is another story. Took a while to understand what went on, but then I guess some people, like me, learn things the hard way.

The time is off for me as well. I haven't noted the difference, but it is easy to think someone has just posted a shout and find that it was an hour or more old. Like I posted some time ago and it says 9:57, when my clock just got to 9:38 here. The lag has cause me to answer some shouts and I was talking to myself. It can be annoying, but then my only concern, as well, is if it is affecting the DB. Tested it and posted at 10:17 when I am at 9:39 my time. Interesting???

I do believe that the fact that Hilary is a Democrat and McCain is running on the Republican ticket answers that question. I too am very frustrated with our choices this election. So much so, that I might consider moving to Canada. I am truely afraid that if Obama doesn't win there will be riots; based on the claim of racial prejudice. I am also concerned that some radical skinhead will try to assassinate him if he should win. Then there is the military background of McCain that concerns me. He almost sounds like a war-monger, at times. The war in Iraq is taking too much toll in American lives. I wish I knew what to do about it, but don't have the expertice in that field to suggest anything. Who is running on the independent ticket?

Never attended CalPoly, but born and raised in California. Yosemite is the most beautiful place in my opinion. Get there the moment you have a chance. You will be awed by its beauty. I majored in Business Ad as well only in Sacramento; and that was some years ago. I dated a guy who attended CalPoly, but then things have changed since he was there. Most of the Cal campuses are very nice. They have good profs and lots of interesting things to do around town. Good luck in your endeavor!
