Deja Vu Do u think that dreams tries to alert u?
Mich replied to jlrr94's topic in General Discussion
Good question. This actually happened to me, for some of you doubters. Sometime before I had ever flown in a plane, I dreamed that I was in a plane coming in for a landing over water with lots of lights reflecting off the water. This was a normal landing, not crash. I did see things from what seemed to be the pilot's perspective, I guess since I had no knowledge of how a landing would appear from a passenger seat. Some years later I had to fly into San Francisco for my father's funeral. The landing pattern took us right over the SF Bay onto the runway. The lights were reflecting off the water surface, as they had done in my dream. Now I would call this a case of deja vu. -
Hello Jordan aka: Grandem and welcome to Trap 17 from Mich, in Michigan, USA. Now this is a nice introduction. You told us something about yourself other than just the usual HI that most people post. Like bhavesh says, read the rules and regulations. You can use the links just above my sig to learn all about Trap 17. You have come to the right place for the best free no-ads hosting packages on the web. It is not the number of posts you make, but the quality that earns you credits for hosting. So keep up the good work and you will have your hosting in no time flat. There are a lot of subjects to debate, so go for it. I like to see a lively forum, but do remember to be nice to people when you are of a different opinion than they are. The use of harsh or vulgar words only negates your position. And will of course warrant a warning from the Mods. ***gets down off soapbox*** Look forward to seeing you around the boards.

I have been gone on extended vacations and have never had a problem. I just make sure I have enough credits to be gone whatever length of time I need. My site has never been suspended while I was away. In fact it has never been suspended at any time. Keeping up your credits is like keeping a safe balance in your bank account. Don't cut it too close and you shouldn't have trouble. Keep a nice buffer in case of emergency. If you don't have enough credits to cover your absence, let the Admin know that you intend to come back, just to be safe.

Well, here it is the close of my second year with Trap 17. Seems like only last month I was lured over here from Asta Host by JLHaslip. Actually it was on 5th January 2006 and 2 days later I got my hosting approved. I have really enjoyed my time on the forum, all the support I have received from so many members, greeting new members as they join and introduce themselves, helping out whenever I can (which is seldom in the tech department, since I am not extremely computer or graphics literate, but I do my best), giving opinions on subjects I may have a little more incite into than some of the younguns on here, and just generally hanging out in the shout box once in a while. So many people here have helped me out that I cannot remember everybody. So, I will say a big THANK YOU!! to all who have come to my rescue, aided and abetted me, or maybe just extended a kind word when it was needed. I look forward to staying active as I lead off into my third year.

I was just watching one of those cop programs where they show you the tape from inside the squad car. It was out of one of the southeastern states of the USA. Some cop stopped a guy for suspected drunk diving. Now this guy is in his own private vehicle. The cop tells him to step out of the car and the guy is nude. The driver flunks the sobriety test and the cop arrests him for DUI and public indecency; puts him in his squad car. Then the cop asks the passenger to step out of the car and arrests the passenger for public intoxication. Now I ask you, is this right? The two people were in a private vehicle until the cop told them to get out. If this is the law in that state (I wish I could remember which state), then cops might stop every male driver who is driving without his shirt on just to make sure he isn't nude. A designated driver could be taking his drunk friend home, get stopped for some reason and have the friend arrested for being drunk. This doesn't make any sense to me.

Singer/Songwriter Dan Fogelberg has died. I am saddened by this news. Many of the forum users will probably not know him, but I was able to catch his performances at Interlochen, Michigan on 2 occasions. Although born in Illinois, he was conceived (according to the story he told us) in Grayling, Michigan when his father was teaching at the Interlochen Academy of Arts, Interlochen, Mich. His middle name is Grayling and he said he always thought he was named after a fish, until he visited the Interlochen campus, took a tour of the area and discovered Grayling, Mich. so near by. http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ https://www.thestar.com/news/obituaries/2007/12/17/dan_fogelberg_56_singersongwriter.html

Here is a redo using Black Chancery font. Old English runs together too much at this size.

Huh? You can get 500mg of free space for 30 credits and keep it by posting on a regular basis. Maybe you haven't read the Trap 17 Readme. This will explain how things work around here.

I tried that and had trouble with getting it to fit in there and still be readable so opted for plain text. Suggestion well taken, though.

Aeara Introduces Himself. My official hello to Trap 17.
Mich replied to Aeara's topic in Introductions
Hello Aeara and welcome to Trap 17 from Mich, in Michigan, USA. Sounds like you have had quite a time here already, learning things the hard way. You are not the first nor will you be the last to jump in and delete files mistakenly. I drove the admin mad asking questions about all the files and how the setup worked. Thank heaven I asked before I deleted anything. Saved me from doing what you had to do. Keep up the good posts. Look forward to seeing you around the boards.
