If you step in the same one twice, you're silly for not cleaning it up the first time ;p But yeah.. wet socks make people sad. Or wet shoes, because of the rain.. because when my shoes get wet, it seems like I'm never in an area where I can change out of them, and they take forever to dry. ;.; Maybe I'll keep spare shoes in my car o.o

I can't say I've had enough time to kill in recent years that I've really sought out that site as a way to pass the time. However, I've had friends link me to videos that were (mostly XD;; ) entertaining. I guess it makes sense that you'd have to wade through a lot of junk to find a real jem, in a place like that where anyone can upload (almost) anything they want to.. ^^

The Worst Thing To Happen To Humans
Togi replied to carlvskansas's topic in Dating And Relationships
I guess drinking in itself isn't such a bad thing.. and people keep saying that a -small- amount of it is actually good for you. Although I don't drink personally, I have nothing against people that want to, as long as they keep it in check.However, anyone that cheated in a relationship and then wanted to be forgiven because s/he was drinking isn't worth my time.. that's not right. -
This isn't a game I've heard of before, it sounds a little creepy, to make a game out of running around and shooting eachother. But then.. maybe it's better than all the first-person shooters my friends play.. at least you guys are getting exercise while you shoot eachother ;pJust be careful about who you're playing with next time, I guess ^^;;

I guess if it was advice given in Elementary school, they might be a little biased, trying to encourage kids to do their work so they don't fail 2nd grade or something... but yeah XD;vetranHonestly, the paying for college thing is insane, in the US anyways. One of my friends managed to get a grant to pay for his whole education, because his family was poor and (don't hate me) he was black. And yay, good for him.. but he dropped out after two months, so it was a real waste ;.;I had to take out loans and work full-time on the side, but I finally gratuated. I noticed, though, that once I got Phi Theta Kappa on my record, I started to get a heck of a lot of emails about schools wanting me to transfer to their college to finish up, on their money XD;Eh.. and now a co-workers little straight-A daughter is looking to go into the starting veterinary classes.. but even with all the grants and scholarships they can find, -and- the biggest student loan they could take out, they still owe $10k/year that they're going to have to pay out-of-pocket. It's just insane. o.o

Hehe.. yeah, some of those safety notes really need to go ;p And Terminal.. ironicly, I really like my job, mostly.. my co-workers are great, and most of the customers are cheerful (as they call and ask if we have bananas in stock.. yes? Will we have some tomorrow? Yes? How about the day after? Okay, thank you ^^) (although since I just graduated from college, I'll have to find a new one soon). I feel bad about ranting, now XD; By the way.. those new $10 bills o.o All my customers thought the new (colorful) $50's were pretty, and the $20's were neat.. but everyone keeps getting the new $10's and going, "Yuck.. that looks like Monopoly money, right there, if I ever saw some.. or maybe like someone had that thing hanging out by the outhouse a little too long" XD; I told one guy they were super-pretty like a sunset, and he goes, "With an outlook like that, maybe you think my ol' head is pretty too, eh? ^.~" ..mostly, they're good people XD;

The lack of thinking 'around here' is starting to get to me. And by around here, I mean at work, mainly, although I was tipped off by a thread title with a misspelling that always seems to get to me. "There," "their," and "they're" are three different words, with different meanings.. please use them correctly. "They're going down there to have their car fixed".. something like that. Is it so hard to write and read simple things in the language you natively speak? Tonight at work, I had to explain to a girl who'd been working with us for five months now, which lights to turn off and leave on when the store closes. Now, this was her department, and not mine.. but even I know how to turn off the lights, because there are only four switches, all next to eachother, and they all have sticky notes above them, with arrows pointing down to the two you leave on, and the two you switch off. Not very hard to do. Math also isn't hard to do. The odds of winning the lottery are so amazingly tiny that it blows my mind how regularly people 'invest' in this. I work at the service desk of a grocery store, which is, unfortunately, where we sell Powerball tickets. People come in, like clockwork, and buy ungodly amounts of these tickets a week. And then they get them on single tickets.. and come in and ask me to check literally 50 of those things (never mind the fact that we have a self-check machine mere footsteps away, and a neat little stack of printouts of the winning numbers). They're shocked when they win even one free ticket from the whole batch.. then they whip out a $50 and ask for more of 'em. I dont know how they can afford such a hobby @.@ And as far as affording things goes, cigarettes, oh the cigarettes. When someone comes in, cashes a child support check, buys a carton of cigarettes, then tells her kid, "No, we don't have the money for that cereal, stop asking".. I mean, jeeze. The service desk isn't a good place to work, I suppose.. I get all the obessive gamblers and smokers that give me the creeps, the people who can't properly read sale signs, people in other departments that cannot do their own jobs properly... and random people who are angry at me for things I have no control over. Chaa.. I could go on all night, but this is getting silly. Guess I'm just tired from working a darned 10am - 9:30pm shift XD;; At least I dont have this bizarre disease, which my friend's mother seems to have picked up o.o;;;

Struggling: Wow Or Guildwars Planing on buying a game...
Togi replied to Terence's topic in Computer Gaming
Although I liked FFXI better than WoW, it's still a solid and popular game. I personally like that type of MMORPG better than what Guildwars has to offer.. even if there is a monthly fee. But heck.. monthly fees like that aren't really that bad. I'm pretty sure I spend more on, say.. Raspberry tea, every month, than I do on my monthly fees XD; -
Microsoft Warns Users Of Pirated Windows Os with a Desktop Message
Togi replied to Inspiron's topic in Operating Systems
Huh.. so this is a real thing, eh?From the screenies, I guess it's already going on.. but I haven't heard anyone complaining about it in the Electronic Cafe at school, so I guess it didn't hit very hard. I suppose anyone who is going to pirate windows would be smart enough to turn off the automatic updates.. and I'm sure there will be a billion work-arounds.Windows software is just too expensive.. I guess you have to suck it up and buy it, if you dont want to use Linux.. but for people like my boyfriend and I, who are building, upgrading, and scrapping computers all the time.. switching out parts and wiping harddrives and stuff.. even going out and spending $200 on the OS software would cause a hassle, if we can't use it freely >.>Thank god for Tux -
This is sad ;.;Did the other hamster have her babies yet?

Guess not... some people sleep soundly? Man, though, a couple of weeks ago in our town, some guy raped a 71-year-old woman. They caught him pretty quickly, she knew who he was... but somehow that's almost more creepy. This guy was 21, and..... ah, either way it's no good. Some people just need to be stopped..

Ffxi Treasures Of Aht Urhgan Expansion Get ready for Pirates?
Togi posted a topic in Computer Gaming
Final Fantasy XI's third expansion came out (at least in the US) yesterday, and the content it contains is going to be unlocked tomorrow. With this expansion, XBox360 users are going to be able to play for the first time (along with the PC and PS2 users). They're going to introduce new jobs (blue mage, corsair, puppetmaster), as well as new zones, items, quests, mobs.. and a new type of battle, Besieged, which I'm really looking forward to ^^!I personally have been playing FFXI for about a year now, so I'm ready and waiting for the expansion.. and lots of new people will be coming in now, too.. it'll liven things up ^^Does anyone still play this game? Anyone planning on starting? -
Haha, you type so oddly.. ^^ ..it's fun to have posters from other countries. Keep up the good work XD I haven't been to a dentist in a while.. every time I go, they tell me I have too many teeth and need to get more pulled. After having 10 teeth pulled, I gave up. XD; I do like going for cleanings and stuff, though.. it's nice to have that clean feeling. All the brushing in the world can't match that ^.~

I remember playing with those when I was little, but I dont mess with them anymore.Maybe if one had multiple-choice answers based on personality, it could be used to.. eh.. warn a lil girl that the relationship might be in trouble if her boyfriend does mean things? ^^?Who knows XD

How To Tell If She Really Likes You Distance Wised?
Togi replied to Draogoon's topic in Dating And Relationships
I don't care either way whether the relationship is long-distance or not, stuff like that can work out every so often, so I wont discourage it just because of the distance, but really now.............You've only known her for a couple days... and she has a boyfriend........ but you're having phone sex? o.o?Does this really sound like a good basis for a relationship? Is this a kind of person you can trust to be faithful to you, if you did start dating her?And if nothing else, jeeze... wait until she's done with her current guy.. and totally done, not just on the rebound.Sounds like she had some fights with her man, and now she's looking to have some fun on the side, or make him jealous, or something silly and temporary like that. ^^;I could be wrong, though.. -
Love Can Be Suicide.... be careful
Togi replied to semeticsister's topic in Dating And Relationships
...that is sad.. Seems like people are venting on this 'Steven', but really.. you gotta stick up for the guy, I can't imagine he wanted it to end like this. And if you're not in love with someone any longer, you really need to break up... dragging it out isn't a good answer. I imagine he'd feel horrible, just like everyone else involved.. so...Oh well.. take care, everyone. It's great to love someone with your whole heart, but once it's over... don't let someone else's actions be more important than your life. There can't ever be anyone worth killing yourself over. -
Heh, weird XD Someone gave me this name, actually... a long time ago, when I didn't really have a screenname, and pokemon was popular. Someone said I was cute and cheerful like a togepi, and then... shortened the name down to Togi. People started calling me that, so I started using it... and now it's all I use. Well... Togii, with two I's, on FFXI, and FFXI-related-places.. because the one-I version was already taken. XD

Some people just shouldn't be allowed to have credit cards.. end of story XDAh, like that dollar for sell... both the seller, and the winning bidder, are eBay-newbies with 0 ratings. Or so it seems.I wonder if the sell actually went though as planned XD;

Looks like you're going to feel guilty all summer, either way... what a bummer.I'd try to tell supportive people right off... or people who are involved with your life; they have the right to know? I guess either way, they're your parents, and they love you?I guess I would give different advice to someone who was in middle school than I would to someone who was in college, though... stuff changes.Either way, good luck... don't bum out all summer, learn from your mistakes and do better next year.Oh.. and if they're going to find out eventually... tell them sooner rather than later... wont they just get more upset if they know you hid it for months?
-
Maybe the power supply is going out XD I guess it is finally time for a re-format... no fun to play with a computer that doesn't quite work anymore, eh?
-
Tipton, eh? I live in Jefferson City, and used to live in Columbia... both of those towns are an hour or so away from Tipton, aren't they? Not that it matters, but jeeze... living in those bigger towns, I never had any trouble like that, but these smaller towns are seeming to be like that. Last week in Linn, MO (where I go to college), someone actually broke into the home of a 71-yr-old woman and -raped- her. It's insane..!I wouldnt know what to do... I guess you do have to move, but having just moved into a nice, small town you like, then having to move because of some criminal, it's kind of...... jeeze. What is this world coming to?

Computers Are A Pain In The ....... latest experience with an old dell laptop
Togi replied to terminal2k's topic in The Vent
Hehe, ah man, this makes me paranoid. My Dell laptop stopped booting last summer, and I kinda.. took out the HD, made it into an external one with my "USB-on-a-rope"... and shoved the laptop in my desk. I'm finally going to take it apart and see what the deal is, tomorrow (I've had a busy year XD; ). This post doesnt make me feel very optimistic XD;Stupid laptops are such a pain to work on... I think I've been putting it off too long ^^;
