  1. It's not a conversion thing, it's people buying gil from websites.. these sites have services like that for WoW, too, but I'm not sure that as many people use it. The server I play on FFXI, Asura, is almost famous for having such a horrible economy, because of so many gilsellers.. but I love it anyways. I played WoW for a while, but it's just not as good (to me).
  2. Heh... I hate using the phone when I'm at home, and I almost never mess with my cell.. I just dont like to chat. But for some reason, I love answering the phone at work o.o Page the customers to another department, or tell them who is (or isnt o.o) working today.. it's fun.
  3. I dont know if I can agree with that part.. even Looney Toons has violent things like that, but you don't see many people saying Bugs Bunny is bad for children. Anyways, I guess it's like Terminal said.. it's not the site, it's stupid children. There are a billion different ways to get yourself kidnapped that have nothing to do with Myspace. My little sister uses sites like these, and even though she's 13, she knows better than to give out her personal info. Parents snooping into their child's personal life, though, I'm a little iffy on. I was a good kid, and never got into trouble, but I still didn't want my parents poking into my web activities.. I dont want them reading my chat longs any more than listening to my phone convs; kids need privacy too ^^; And really, as much as parents watch their kids, if the kid wanted to do something bad, or was flat-out stupid, even if the parent watched the kid 24/7, they'd still manage to get themselves kidnapped while skipping school or something. The parents can't be everywhere, ya know? Give them some advice, then let them have their website.. ^^;
  4. Wow... what a topic. I guess you'd have to research it XD;You say "Little kids do it at birthday parties", and eh.... not in this country they don't. Or at least, I've never see a ten-year-old spitting fire o.o;I guess if you Google it, you can find anything... but maybe it just takes practice, ne? ^^~
  5. I'm using Firefox, and haven't installed any cookie-related extensions, and it works fine... if Electriic's idea doesn't work for you, then we can troubleshoot it farther, I guess. What browser are you using, anyways? ^^
  6. Yeah, it died... but imagine if it had lived, reproduced.. brought about more of them? Hello evolution. There are lots of people who say evolution is a silly thing, but things like this almost prove it. Although maybe having only one eye is a bad thing, and having no nose at all is certainly bad... but if it had been born with an extra eye, or something like that... imagine o.o
  7. I dont think it makes you stupid... I think some people are stupid to begin with. If you believe everything you read, then you're foolish, and blaming the internet doesn't make it any better.It bugs me that teachers sometimes wont let you use the internet as a cited source on papers... you should be smart enough to double-check things and know when you're using a trusted source. If kids aren't smart enough, teachers should teach them how to be, not ban the source u.u
  8. Hehe.. little things cheer me up all the time like that.. little kindness things. Driving to school this morning, and a trucker flashed his lights at me.. sure enough, around the next corner, there was a bus stopped that I needed to watch out for. It's nice of strangers to warn you about things like that.. ^^Then getting breakfast, I realized the cafe ladies at my college actually know what I want for breakfast, and what my usual payment method is.. it made me happy to realize that they care enough to pay attention. ..some things are so nice.. ^^
  9. What are you feeding it? They make dog food for a reason... I see people giving their pets "people food" like treats, and it sometimes makes the animals ill..If the dog is just eating normal dogfood, maybe you should take it to a vet. I dont think dogs should be throwing up on a regular basis any more than people should o.o(But then, I'm more of a cat person, so what would I know? XD; )
  10. Heh, congrats. Hope everything goes well when you start living in the same area... sometimes it's a lot different to be living together, even if you've lived in the same town and hung out together a lot beforehand. ^^You moving closer to him, or is he moving closer to you? :3
  11. That's what I was going to say. My boyfriend looks things up online sometimes, and assumes the answers he gets there are correct, and it's bothersome. Who cares if some girl online / on a magazine wrote an article about it.. I see things differently. XD; But really, who cares.. guys can read whatever they want. I read/do a lot of 'guy things', but I dont really think of it like that until someone points it out to me ^^;
  12. That's weird o.oActually, the extremes are really the part that seems weird.. all the nursing homes around here are just that... nursing homes. They're not religious, one way or the other and... wow.No one will move him based on just what you say.. you need some adult who is responsible for his care to get him moved. If none of the adults involved will move him, maybe there is some good reason.. although the feeding thing seems weird. If he was alergic to cheese, or a vegitarian, or maybe he couldn't chew the meat, they wouldn't feed him that, so there has to be a different meal choice around for people who can't eat pork with cheese... so what's the deal? ^^;
  13. That's what my dad said, too, when my little brother started dressing like that XD Think there's any truth to it? o.o
  14. Yeah, that's something that bothers me.. people are being whiny for no reason. If I said I still hated Japanese people because of WWII or something, people would look at me like I'm an idiot, because who holds stupid grudges that long, over something that happened before I was born? I try not to hold grudges over things that happened to me personally.. it's silly for people to be angry/upset/guilty/etc over something their ancestors did. Bah. ^^;
  15. Togi

    I'm So Clumsy

    Those sound like dangerous stairs XDNext time you oughta get dressed first.. the couch isn't going anywhere? XD
  16. I actually was going to say the same thing... even if the kid was listening in, maybe you should try to talk about more pleasent things while on the bus XD;But yeah, there was a kid like that in our school, too.. he would actually throw rocks and hit people and stuff, and none of the teachers really stopped him, because the 'poor kid' was disabled. We were all scared of him in elementary school, which is sad.. he never really did make any friends, even after he got a little less violent ^^; And jlhaslip.. I think if someone replied that way to me, I'd assume they were being sarcastic or something, and it'd probably tick me off XD But it is better than being rude, you're right ^^
  17. Mmm... I guess with LiveJournal, you can make the community "Members Only", with only the first post open to the public, for people who want to join, but... I guess that doesnt stop them from joining for long enough to make a bad post. Also kind of keeps out the anonymous users... sometimes those people have good input, even if they don't have a name ^^;
  18. A couple people have asked what the difference is, and no one is explaining it, so I will..Anime is.. animated. The cartoons you watch on TV, with color and moving figures and sound.Manga is the comic version. It's a book, and most generally in black and white. Normally the manga is made first, then they make an anime version of the story later on.Normally, I prefer anime, myself.. I think it's because I like the music. I like anime, but I love jpop.. so half the time I like the opening/closing themes more than the actual show itself. Shows look nice in color, and it's 'bigger' on your screen, so it's easier to see what is happening. It's also a lot easier to enjoy it together with my boyfriend than it is to read a manga together. Manga has its good points, though.. you can carry a book around and read it on your lunch break, stuff like that. Also, the story.. Marmalade Boy is a good example of one where I -loved- the manga, but the anime version is just so.. so.. something. I dont like it ;.;
  19. Keep us posted.. I'm totally watching this thread XD I can never really get mad at 'em, because they're just doing their job.. I hate it when customers get angry at me for enforcing (stupid) rules I didn't make up.. I'm just trying to pay my rent, here ^^;
  20. Jeeze.. I thought my old place was bad about throwing parties and having people crashing on the couch all the time XD;I guess stuff like this is halfway normal, assuming you're in the 'college student' age/croud, but that seems outta hand. XD;Good luck o.o
  21. I dunno... it's fun to meet people online, and I have one good friend in particular who I talk to in great depth, for hours, nearly every night... but I still wouldn't want to 'date' him, since he lives halfway across the state and it'd be weird.That, and I have a wonderful b/f IRL, already, haha XDAnd that, really, was the reason I was going to reply. My boyfriend had to move out of town (to take a couple classes at a different college) for 9 months, and so, for the first time since I met him, he lived hours away, instead of minutes. I'm taking 19 credit hours in college, and have a full-time job, so I was lucky to see him once a month, IRL. We're both computer people, so we kept in contact over IMs every night, and it was -weird-. Although he's very smart, he types newbishly, in a way that normally makes me assume the other person is a child.. his personality is very feminine, and he just acts different overall. It all seemed quite ackward, for the most part, and strangely, it made me think... had I met him and got to know him online, without ever meeting him IRL, I wouldn't have hardly given him a second glance. Yet now that he's back in town (just moved back about two weeks ago ^^!), everything is lovely, just like it was before. It really made me think, though.. that my 'favorite person ever' IRL could seem so different when we were forced to chat just in IMs and emails. I wonder if my favorite people online would seem as appealing IRL, then o.o
  22. Why do some months have more lines than others? XD;I'm a May, and that seems pretty correct, but then... all the months seem like they could relate to me. Maybe I'm just.. versatile?
  23. ....this is scary o.oI dont eat at McDonalds very often because the food isn't very tasty.. but now I'm just paranoid XD;Hope the kid is okay... good luck with your lawsuit? o.o
  24. Go Mich go.. don't let 'em get away with it o.oI dont trust telemarketers... I figure if I want to buy something, I'll hunt around and find the best deal myself.. don't come to me, I'll come to you. ^^;
  25. Haha, this thread reminds me of Postsecret.. :B I can't say I really have any.. well.. secret things that are my own. I tend to say lots of everything that comes to my head.. so it doesn't work well ^^; And Seer.. that is interesting o.o I wanna hear a voice recording, now XD
