Hi,Yes, after a little hassle, I am finally hosted with Xisto. Turns out I was looking for the email in the wrong place, lol. However, I have a problem: I have just signed up my account, and I have checked every detail carefully. But I am trying to get into my cpanel, and when I go to my Cpanel address, I am asked for my password three times an then told it is wrong, even though I checked my signup form carefully and it is the right password! Please can someone try to help me out here. Thanks!

Yeah. Like at the end of the program, if you forget to type "end" it would never end the program, causing major errors when it reaches the end because there's nothing to do! So you have to use an "end" command.

Not really... C and C++ does use some advanced coding but you should get the hang of it pretty easily...Although, if the teacher doesn't understand C/C++, you'll have a little trouble getting support if you need it...

D'oh! If that's the case, I'll have to wait a few more years until I get the money.I'd just like to say at this point tat there seems to be a little misunderstanding. I am already working on my RPG but it is single-player at the moment, and I want to know if there is an easy way to make it into a multiplayer.

I know this may not be a question directly related to RPGs, but I couldn't find a better place to put it, so if there is a more appropriate place, please move it for me. Thanks! Ok, I've got a question. As an amateur programmer, I have found many ways to make some different games that are of mixed levels of professionalism. My favourites are RPGs, and I'm working on this really big one that I hope to make into an online game sometime. This has lead me to a very big question. Recently I've noticed the shear amount of Rpg's people have made that are online, and many are multiplayer. I am especially keen on the MMORPGs, as I like the idea of player interaction and trading systems, et cetera, et cetera, but all the programs I have used to make RPGs are single player, and I want to know if there is a way to make MMORPGs. If you think you can help me, please post here. I don't mind having to do any hard work, but I want to be able to have a basic understanding of the idea. So all help appreciated. Thanks! -NDPA

Pretty nice story. Of course, before any of this actually happened we would be dead anyway. Or so the theory is. This is because the Sun's energy would hit the earth more powerfully than before, causing deadly radiation. There are two reasons why this may occour, one is that we have been destroying the ozone layer through pollution, so we would recieve the entire sun's energy - which causes deadly radiation. The second is that, when the sun finally burns out, it will use up its remaining energy quicker and the result would be powerful radiation.Of course, the theories only work if you actually believe the sun will die out...

You can also add your site to the Trusted Sites list (Tools > Internet Options > Security), although that just lowers IE's protection on the site, it doesn't really fix anything. To be honest, even though I am quite a good JavaScript programmer, even I have this problem and I have not yet found a solution. FLaKes' idea may be the only way, but I don't think it works...

For some reason, seeing you say that reminded me of two quotes I read in books which are very relevant today. One is, "Everything in life is what you make it", and the other is, "No word has a definition - we have definitions for words". The truth of the matter is, love is what you make of it - it's what you think love is that makes it what it is.

I think that thing you are reffering to is called the E-Reader. The E-Reader cards were cool cards, with the special designs and the data you could get from scanning 'em... it makes me wonder why the E-Reader was never released in the UK and was also very rare in the US. we've all wanted an updated TCG Nintendo game to come out, but it seems no-one is intrested in making it... And I think they're right to think that the saless of Pokemon TCG Cards will eventually plummet. With the yearly world tournaments, newer decks are becoming "outdated" every year, and to be honest, you will need the newest decks to even PLAY a game. Not many people like this, so it probably won't last...

The matter of love is the biggest puzzle to the human mind, as noone can define love nor explain why it exists. I'm going to put it simply by quoting something that has been said by nearly anyone: "If you ask what love is, you'll never know".

gameratheart replied to gameratheart's topic in General Discussion
Ok, thanks guys! And I'd just like to compliment the Xisto staff for such a brilliant hosting service that has outmatched any other I've known. I suppose it would be ok to close this topic now... Notice from jlhaslip: Closing -
How Long Has Trap17 Been Up? Trap17.com Trap17.net

You think 20th June 2004? I'm surprised by that, but then again I doubted Xisto WAS that old... But what about my other question? Since when was Xisto.net started, since I don't believe it was at the same time as Xisto.com? That's what I thought actually. But a more specific date would be very helpful. -

Hi all, I've seen Xisto on the web for ages now, that I've actually forgotten how long it was between me seeing the site and me actually signing up. But I only noticed about a week ago about Xisto.net hosting. This has left me with two questions: 1. How long has Xisto.net Free Hosting been up for? 2. In fact, how long has Xisto as a whole been up for? I can't see the answers anywhere and I'd like to know! If you know the answers, please reply. Thanks in advance! -NDPA. -
How Did You Hear About This Forum word
gameratheart replied to googlue's topic in General Discussion
I found Xisto when I searched google for "free web hosts", and then found a page listing loads of them (cant remember the URL). Xisto was the only decent one I could find.Actually, I found Xisto before I found Xisto but since Xisto is more "Techie-based", I decided not to sign up with Xisto. Then I found Xisto, and here I am! So that's my vote. -
Real Frankenstein! Boffins Discover Bringing Back the Dead
gameratheart replied to serverph's topic in General Discussion
(Smiles at the sensbility Stastis has used) Stastis, although I would usually say a person who posted this kind of thing that they were wrong, you have supplied too much evidence that this is, in fact, another deliberate hoax. Science has been unable to create such a possibilty as of yet. (And one of the biggest questions we ask is, will they ever? ) This just goes to show that you can't believe everything that you read (even if it is in the news - media DOES lie, sorry to say). You should think about the story that you are about to post is plausible before you post it. But while we're on this matter, what do you think life'd be like if all this HAD been true? -
Real Frankenstein! Boffins Discover Bringing Back the Dead
gameratheart replied to serverph's topic in General Discussion
Well none of us really know what is going to result from an expiriment like this, but if science is finding ways to sustain life and effectively create zombies, then I can safely say without doubt that Science is blurring the line between fantasy and reality.Hmm... "Blurring the line between fantasy and reality"... that gives me an idea! -
This story is a complete hoax. In 2003 a mass email sent to everyone claimed that KFC was banned from using the word "Chicken" due to the fact that their chickens were genetically modified and had vital parts removed such as beaks and wings, thereby no longer making them a chicken. They were apparently kept alive by having nutrients squirted into them through tubes. But there is no record of any ban on KFC, and also it would be treated as cruelty to animals if such a thing was possible. To repeat, the story is a complete hoax. KFC DOES use real chickens. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

Messenger Services Which one(s) do you use often?
gameratheart replied to shigajet's topic in Software
I use MSN Messenger. Most of my friends do too. We find the interface very friendly and we link the style of the program, you never misss a message, it looks so cool, and there are loads of features that you don't get on other IMs. Although it did mean we had to sign up with hotmail first to use it, which totally blows. -
I like to hear people taking about creating their own games on the web, especially MMORPGs, and every time I hear people talk about MMORPG's I think, "Why can't I make one up?".But that leads to another question "How?" :lol:I'd love to help with web design but after three sites I've designed have more-or-less died, I can safely say that my skills won't be much good...

In your opinion anyway... Yeah, the old RPGs were way cool. I hardly ever got to try em though. I like the new LeafGreen one though... pretty nice remake of Blue version. Not all the Yu-Gi-Oh! Monsters are ugly, but you have to realise that Yu-Gi-oh is based more on battling, as you can only use them in battle. Whileas pokemon are like pets, you can use em anywhere and it's all about caring for them. This makes a big difference in the way they look. And then again, we all have our own opinions...

Well to be honest I have to agree with you. The Pokemon TCG is still going, and a lot of people still do play it, but now that Nintendo has taken over making the TCG from Wizards of The Coast, it's become a completely different game. most people won't even let you use the old cards anymore, which makes them rather worthless. And there is so little variety in the new decks, is it even worth getting em? I ask you...
