  1. Didn't try it yet, I even don't find the menu allowing that. Was somebody else succesful?
  2. Nobody has the answer ? I also have this problem, with my Microsoft Word .docx files. I know I wrote something about testing the "lparstat" command usage and examples, but I don't remember in which document I wrote this. I will try wingrep with the zip option, but I'm almost sure that excel and word files are binary files but aren't zipped files.
  3. OK, seems to be a problem with system restore? Great! Hurray for Windows security features! An updates makes a system restore impossible? Incredible!
  4. Don't really understand your goal. Do you want to learn graphic design ? Or do you want to learn for free ? Or do you want to earn immediately a lot of money without having to learn something, or without having to work a lot ?
  5. Did you install the new Windows 10 1809 update ? It's known being bugged, but the bugs are told to be fixed. Anyhow, for home user, there seem to be no way to refuse the current update.
  6. Ha-ha-ha, sorry, my mistake! This topic was posted in the forum, maybe that's the reason of my confusion. You are right, I searched the forum database, I didn't search the Xisto support knowledge database.
  7. Very strange, indeed. I also find a lot of results, can't guess where the problem is. Did you really type the word vmware inside the search box ?
  8. Nobody has the answer ? How to backup and read offline my SMS messages before cleaning up in order to save room on my phone ?
  9. Seems that nobody around here has cats and dogs in the same house!
  10. I guess that the "RPG" part means "Role Playing Games". But what does the "A" mean ? "Almost" ? "Administrative"? "Albeit"?
  11. Sorry, but I don't care about this! If I want to give my opinion, I say what I want to say. If the mod's feel it off-topic, that's their problem!
  12. By the way, how does your warn status appear? Is it clickable? You should be able to click the words "Warn Status".
  13. Wow! Mozilla 4 ! I'm still satisfied with my FireFox 2, why should I switch to Mozilla 4 ? Will eat more cpu, will need a bigger computer?
  14. On Xisto : http://forums.xisto.com/topic/68879-topic/ And at Xisto : Similar, but different, so no plagiarism. Be careful, mods can see when you have been warned. If you say "two monthes ago" and it was four days ago, nobody will believe you are really honest.
  15. ChillyFox ! I love it ! Would it be bundled with WranglerBird for the mails ?
  16. I voted for "other" in the poll. I type "ftp:username@myhost" in the IE6 URL field, it opens a window with the remote computer folder, and I can copy-paste from and to my computer. This is very convenient when you often switch computers, and you happen to be on a computer where no ftp client is installed, or I am not familiar with the installed ftp client.
  17. Or he forgot refreshing his browser window?
  18. I also see your rep, you said : does your browser have a problem? I use IE7
  19. As a standard user, I cannot see your warning level. And, yes, why not, this could be the right place for this topic, your warning level is part of your signature, as it's the way the mods see your behaviour.
  20. Depends how much time you have, and how much money you could imagine obtain.I have a rather selfish idea. When I go walking for a long time (several days for instance) my PC is very interesting for keeping me in touch with my friends (mail and MSN).For walkers there are solar pannels, on your bag, charging a battery. It would be interesting to see how much watts/hour a portable solar pannel near your contry can provide, and see if you can create a complete set with the solar cell on the bag containing a EE-pc, and verify that after on day walking in the country you have power enough for surfing on the net during a couple of hours before going to sleep.
  21. Don't worry about Credits, just watch your myCENTS balance. When you write down posts, myCENTS increase. When it reaches 100, your myEARNINGS will change from 0.0 to $1.0, and your cents will return down to 0.0 and will grop up with the new posts. You should have at least $3 in your account in order to pay your monthly due for your site hosting.
  22. Yes, I am registered. I have six posts in the forum, and at Xisto - Support I have the following zeros everywhere in the statistics : And, as you can see, almost eight hours since my last post.
  23. Seems that some libraries are missing, either physically not installed or need to be #included. Also, the msleep functions has different meanings, depending from the C version you use. This intruduces the accurante moment to talk a bout the portability guide, which defines the way of writing programs in such a way that they can be compiled on all ansi C compliant compilers.
  24. My myCENTs did not appear after writing this post (my fifth one). Probably I will have to wait a couple of hours. Let's wait and see.
  25. This is partly true, but partly unclear.Bad sectors are some places where the magnetic coating of the disk is damaged. When you format your hard disk, Windows takes notice where the bad sectors are and defines replacement sectors for data to be written. That's why, when you install Windows (or when somebody installs it for you) the installation first formats the disk, so the place of the bad sectors are known by the operating system. If no more bad sectors appear, this is harmless. I have a hard disk which had ten bad sectors, and I used this hard disk without problem during eight years. The problem starts if new bad sectors appear. If these bad sectors are in an area having data, the data are unreadable. If these bad sectors are in an area with system binary files, these binary files are not usable, suppose this occurs with the file iexplore.com, you have no internet explorer, you cannot surf on the net. The only moment where you cannot boot your system is when the bad sectors are in the boot area, a corrupted boot sector makes a corruptly booting machine.
