ya places like devientart have GD or imagemagick installed to make the thumbnails, like final said it would be very time consuming to download a pic, resize it, then reupload itand other places like nexopia add watermarks to pictures which also require GD or ImageMagick to do automatically
-
never realized it was gone, but then again i never use it, but thats cool glad to see its back because im guessing alot of people need it really badly
-
i thought i had posted already but ill say again, imagemagick is obviously installed but it need ghostscript to work with my forums and i understand that OpaQue is very busy but its just something i felt i should point out
-
LMAO!!! This is such BS!! i dont believe it, maybe they have special fabric or something but its definetly not something that accually works...thats just such a privacy invasion that it would never hit the market and if it did it would be unbelievable expensive and it would scare people that there are some people that have these lenses and we would all spend our lives in our houses, except for nudists who really dont care.... but i definetly wouldnt want people to be facinated at my naked body...really...how do they plan to market this??
-
ya it would be so much easier if they just put a navigation on the main site its like they are trying to hid what they offer... i may be smart enough to look through google and find out what they have to offer but there are alot of people who arnt computer smart and really dont know exactly what google offers

m^e, can you edit the title again to "Image Magick needs Ghostscript to work on vBulletin"i think you have the wrong idea in the title

Question About Windows Theme Availability
plot replied to Jguy101's topic in Websites and Web Designing
i didnt know windows uses .theme files i use wincustomize and that works great, its really easy and i doesnt slow down my computer to much, i can play games like call of duty2 and battlefield2 with very little lag and wincustomize is running in the background, i also use stylexp -
im trying to use imagemagick on Xisto but i couldnt, i found a small problem and went on vbulletin.com to figuer it out and found this topic Link: vbulletin.com/forum/forum/vbulletin-legacy-versions-products/legacy-vbulletin-versions/vbulletin-3-5-how-do-i-questions-and-troubleshooting/166052-imagemagick-image-in-admin?t=162053 it appears i cant use imagemagick with vbulletin unless ghostscript is installed first??

the path to imagemagick is usually "/usr/bin" or "/usr/local/bin" in astahosts case i beleive its "/usr/bin"

Www.rapidshare.de a good place to place your files
plot replied to smyke's topic in General Discussion
okay, here are my views on things, rapidshare is a good host, the 50mb is a little limiting and its doesnt make people happy when they have a free account and have to download 70 parts for a program you want and it wont work unless you have all the parts( only alowing 50mb an hour which in most cases is 1 download per hour!) althought premium account is worth it, still the free account of other users do get a little annoye with thier download limit.. i much rather prefer megaupload mostly because thier upload rate is nice and fast plus you get to password your file and upload via ftp/http which is pretty cool, and if you have a platinum account (like me) you get to paid for popular files (i think $6 for 1000 downloads) the first host to pay you to host your files but thier download rate has gone threw the floor resently (5kb/s) even with my platinum account, i got no idea whats goin on with them, im sending them an email soon enough.... you dont need to download a program, its just a bug and this fixes it, some people have the bug some dont, and i think yousendit is a joke as well because i tried hosting a 50 meg file and it went fine but i tried hosting anothe rjust after it and 3 hours later i find that i had a 404 error... which is pretty stupid....as for your inbetween i would suggest megaupload, getting paid to host your files and they have an ftp/http upload (which means give them the address to the file and they upload it) and they have accually lived up to thie 2 gig limit which is pretty cool, i have a file thats 700 megs uploaded on thier and i just uploaded some stuff i wanted to keep because i was formating my computer, which was almost 4 gigs but i split em up and used 1.9gigs and it uploaded within a day and i could download them perfectly people dont host files on thier server because people downloading them would eat up bandwidth and with webhosts (like my paid one) it takes up bandwidth just uploading and even though thier are alot of ads telling you how much better premium/platinum accounts are, you dont realize it till you accually pay and find out that they live up to what they say! its amazing.... -
GD is an open source code library for the dynamic creation of images by programmers. GD is written in C, and "wrappers" are available for Perl, PHP and other languages. GD creates PNG, JPEG and GIF images, among other formats. GD is commonly used to generate charts, graphics, thumbnails, and most anything else, on the fly. While not restricted to use on the web, the most common applications of GD involve web site development. you know those verifacation images on forums and websites? GD creates them. Resizing images, adding watermarks in your gallery automaticly, GD does that... or you could use imagemagick which does the same thing, pretty much with out GD you can have a fully proporly functioning gallery

Everyone welcome the new MSN, which Microsoft has called Windows Live Messenger. This will be the next-generation MSN Messenger. The name is new, but it will still be free to download Messenger and use most of its features. And there will be some remarkable new ways to instantly share and connect with friends. Which pretty much means the butterfly has been retired. This is going to be one step Microsoft is taking in putting together Windows Live. Windows Live. So the things you care about - your friends, the latest information, your e-mails, powerful search, your PC files, everything â comes together in one place. This is a brand new Internet experience designed to put you in control. And this is just the beginning â you'll see many more new services in the coming months. Once windows live is implemented everything on your PC will be related to every on the internet! Windows Live includes such things like Window Live Mail: Itâs all new web mail, built from the ground up. Preview your e-mail without loading a new page each time (like OutlookÂŽ) drag and drop messages into folders, and generally power through your e-mail in a flash. Picture this: You search for a restaurant with your phone, then click on the result to be connected immediately. Plus, you can see detailed maps, driving directions, and moreâall formatted to fit the screen on your mobile device. The things you should have to help protect your PC, but probably donât because theyâre such a hassle. Stuff like virus scanning, firewall settings, tune ups, and software backupsâtied up with a bow and delivered to you in a friendly, easy-to-use package that runs quietly in the background. After the announcements November 1st about Microsoft's new "live" services the company held a press conference detailing all the products in the Microsoft Live platform. The company demo'd what is set to be Windows Live Messenger (the next generation of MSN Messenger). Similar to what we exclusively revealed months ago (Wave 11), the screenshots show a simplified interface and a fresh coloured feel. The next generation Messenger is expected to beta within the month and Microsoft's MSN team is aggresively seeking new testers for the upcoming client. Windows Live Messenger is expected to intergrate better PIM functionality, Skype like calling features, Windows Live Local intergration and better support for MSN Spaces. I am currently a beta test and I just had one problem, the client was loaded with a whole bunch of junk I didnât need (search bars ads ect..) luckily some1 had made a patch to remove it all and after being with WLM8 for almost 2 months its definetly something im looking forward to and I surly cannot wait until microsoft releases their Live protocol and here are a few screenshots http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/ http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/

whats the point of this site, connecting through social networks?? I don’t get it, is this a forum? An instant messenger? What is it?

This isn’t the best browser and I don’t plan on downloading it, maybe if you had some pictures to show me, depends how appealing it looks, only that will depend on if I get it or not
