  1. I started out using frontpage to design websites as i found it easy to use and was the starting line for me to learn html. I have done about 4 or 5 sites using frontpage and have never had any problems using it.I was then introduced to Dreamweaver through work and started using that. It is so much better than frontpage to use and especially as i also use photoshop to do a lot of my sites i can load it up in dreamweaver and start to add bits to it. I couldnt do this in frontpage, so it makes life a lot easier. Also like the fact that everything you need for web design is incorporated into dreamweaver. I have the package which contains fireworks and flash mx, this a package i would recommend to all people that are using frontpage and want to take a step up.
  2. Ive just come into using Photoshop about 6 months ago and am just getting used to it. I think its an amazing program and is helpful in all sorts of aspects that i do on a day to day basis.I havent really tried any other software in this genre before so i cant really put it up against anything other than MS paint!
  3. I like them.I like the backgrounds, what did you use to make them? was it with brushes or a certain technique? All in all i think they're good.
  4. My thoughts exactly that no one has made a thread about this awesome series of games til now.I remember my mate having the first Tony Hawk on his PSX and we used to sit there for hours on end playing it winner stays on style! You had to get good at the game just to get a look in. I love the Pro skater games, but didnt really get into the T.H.U.G games. I think the second one was the best in my opinion, top notch game adn will be a skating classic in years to come. Looking forward to the new Tony Hawks coming out called "Tony Hawks Wasteland" have a look for it, its looks absoloutely awesome.Without a doubt THE best skating game to date.Do have to say though, Neversoft and Activision have done a great job of bringing the X games to the computer world. Matt Hoffman Pro BMX is also top of the league, Shaun Palmer Pro Snowboarder and Kelly Slater pro surfer have also been top games.
  5. I found this game really boring and lifeless. I played it for a couple of hours over two days and just found i was doing pretty much the same thing over and over again. I prefer GTA to it as your changing the missions each time.Obviously this is my opinion.

  7. For all of those people out that dreamed of being able to go and ride in the gunning robots from matrix revolutions or the ones from Aliens, you are closer than you think to doing this. Neogentronyx is a US company that has built a prototype, human piloted "mech" robot. Their main reason for doing this is for the robots to be used in an arena to fight other robots for entertainment purposes. The NMX04-1A is a 18ft tall bi-ped and has two arms, this particular model has also been fitted with a flame thrower on each arm. Although this has purely been built for the reasons of entertainment, the creation of it could lead onto helping out the human race in many aspects of life. The company has a website, with video footage and pictures of the robot. You can also invest in the production of the worlds first Mecha. You can read up on all the information at Neogentronyx
  8. Would have to say in my top five would be1. Vanilla Sky2. Back to the Future3. Butterfly Effect4. Big Fish5. 9. I think theres pros and cons to the game to movie situation. There have been some really good move overs for example Tomb Raider and Resident evil.On the other hand there have been some right bloopers too, i mean take streetfighter, such an amazing game and the film was such a let down.Sagat in the film was some average sized dude and didnt really stick out as an aggresive character. I think you could make a truely great film from Splinter Cell and Doom as long as it sticks to the game and not going off on some random tangent.
  10. My apologies if this is in the wrong section, i didnt know where the best place would be to put it. Please move to the appropriate place if needed.I have microsoft encarta installed on aproximately 400 machines where i work. Since the forced installation of Service pack 2, it has failed to work correctly. It will eventually load up but as tests show (and lessons only last 50 mins) it is pointless even bothering to open it. It also affects the running of the machines to when trying to open it.Does anyone know of any conflictions between the two?I know there are a few problems with certain programs and SP2, but i would have thought that they would have fixed any problems with their own programs. Also maybe someone may know of a patch in existence to solve this problem. If anyone has any information it would be greatly appreciated. You would also give me a holiday over the summer as this is the only reason i have to come in during the summer holidays. Thanks in advance
  11. I was told about this game (live and reloaded) a little while back, that it was a fun game and worth the purchase. I picked it up yesterday and i have not been disappointed at all.It hilarious, love all the story snippets and the general comic value of the game. The characters are great "birdy" the scarecrow and the scouse ladybirds!!!I havent had chance to play the online multiplayer as of yet but i heard good reviews about it.All in all found this game highly funny and enjoyable, definately worth getting in my eyes
  12. I prefer the first one to be honest much better playing time on it. I dont like the way you have to search for the shops to get parts from and have to drive from here to there to go and do a race.It was much easier in the first, you just did the race.Just found i got bored after driving around everywhere searching for the shops to upgrade parts.
  13. The artwork of these artists listed is incredible. I mean what i would give to be able to create amazing pieces of art like those with a computer. I love drawing, sketching using the traditional method eg pencil paper and paints but to learn this would be great.I love Feng Zhu's work and also the work of david levy.Oh well i can only wish that one day i'll get to that standard.
  14. I think a good example for this question is from the film Bicentineal man (excuse my spelling)Where a robot wishes to be classed as a human, it goes through the courts and what the judge says, sums it up pretty well."You cannot class a robot as human as a robot is immortal"I mean the fact that parts can just be replaced means that they will outlive humans and to that point they cant be classed as humans in my opinion.
  15. I like the Earthworm Jim sig, i like the way it has a blurred white silouette in the background.do you fancy writing up a tutorial for that one?Keep up the good work
  16. I like it, its eye catching, not too in your face and its not your original 400x100 square siggie. Thumbs up from me!!!Just a question...When you come round to cutting of edges of the sig do you originally start with a transparent background? ive tried to do this but to no joy.
  17. I cant think of them all off the top of my head as i have quite a few games for my Xbox, but i'll have a go.Need for speed underground 1 & 2Halo 1 & 2Fifa 2005Fifa streetdoom 3juicednba street 2 & 3nfl street 2matt hoffman 2gta 3gta vice citygta san andreaspunisherproject snowblindsplinter cellsplinter cell chaos theorygolden eye rouge agentcounter strikemarvel vs capcom 2tiger woods 2004outrun 2spongebob squarepants the moviehouse of the dead 3forza motorsportstar wars battlefrontburnout 3cold fearstreet racing syndicatessx 3Thats all i can think of
  18. Wow that is awesome, extremely eye catching and would entice me to look through your site. You fancy designing me one as im not too hot on page design!!! All the same, keep up the good work.
  19. I like it, like the way it looks and it definately captures your eye.It would make a good flyer for a rave or club night.
  20. WOW!!!I havent heard anyone mention this game for ages (forgot about it to be honest) gonna have to pull out the n64 now and have a blast at it!!I remember a load of my friends and i sitting round a small portable tv playing multiplayer on it, screaming and shouting trying to get the golden gun.Definatley one of my top ten games of all time.
  21. I have gone over to using gmail, as hotmail iritates the hell outta me. I have more junk mail on hotmail than actual mail, and there is no way of getting rid of it. I have had my gmail account for about 5 months and have not had one bit of crap on it yet. The size of the inbox is immense and it is easy to use. So i think that gmail will come out on top in the email battle.
  22. I personally like a white background with light blue menu and logo's etc, they seem to compliment each other well. I find a black background a bit much on the eyes, but we all have our own personal prefernces. I like the colour layout of this particular forum, its nice and not too in your face.
  23. Just been trying to think what line they can go down now with the GTA series. They have done the mafia one, miami/scarface one and also the south central LA, so what now.My betting is it will be along the lines of another gang, i mean there is not really another way of going about a game like this. Maybe as someone stated in another reply earlier on, the tokyo idea. Would be good if they done an english style version of the game, but would probably be a lot similar to the Driver games.
  24. Cool effect will come in handy at some point im sure.can add this to the other helpful tutorials that i have found on my searches. Thanks
  25. I originally started by using frontpage, as it has a good layout for beginners and is easy to use. It was where i learnt a lot of html, by building it in the design page and then flicking over to html view to see how it all pans out.Now that im a bit more at home with it all, i tend to use Dreamweaver a lot, it has more options and allows you to use designs made in photoshop too.
