  1. The chips in the shoe seems interesting, but really don't think anyone would pay 200 dolaars to wear it expect people who would use it the most e.g. athletes. It does show however, how far technology has gone to help make our lives more comfortable.
  2. I'm already in another team, so I won't partcipiate, but I do have the software.
  3. Not unless you want to get rid of these ads, which would mean we'll pay for the free hosting. I don't think astrahost own the server that gives off the advertisement.
  4. It's funny that we know more about space than we do about sea creatures. We don't know half the creatures that could be in the sea, by the fact the we may never be able to get there due to technological problems. So all we can do is speculate on their possible size based on the environment that they live in. Thats probably the best measurement.
  5. There are countless mods for HL and many mods for HL2 still under devlopement. Which one do you like and which ones are you waiting your hearts out to be released?I waiting for NS:Source (http://unknownworlds.com/) to be devloped. I'm playing normal NS right now any many of its features are great. Extremely good game and source would just make it even better.
  6. I like source. The graphics make it seem more realisitic. That said, some people have been complaining that rego is very bad (I don't find any problems) and guys who are good with 1.6 are bad at source. I like it thou.
  7. Theres was another site for xmb hack, I think it was http://www.xmbhacks.co.uk/
  8. This is for the all people, whether they are religous or not. It would be a sightly different question for the atheists/agnosticsFor religous people? Why do you believe in your God or gods (remember, some faith are different)? Were you brought up with it, and do you agree with its principles and current direction? Or do you just believe as a habit? For atheists/agnosticsWhy don't believe in your God? Were you brought up with it, and do you agree with its principles and current direction? Or do you just believe as a habit? Its a interesting question on faith, and why we have it and I wanted to see why this community believes what they believe in.
  9. What do you seek in a game? Graphics? Good storyline? And when is too much, too much?I personally think there is too much graphics in today's games, and it seems to be a epidemic within the devloping community that more graphics means better games, which is defiantly not true. You just need to looks at DOOM 3 and see how much of a dud it was. Nice graphics, but poor AI, gameplay etc. sent DOOM 3 crashing into obvilion. You look at games like Natural-Selection, which uses the HL engine (which is 6 or so years old) and how it has become more popular independent Half-life mod (i.e. Not brought by Valve)So my opinion is there need to be more emphisis to storyline and less on graphics.
  10. The gay issue is a toughie to solve, because you have many different people of many different faiths, and believes. Marrage has tradionally been between a man and a woman (according to the bible, which is the basis for today's laws, whether you like it or not) and fact is, many people would want to defend the fact that is the case. Which makes the issue a hell for alot harder solve.I see no problem with homosexuals. I try my best to judge people on character and not sexual taste. After all, I'm not gay myself, so I wouldn't be worried of him hitting on me .However marriages are harder. Do we make churches/religous groups conduct homosexual marrages, which contridict thier faith? And why don't just stay on a de facto relationship? It has most of the beneficts of marriage anyway.I personally think we need to separate between a marriage and a civil union. That would still keep Marriage sacred while allowing homosexuals to be lawfully joint together.
  11. As you know Pope Benedict XVI was recently elected to become the pope. What are your opinions on the pope? Do you agree with his conservatism? How do you think he will go against Pope John Paul II (some people have called him John Paul the Great).. As for my opinions, I think Benedict might end up cause another schism (where parts of the church will split with another one e.g. the Roman Catholic Church and the Eastern Orthodox) between his conservative ruling and the more liberal churches in Europe and America. However, I think he will be able to manage the 1 billion Catholic n the world, since he will be unable to go on trips like John Paul, means he is able to take care of the business end of running a church.
  12. yeah, thanks for thatMy only real experince is with PCs, so I'll probably go for that option.
  13. This is a hypothetical situation. Nowadays, we don’t think of it, but during the Cold War, this was a major thought for many people. Children, adults, politicians. Now I want you to imagine it and say what would you do? You’re a politician for a random country (can be any). You wake up to an almost desolate ground, all structures, houses that you saw driving home from work, all crumbled into dust. You frantically run outside in a robe, to see just outside your front porch, a body, blood splattered all over him. You check his pulse. Nothing, he is long dead. Then you realize, he is your neighbour, of 15 year. You run and get your mobile. It’s dead, doesn’t seem to work. Then you race to your car. The roof of the cars has been crushed, but amazingly, you can fit into the driver’s seat. More amazing, is the car works. You drive quickly to the government house. On your way you see people fantically trying to get out. Then, gunshots. Then men, armed with a array of weapons. M16s, AKs, they had them. One of them screams, ‘This is your country now!’ And shoots. Some of the bullet hit your car and you start driving like a madman. In a few minutes, your in captal city, with a very depressing sight. You see a police officer, armed only with a pistol, brutally murdered by guys twice his size with AK47. You quickly drive to parliament, where you see the military, police and partisans (or milita) in a bloody shootout with the guys with similar outfit to the guys before. You then come to realize that something catastrophic incident has happened, and now anarchy rules. From here on in, whether you do with him, is up to you. What would you do? Whose side will you be on? How are you going to find out what happened? NOTE: This may not be the best place to put it. If so, can you moveit to the apporirate location?
  14. This war(not literally!) has been waged with some of my friends lately. I like to see your take on it. So what gaming platform do you think is the best? Xbox, PS2 or PC?P.S. I cant seem to find a box to set up a poll? Notice from qwijibow: Moved to gameing: The life discussion board if for more serious topics.
  15. The U.S has lost over 1,571 lives, 12,022 have been wounded (6,052 serious) or unknown non-combat injuries. The Iraqs losses are still being disputed, but it has been put from 21,000 people all the way to 100,000. 177 soldiers from other countries have been killed and from 229 to 355 cilivlians have been killed
  16. Because they don't have the resources to go thru every single site on the internet. That would prbalby send them broke
  17. Yes, I've somehow manage to get back to it, after promising to myself that wouldnt touch it again.
  18. Hi, hope to see you around. It a fair effort, but you will get it soon.
  19. Someone could accidently misspelt it.In anycase thanks for the heads-up
  20. An Australian was recently captured in Iraq by insurgents. I think this is the first capture of an Australian civilian in Iraq, and I wanted to ask what do you think the ramifications are there for the Australian Government? And do you think the Government is doing enough for him?
  21. That might send Iraq into anarchy. It would end up being alot more worse than what we have now. You need to note that their are many factions in Iraq, there usualy through religous faith. Many of them have their own private army and that may end up becomeing a problem with the new government.
  22. Provided they don't force me into what they believe in, I don't really care what kind of lifestyle they lead.
