  1. It is one of those funny things in life. You are right, there are hypocritical of there religon. But you got to remember that it realyy not the philosophy's fault really, because many a people have written fantasic things about life, and how we should live it out, but again, many peoplewill misinterpet the infomation, and that leads to friction, which leads to hate against one another, which leads to break-up, then to sterotyping, then to war.
  2. Well try telling them that. :(Indeed Creationism seems to have had a foothold in America, yet there is absloutely no scientific proof that it is true, and there'll probably be no way of conclusively proving it.Guess people just take the Bible to seriously.
  3. lol at the bumpageI think alot of the info on the page is full of **** if you ask me.
  4. The only real issue is that you need to continuously post on this from or they will take your hosting away from you.
  5. It takes millions of years, before we see the obvisious effects of evolution. That's assuming the theory is correct.According to the theory, Evolution can not stop. We will continually change and change to suit how we are. How fast we change however, can slow down.
  6. Do that and you can say goodbye to the U.S (and the world's) economy . We would, but unfortunately, we just might be too late.
  7. The most likely replacement for the normal petrol cars would be a petrol-electric hybrid. This is because you can already buy this type of cars. They still use petrol, however they would have a reduced amount of petrol needed. Solar cars like any electrical car, sufferes from a problem that they can not go beyond 60km/h (that's 37.284m/h for you Americans out there), thus they need petrol to go beyond that speed. Problem is that by the time we get to 2008-2020 (depending on who you talk to) We would have half the amount of oil we have left. This may seem comfortable, until you realise that it would be harder and harder to extract the remaning oil left. This would shoot the price of oil up and up. This would completely damage the economy of every nation in the world, because we are so relant on oil for our daily needs, like making plastics, transporting goods, transport, etc. This would mean we would go into a depression much akin to the Great Depression of the 1930s. Thus, the really only way to avoid trouble, is to go research 'green' alternatives to oil. Another thing, Global Warming is most likely true. We can start to see the effects here in Australia, which is currently in a drought. Melbourne is getting warmer and warmer as the years go by. Might not seem much, but there's something happening that we can rule out as false. If I remembered right, trees release carbon dioxide after a certain time period, but it is something I need to look up. Trees actually do produce Oxygen whether they are mature or not, that I'm pretty sure of. You need to remember that EVERYTHING in Science is Theory, not facts. For example, the Theory of evolution, Theory of General Relativity etc. So you really can't say get Facts, because everyithng in Science is not fact but theory.
  8. I'm sorry, but i cant honestly find it in that area.
  9. Theres gg = good game gfg = good ****ing game (usually used is it was a bad game) n00b, nub, nubcake etc. (few other comboations) = Insulting term for new player, usually used with they don't know thats happening and don't want to be taught Newbie, newb = A new player
  10. It is also possible for the human brain to see you from outside. It is called a 'out-of-body experience and can be caused by magnetic field in a lab.
  11. There was a philosopher who argued that point, but I've forgotten the guys name. Unfortunely, when you add the 100s of other religions, thats becomes harder.
  12. Only you know you exist. Everything else could all be a lie, like the Matrix.I think this world runs by a set of rules, but I really don't think that we will be ever advanced enough for us to happen.
  13. I was changing the password of my cpanel, and now, it wont let me in. Is there anyway, we could change the password?
  14. There language is most likely to be similar to us. 50,000 years isn't a long time.
  15. Unfortunely, what's stopping someone misinterpretating the misinterpretation? That's part of the problem, the words are so subjective, it's not funny.
  16. Sigmund Freid, was the guys name i think. He was a psychiatrist (physiology didn't exist then), Anyway, your definition of life is a very scientific one, which when some people who are regious, may not believe in at at all. My contribution to this, that the meaning of life can be totally different from each other. For example, life n. pl. lives (lvz) 1. The property or quality that distinguishes living organisms from dead organisms and inanimate matter, manifested in functions such as metabolism, growth, reproduction, and response to stimuli or adaptation to the environment originating from within the organism. (Text devived from http://www.dictionary.com/) is the meaning of life, when it comes to a dictionary. However, I can't see that as the meaning of life, because of how cold, depressive it is. I think most people would agree with me on this one. You have your meaning in a scientific way. However, different people would believe different things. We ask that question, because of the same reason why we have science. Why?. Humans have always been curious about their past, and as such, they want to know, what is there pupose in life? Why we are here? It is hard to explain, but I think that gets the gist of it.
  17. If I can have a bit of a say of the meaning of life here... I think the meaning of life is different for each person. The meaning of life is set through the goals that we want, achieve, or even goals that we don't achieve. Our beliefs, upbringing, friends will shape what we see as the 'meaning of life.' For example, Catholic would believe the the meaning of life is to live a good life so we can live in heeaven when we die. Other people may believe different things. Some people may not be religous at all, and may believe different interpetions of the 'meaning of life.'
  18. Doesn't really bother me, I don't usually care what religon someone is in, they just have to be good-hearted.
  19. That's a very good essay.I haven't read the whole essay(I've skimed thorugh it though), because I really don't have the time, but I do have have to agree with you on the point where religon should not be misinterpreted.Unforunately, all religons with have its hertics, its misinterpreted, its problem. This is because many people will see things in different light. For example, the 'is a glass half-full or half-empty?' question is a very good example. People will have different perspectives on different matter. And that's unavoidable, unfortunely. Sometimes the different perspective is a good thing, for example inter-faith diagologe. However, different perspectives can lead to trouble, for example, Islamic Extrermism, which has unfortunately lead to horrific terrorist attacks such as 9/11.I was born in Australia. My mum is a devout Catholic, my dad, a bit more liberal. However, one of the major things about Australia is its multicutural society (offending a person based on race, colour, national or ethnic background could land you in jail), so I have been exposed to many cultures, religons etc. I beieve that religon's purpose is to help comfort people in times of grief. That should be it's first priorty. Because, we don't know whos god is the right one. Or if there is one at all. So preaching should be placed after it.
  20. I might be able to use thats. Where exactly can you get this?
  21. I honestly don't think that would be possibe, and if it could, it wouldnbe used for military purposes, since in real life, the blasters would easily annihate them.
  22. The old one, is a bit more dirct, with more cleareer info so you can read the infomation better. This looks more elegent, but dont replace it with the old one.
  23. Oh, hi Solus :)Yeah Natural Selection is a free game, provided you have Half-Life or Counter-Strike. It is a ver y good game, the only real bad thing is that it's old engine cant handle the amount of thing the NS dev team are doing to it.
