nice tut...very very detailed...wonder how long it took you to do that ? i like the style you used in the sig as well...text wasnt my favorite...but it was still good...i saw the outcome sig and it gave me an idea...i didnt read through the whole tut (being so long and i already know that stuff) but i wanted to make something similar but it came out quite different... but very nice tut...i like it a lot...keep it up

id take photoshop over paintshop anyday...photoshop creates higher quality images and is much faster on slower machines than paintshop. photoshop also offers a whole variety of options to the user that paintshop doesnt touch on...photoshop is also very easy to learn whether you are comming from another program or just starting off with no abilities. photoshop is a great program and should be in everyones arsenal or programs...i have photoshop 7 on my old laptop whcich is a pIIMMX 366mhz with 162mb ram and it runs without any difficulty what so ever...i have photoshop cs2 on my desktop which is a P4 2.8ghz with 512mb ram and it also runs without any difficulty...i love photoshop and will stick with it forever

i like linux...linux is way better than any os microsoft has or will put out but there is the money issue...linux just isnt known to a broad audience and isnt advertised or anything...if more people knew bout linux and its capabilities i believe that it would gain a stronger foothold in the os world...but the fact is that microsoft is too big right now...they are controlling the industry (so to speak) and with the majority of people in the world not knowing how to use computers (in terms of advanced usage ) and they dont care what os they have as long as it works...and it just happens to be that windows is the only os they know about...i asked my dad last night to name all the operating systems he knows (he knows what an os is from the old days) and he said 3.1, 95, 98, me, and xp...i asked him if he was sure...and he said jup thats all of them...so i told him bout all the unix based os's and apples os's and he just kinda wondered off...people just dont care that much yet...pretty soon everything will be based on computers and they will be forced to give a da**

idk...im starting to not like cops very much...i mean...dont get me wrong...they do alot of good things...getting rid of all the criminals making sure that stolen stuff is returned and all that great cop stuff...but i think that they just take it too far sometimes...i was watching a show the other day dateline nbc i think it was...they were doing an inside investegation...they went online to a chat room and started chatting to people pretending to be young kids who wanted sex (so they were lying - comes up later in the story) and they were looking for sexual offenders and stuff...they would tell the people they talked to to meet them and a location with some stuff and junk...well dateline had cameras and cops and junk set up at that location and would catch the guys as they came in...once again kinda seems icky on how they are doing this...but they are getting rid of some bad people in this case (one guy was 60+ and was there to have sex with a 10 year old boy....nasty...illegal crap - another afgahn guy said that what he was doing was legal and that they had no reason to arrest him or ne thing) but...it was interesting...cause the guys would flip out...but the cops lured them there....so idk...kinda one of those things...lol..i think i got off topic...maybe...a little...o well...no post counts ne ways...

ok i dont know whats going on with the first sig...cause i go to school on ie and its all fd up and i come back home and its just fine on opera....stupid browsers - i was starting to fix it so it was all layery and blends and stuff but i gave up and started a new one... on this one i actually took my time and used all my skills that i have acquired took me almost two hours to come up with this...lemme know what you think...and i think youll like it thanks for the few replies on the last sigs i can understand when they suck

thanks...yeah thinking bout it now the guy prolly should be a little bigger...and i usually do a drop shadow on the renders but i wanted to try sumtin different this time...i just realized one the first sig i posted (its very very very bad) i uploaded the wrong one....the flower in her hair is all messed up because the box didnt cut off and all the white between her legs and arms and hair and stuff is still there...it shouldnt be - i had fixed that and saved it...i dont know what went wrong - ill see if i can get it back and the way its suppose to be...

ahh...man...this sux *bottom*...ok well...no s/n...and the results are bad...but anyways...heres how it went down..:)i came into school today with the rest of the stuff i bought with the camera...and my friend (megan) told me that i got called to the office...so i went to the office...the principle (frank) wanted to talk to me...and he took me into a back room and asked me a bunch of questions...like who i got it from, when, how much, blah blah blah...well...then i had to go and talk to the liason officer (finger) and he said that whether or not i bought the camera, it is still considered stealing (because i bought it stolen or sumtin and i shoulda known that or sum **** like that) but anyways...i got a 250 dollar fine ! and a three day out of school suspension for this sh** ... its bull...so now im at home waiting till my dad gets home (he never believes anything that i say) he knows i bought the camera and all...but frank called his cell and talked to him bout what exactly is going on...my dad gets pod at anything that goes wrong...so i can only imagine what hes going to say when he talks to me bought buying a stolen camera and getting 3 days suspension and a 250 dollar fine :@ ;( this sux

was going over some of those tuts again...and liked the results...so i found a nice render...and came up with this (this isnt the first pop out sig i have...but its the first time ive used a distorted canvas...and i like the results) i have read the tuts before..but i decided not to go by them (as they tend to make your work look like someone elses) so i just figured out my own style on how to do it...but here is my result hope you guys enjoy it as much as i do...comments plz its a little big....but i wanted it that way:d

yeah m^e i realized that too when i was sittin in class third hour...but i looked all over the camera and couldnt find a s/n ... which is odd but yeah ... idk ... i am going to talk to "sarah" again before the end of school to figure everything out... i should ask to see the camera agian...and if i find a serial number ill check into where it actually came from... thanks

this is bull...a while ago i bought a camera from a friend (mike we'll call him) for 20 bucks...mike had just bought a new camera he sold me the old one he had because he said it was apparently busted (but it wasnt, worked just fine) i have had it for about four months or so now...and i decided to bring it to school (normally i wouldnt do this because im affraid someone would steal it) but i am in photography this semester and the cameras they have us using suck (you can only take bout 6 pictures on them before they run out of memory)...so i bring it in...and get all my pictures taken for class and i am uploading them onto the computer when the tecahers walks by (well call her sarah). she picks up my camera and asks were i got it...i told her i bought it from a friend a while ago - he thought it was busted...she said oh...cause i think its stolen ! ...i was pissed...but i let her take the camera willingly because i did not want to get into trouble. i stayed after class and talked to her. she said that she could be wrong but the cameras that the school had have a thing on them to be identified...she checked my camera and said that it looked like it might have had one (that it got ripped off or sumtin) so i was like ok...well...i didnt want to get into any trouble so i let her take the camera without any arguments or anything. she told me that she filed a police report bout it and that i might have to talk to our schools leasion officers (he can be bob )...tthis sucks...so now because i bought a camera from who i thought was a friend...i might get in trouble...she kept saying she wasnt accusing me...i dont care if she was or not..because i didnt take the camera...i just dont want to get my friend in trouble...i mean...sure...he sold me stolen property...but hes been my friend for almost ten years...and im not even sure if he really stole it anyways...he might have just bought it off of someone too...idk...its all stupid...but what should i do...should i stick with my friend and not give any names or anything...or should i give names and protect myself just in case?

that is amazing...i love it...i see how it works now...that black and white cord that is showing there...that would actually be plugged into a power adapter (much like the ones we use for cd players) that adapter would do the ac-dc conversion for it because the p.s. is unable to. this will make our mini modded cases much much smaller...mabybe now my plan to mod a power supply would work (i have seen it done before) but now it will be completely ironic...a modded ps with no ps ....i like where im going with this

this whole "blaming other people" thing has gone too far...it is complete idiocy...the two spoiled brats didnt know right from wrong because their parents were to caught up in their own money to teach them...and it still isnt soley the parents fault...either way people (sane people at least) have a concsious...and should know when they are doing something wrong...if you are there would be that little voice in the back of your head that is screaming off all the things that could go wrong at that moment and giving you that guilty feeling in your gut...whether it be video games, movies, books, magazines, songs, w/e...it is just stupid to blame them because of a persons actions...peolple make the choices and when you make choices you obviously understand the consiquences (either consciously or unconciously)...im glad these kids are behind bars--------------------------p.s. im not sure whether this was a story, movie or w/e that im remembering this from but wasnt there sumtin bout a guy who got so obsessed with a game that he thought his everyday life was that game, he ended up killing some people and went to court and was convicted of murder or sumtin...and his plee was that he didnt kill anyone because it was just a game...but they found him guilty because they proved that he had a grasp on reality (they asked him a question bout the day he killed them and the game or sumtin ) -im going to try to find this again...im pretty sure i read it somewhere...anyone know ?

that is complete bull****, this guy should not get two f***ing years because some agent made him download illegal s***. as was already said thats entrapment (it is not right for a cop to speed behind you and make you speed, then pull you over - thats illegal [although its legal for them to sit at bottom of hills ] ) i do agree that he did something wrong...but two years is out of the question...at most probation or a fine...not jail time c'mon. as marretas said drunk drivers get fines when they could have killed someon.little while ago i had to go to one of those points reduction classes because i had gotten two tickets in a row - totalling to 12 points, and there was a guy in there who had to come to this class because he had been stopped for drunk driving for the second time - the first of which he had actually gotten into an accident and hurt someone - and he needed this class to keep his liscense (the guy had only gotten a large fine for the first offense - bull**** right there) and now he was getting away with it again with just another slap on the wrist...(little off topic i guess...) but my point is that this guy should not get two years in prison over downloading a file...if a drunk driver can get away with murder why should he be put in jail for a petty crime!-------------------------------------------p.s. isnt it illegal or sumtin to be found guilty because of your previous records...cant they only use that as a lee way sorta thing (where its more of a possiblity that he did it because hes done it before) ?

that is ok...connoisseur or amateur....opinoins are good...lol...yes i was weary bout using the same color...but i was kinda quick with this sig...i wanted his face only to stand out...so i picked a color similar to his hair and added a drop shadow so that it didnt completely dissipear...and as i said i used the zoom blur to focus more on his face...but i dont think it turned out the way i wanted it to....was suppose to be like a horror flick :Palso yeah...the text...i am not very good with text...i have only had one that was good...i have been trying to come up with some techniques of my own for text...but as you can see...most are not to good :Pyeah...thanks for the comment...i will see what i can do with it

i have been really busy lately...as has everyone else i expect...with exams and what not...but i actually sat down today after school and came up with a little design tell me what you think... i found the render on deviant and had an idea in my head from the game f.e.a.r....the idea was suppose to be scary and like he was possesed by an evil spirit..i did a zoom blur on the rnder to focus on his face...kinda like he is speeding away (some horror flicks do this)...and then i wanted a grungy/creepy background ... i think i did alright...i used only two brushes and the text i wanted to go along with the scary theme...but i wanted to blend it in with the background (i am usually not very good at this) anways...coments ?

i agree with what has been said here...your second sig is the better of the two...but both could use some work. i agree that you could possibly focus on the sword more in the second sig because well...with your little crack effect (nice btw) that is where the attention is. also, as reaver had said, you should make it look like the sword is actually going through the sig (or in the ground or w/e) by getting rid of the rest of the sword (as reaver had said) or if you still have the .psd file by simply using the magic wand to get the exact line of the crack and split the render, then using feather to blend it in...not too much just so it doesnt stick out as much (prolly 5px...10px at most). your first sig isnt all that bad. the background is half the battle, and i love the background. you could use a different render though, it is always nice to try to get the render you like into the sig but it doesnt always work (you can try color balance, and mess with the levels - as was mentioned) but a fresh render would be best (you could try looking on deviantart.com - thats where i get all my renders). it is hard to find renders for sigs once you started on a sig...so i suggest starting over again...and using the same effect you did in the background on the first one (if you can recreated it). i am curious on how you came up with these backgrounds using the pen tool, indeed the pen tool is powerful (i used it in my mcr sig - only the pen tool...nuttin else)...you should put a tut together on it...i also wanted to comment on the idea of combining the two...nobody else seemed to go into that much...i think it would be nice to use the background effect on the second sig...but keep the crack idea in the second sig as well...you should prolly just forget bout the render in the first sig...as it sticks out too much...you should mess with the levels to get some blue in the render on the second sig (as was said by reaver) to blend in more. (i think you should keep the swords color the way it is...jsut an idea...it might stick out too much...but then again..it might just add that little sumtin that makes a sig great - maybe split the sword from the render and give it a more suddle color then the render itself - just so it sticks out more than the render)...eitherway they both are ok sigs...all sigs could use a little more work, there is never an end to how much time you can spend on a true work of art.keep up the good work !

sum of you cant see site because i shut the server down....and there is only 4 pics in the template...1 big one so yeah...everyone i had lookin at it before had no problem (then again it might be because we are bogging down the connection on our end...and you guys are getting slow upload rates...cause currently i believe the dlserver we have on the same connection is downloading suse 10 iso's...but that should be done soon...and i have to have a second connection from charter sent yet too...(cable internet - no sucky dsl) and yeah...i have to finish some of the stuff yet...like buttons and the right side of the table is just a 1 pix line...

i have been hosted by Xisto for almost a year now...and have been trying to get my ftp server up and running and finally the other day we got it...i cancled my hosting and i now am hosting my own site for free...maybe a little slow...but cable...so not bad....and i decided to redesign my site completly as well...and id like for you guys to rate it...although i dont really have much done yet...no buttons and stuff...but i will add them...as soon as i can come up with an idea that will match the theme (any ideas ? ) anyways...heres the link Original Design Website thanks a lot...

here is another sig i came up with...i wanted to make a vector sig...but also wanted to make a pop out sig...so i just did both in one ....i think it looks good...but not perfect...what can be fixed ? also the background isnt working...i saved it image as a .png and the background is suppose to be transparent but it is not...i was on my computer and i put the image onto a quick webpage and it was transparent but i upload it to my site and it isnt transparent...is it because i resized the image...
