  1. @lonebyrd, you could always ask them to join Facebook, HI5, Friendster or Orkut (if you have a Google account, you instantly get access to Orkut!) instead, which is a lot better than MySpace. Those networks actually have good security measures. I don't even know how MySpace even got its grip at the fifth most visited website. xboxrulz
  2. Since not many people know about any of the Power Architecture processors, I'll explain. The POWER architecture was born around the 1970s by IBM in hopes of introducing RISC to the world. POWER stands for Performance Optimisation With Enhanced RISC. POWER has been powering many servers and computers throughout the world since then. Some famous POWER processor includes the PowerPC family found in pre-2006 Apple Macintoshes (G3 - G5). POWER processors can also be found in XBOX 360 (Xenon, 970-based), Wii (G4 based) and the PS3 (Cell BE, 970-based). Now, P.A Semi, a partner of IBM has created a truly powerful processor yet, very energy efficient. It even breaks the most efficient x86-based architecture. To date, that would be the Intel Core 2 architecture. The PWRfficient processor's power usage is clocked at 25 Watts (TDP). While Core 2 processor's (desktop version) power usage is clocked at 65 Watts (TDP). Both chips are Dual Core chips that are clocked at least 2 GHz each. However due to the fact that P.A Semi's processor is based on the POWER-architecture, it can achieve better computational power than x86 processors at the same clock speed. For more information, take a look here: http://forums.xisto.com/no_longer_exists/! Intel data provided by Wikipedia. EDIT: Updated on second page. xboxrulz
  3. They have a graphical installer now? Since when :S?Anyways, if you just want to test out operating systems, I would highly recommend you using a virtual machine since it's much easier and the chances of blowing your system wide open would be slim.xboxrulz
  4. Something hit my head yesterday and finally noticed my favourite movie used MySpace instead of Facebook ... argh. (that movie is Happy Feet btw).Anyways, I just compiled data showing that almost all (90 - 95%) of my high school is connected through Facebook. Current and former students also use this exact service. MySpace comes close second (about 50 - 55%) and others with lower percentage. These numbers can't equal 100% because some people use both MySpace and Facebook or others.xboxrulz
  5. Yup, and apparently traditional gamers don't like the Wii because most of its games are minigames. Now they hail "Wii has NO games".xboxrulz
  6. No, that's not the official name, but the community calls them that. The official name is the Wii remote.xboxrulz
  7. If you have an EB Games/Gamestop near you they will let you try, but they will require to ask you for your ID, just in case you steal the Wiimotes. xboxrulz
  8. odd, they shouldn't force people to run that software, they should've left it as optional.xboxrulz
  9. odd... my Walmart carries both HD-DVD and BD versions of Happy Feet and the DVD version was on sale. Then again I'm in Canada, which may explain why . True, the penguins are so "realistic" I thought it was real on DVD ... I wonder how it looks like on HD-DVD on a 1080p TV . xboxrulz
  10. WiiConnect 24 only needs a wireless connection in your house, that's all it needs. As for the storage, it comes with a 512 MB internal flash memory and you can transfer data (but can't save) on to SD cards. It is also true that you can surf the web on the Opera browsers that you download off the Wii store. xboxrulz
  11. Of course innovation is important, however, the Wii is missing in the innovations of the graphical side. Also, it's missing some basic traditional gaming concepts. That's beside the point now since the Wii is in a different submarket than the XBOX 360 and the PS3. The other systems that have Guitar Hero II (the game you're talking about) are Playstation 2 and the XBOX 360. There are more songs on the XBOX 360 version but the PS2 version should be good enough if you just only want it for Guitar Hero. xboxrulz
  12. Just make Windows Explorer see all hidden files and delete LaunchU3.exe and the Applications folder.xboxrulz
  13. Ummm... weird... this is out of my league, go talk to the pros at suseforums.netxboxrulz
  14. I would really love to watch penguins dancing in HD, but I realized that I don't have an HD-DVD player xboxrulz
  15. Have you checked your ALSA settings? Make sure that aRts is configured to run on ALSA. Also, make sure that nothing is muted.xboxrulz
  16. Wii is a great system, but it can't be a standalone system if you're a traditional gamer. It comes best with either the XBOX 360 or PS3.I myself, is a traditional gamer, and am opting for the Wii60 combo when the Wii drought ends.xboxrulz
  17. Java was actually designed for the web and C++ was never meant for web.xboxrulz

  19. lol, I got the DVD version instead (was opting to get the HD-DVD version, but I just remembered, I don't have the HD-DVD player for my XBOX 360 !) The DVD version also has special features too, including how to dance like a penguin. It's a great movie! I recommend it for all!! Here's some photos I took from the DVD (literally screenshots from the movie), photos hosted on Facebook: - DVD cover (front) - DVD cover (back) - Happy Feet DVD - Gloria stares at Mumble's Egg - Mumble's egg hatches - Gloria chases Mumble's egg. 21. It's been only ... ummm ... 6 months ago when I announced I was in third place on the most post count, and here's my latest progress report on my plan for Xisto domination ! I'm now second !! I have surpassed qwijibow 100 posts and I'm trailer after microsopic^earthling by 737 posts. I'm catching up and am not going to stop until I'm in 1st place . Once again, sorry for useless posts like these, but I just love posting them once in a while, just for fun . xboxrulz
  22. Sorry, at Xisto we use high-performance Linux servers for our users with an incredible expectancy for high-quality servers.ASP is a Microsoft technology and requires Microsoft IIS in order to run. Unfortunately, there is no such support in Linux. I may suggest you to use an open standard like PHP.xboxrulz
