now all my tiger system is ok,network,sound, and even the g5 app (iWork 2005) can run the machine. my hardware is p4 2.4 without sse3,only sse2. anway, the screen refresh rate is low. My friend just sent me a program source file.It is a *.cpp file (C++ source).When I open with text editor (gedit), there is a ^M at the end of each line.Then I try vim and emacs. they just give me a same result.What is that ^M???Why does it there???How can I delete them all (not one by one)???Thank you.

Hi, is the Novii Remote on Treo650 strong enough? e.g 3 meters distance is okay?Novii has a product called Novii Blaster for Treo, which makes me think that Treo IR is very weak.I am quite interested in turning off TV or increasing volume to MAX in shops.

Anyway if you've played, Post'emI got my copy of winning 11 about a week ago.What can I say.... it is the best WE ever..WE8LWE doesn't even come close to this masterpiece. WE9 is a totally different game.Playing this game and watching real life footballthe team selection screen is different. it classified by region.and there is Hong Kong NT in the game but we cant use them. But you can only play against HK NT while playing with Japan to challenge in the World Cup...the crowd is much better now. they start cheering whenever there's a counterattack. and the animations are awesome

all students in our university have an FTP account for file storage. So access to FTP server is the thing that I do it everday. Therefore, I configure my Windows XP to map to the FTP server as a drive. Here are the step that I take: 1. use NSLOOKUP to find out what the ip address of the FTP site: CONSOLE nslookup ftp.globalscape.com (this is a example only) write down the ip address that was shown. in this case, it is 64.243.64.21 2. Open the LMHOSTS file it is inside the folder c:\windows\system32\drivers\etc Add the following line: 64.243.64.1 CuteFTP #PRE the format is: <ip address> CuteFTP #PRE 3. Save the file 4. Run CMD.EXE. Enter the following command: CONSOLE nbtstat -R you will see this message: Successful pureg and preload of the NBT Remote Cache Name Table. 5. Then enter the following command: CONSOLE net view \\CuteFTP You should see information on the site 6. My friend's system crashed.He brought his computer (without monitor) to me and asked me to re-install Windows XP for him.ok, that is a easy job.Everything is fine. But I set the screen resolution as 1024*768.He connected his old monitor to that computer after he got it back.His old old monitor does not support 1024*768 screen resolution. :DHe said he cannot see anything other than a black screen.I guide him to modify the setting in safe mode, but fail.and he does have other monitor.How can the screen resolution be modified to 188*600 in this situation???Thank you.

I am learning asp currently.The learning environment is windows 2003 plus the builtin IIS.Time format in this machine is set to 24 hours format (hh:mm:ss).However, when i call the Now() function in a ASP script, the time it caught anddisplayed as "2005-7-29 7:32:40pm".Is there anyway to make it displayed in 24 hours format.??Just like this "2005-7-29 19:32:40"
