However, the system I am developping is going to be integrated with the old system. There are some tables in the database already. Can i add extra autoincrement column to the old table without affecting the old system???

Tiger deleted my screensavers....and I cannot remember where I downloaded it...I used to use the great OS X Screensaver whichhad Legos falling down and land on a green pad Those just build a lego towers, but now I cannot seem to find it anywhere. I am currently developing a website which need to show the newest record in index page.The newest record should retrieve from mysql database.now, the question is....how can i get the newest inserted record from a particular table in myssql database???

I installed the "httpd-2.0.54.tar.gz" on my Linux system later ,but found that I could go through the authentication on 2.0.54.Perhaps there is a buger in 2.0.52-9.

now, i have some RM files.the file name look like this:V100.rmV101.rmV102.rmV103.rm...I wanna merge those RM files into one big RM file.V101 apend to V100.Then V101, then V102.....I did try Readl Editor which come with Helix Producer Plus 9.However, the perfroments become slower and slower after 10 or 20 files were merged.I have about 40 RM files. It took huge amout of time to finish the task.Is there any other softwares or methods can task like that quickly???

I got a problem with vim syntax highlight.When i type "syntax on" in the command mode , the vim return an error "can not open file /usr/share/vim/vim61/syntax/syntax.vim".then I found that I really don't have this file or directory. Because I use vim63 actually. The correct path will be "/usr/share/vim/vim63/syntax/syntax.vim". Am I right??I guess i should edit the path somewhere to solve the problem, but i can't find it.Please help me!! What i should do.Thank you very much!

Yea..there are so many way to install software in linux.in the above post,microscopic^earthling have give the process of installin softeware form source.different distribution has different install package.I alway use RPM and source since I use RedHat distribution.RPM stand for RedHat Package Manager. It is very simple to use.All you need to do is remember a few parameters of rpm command:For example: #>rpm [options] filename.rpmthe following are some usefule options:-i： install-e： uninstall-q：query about the installed software-U： upgradeE.G. when you install filename.rpm, you can use: CONSOLE #>rpm -i filename.rpm you don;t need to worry about where it is installed to, and how it was done.RPM can manages that.That's how to install a RPM package from console mode.in X windows environment, just simply double click on the package.....

Finally, I figured out what problem is it.It become 32GB only because the jumper setting.It set to limits drive capacity to 32 gigabytes. It just took my about 2 days to figure it out.Howevery, why do they have this kind of setting??what's the point to limit the drive capacity to 32 gagibytes??

I don;t think that 8 Gigabytes just because of the storage has been rounded up by the Hard Drive Manufacturers.you know, 8 Gigabyte is too much...i have checked my Bios setting as well.It supports LBA mode. and it is setted to LBA mode for both hard disk.So, I belived my bios setting is ok.Yes, the hard disk is in NTFS format.But 8 Gigabyte for the MFT or Master File Table, isn't too bigger, since there is no data in this 40GB hard disk yet.My 120GB hard disk is 11470MB show in partitionMagic.I just want to make it clear, I am talking the total space for partition, not the space available after partiton.Any idea???

I just get a 40GB hard disk from my friend.And installed to my windows XP pc.Before I boot into windows xp, I just run fdisk command in win98 bootdisk (DOS mode).But it shows it has 32GB only, not 40GB.. After that, I run PartitionMagic in windows XP to make partition again.PartitionMagic also it has 32GB only.Where do that 8GB go?? I could not find any hidden partation.I have another 120GB hard disk installed in this PC. It works just fine.So I think the setting in BIOS is correct.the PC: P4 2.4G, 1G RAM，GF4MMX，Master HD 120G，Slave40G.
